First time visiting but not the first time trying Madelyn's. Parking is conveniently located behind the bakery. Was sadly empty when we visited on a Saturday with a lot of goodies available. Preordered just in case. Really enjoyed the March special of a mint chocolate Bundt cake. Also their almond muffins were just like the almond croissants. Tasted incredible heated up a little! Great option for those who need to enjoy gluten free and vegan. read more

I've had gluten free before that were tasting. This was not. I tried the almond flour chocolate topped with toasted coconut. No chocolate or coconut taste at all. Very bland. I tried the espresso with coconut brownie. It busted tastes like coffee. Overwhelming...and I love coffee. It was a big waste of $$$ read more

Y'all! You gotta check this place out even if you're not gluten free, vegan, egg free, or dairy free! It's that good. And shout out to the young lady running this place, your baking is amazing! My wife and I were referred here by the staff at River Road Coffee House (check out my review over there too!), and I'm doing the same for you. I'm gluten free, and my wife is gluten, dairy, and egg free so we plan as though we are on our own in the small towns we love to visit so much. Boy we're we wrong in Newark, OH! Madelyn's is a treasure. We tried the cinnamon roll bar (stocked at River Road Coffee), two different kinds of muffins, a jalapeño "cheese" focaccia, and homemade oatmeal crème pies. My only complaint was that the focaccia was a little dry. The oatmeal crème pies were so good! I'm sure they're even better when fresh. The shop is warm and inviting, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Again, another place in central Ohio that we will be back to! read more

Just ate the chai cream pie I picked up from Village coffee in Sunbury. It was amazing. Staff there spoke highly of all your baked goods and really represented you well Can't wait to try the other selections. So good read more

Lol. The sign is small and it is in a lot with other businesses. They have coffee and various specialty drinks. They make custom cakes, cupcakes, and then have an assortment of pastries. I believe each week she has a different assortment of pastries available. I ordered a variety of donuts, chocolate pecan scones, a monster cookie, and she had two different kinds of cinnamon rolls. The monster cookie was delicious (there was only one left when I was there unfortunately). The chocolate pecan scones were awesome! There was an iced cinnamon roll and a maple icing cinnamon roll. I LOVED both the cinnamon rolls. They were both very soft and just right. I'm not a huge donut person but the donuts were very good! Stop and try this place!

The coffee cake was so good! I loved the potato bowl, the potatoes were super crispy and delicious and the sauce on it was divine. I would definitely recommend this little spot
