Dan Sung Sa is a late night Korean restaurant/bar/karaoke joint in Duluth near Pleasant Hill Rd. and I-85. Thanks to Angela H. for introducing me to this place last night. I heard it's open until 5am, but I didn't confirm. I went with a group of regulars and let them lead the way. This place is meant for Korean people. I don't know how the uninitiated or non-Koreans would find out about this place because there's not much written about it in English on the Internet... until now. Dan Sung Sa has a very unique and bizarre (in a good way) design. The storefront is plastered with old school Korean movie/music posters. When you first enter the store, it's like a regular restaurant. Off to the sides, there are private karaoke rooms. The dining space sort of reminds me of the now-defunct Harm Heung Cold Noodle. Relaxed lighting sets the mood and Korean LP record albums decorate the walls. This space also has a few widescreen TVs tuned to live Korean television. Last night, they were showing South Korea in the Olympics. The karaoke rooms are designed like traditional elementary school classrooms. There are chalkboards, children's drawings, and student chairs and desks. It's weird, but fun and amusing. Check out my photos to see what I'm talking about. The environment is generally clean and cozy. Note that smoking is allowed here, but it wasn't smoky during our visit (nobody was smoking at the time). If you smoke, they supply makeshift ashtrays made out of the bottoms of old soda cans. Unlike other karaoke joints (and someone correct me if I'm wrong), but Dan Sung Sa does not charge to use their karaoke systems. They do require you to purchase something off of their menu, though, before they turn on the TV and hand over the karaoke remotes and microphones. The menu has a whole host of Korean foods and drinks. We ordered a pitcher of beer and a bottle of yogurt soju, which tasted great. The karaoke system worked well. Excellent sound quality and the TV and equipment were in very good condition. Song selection was also very respectable -- a deep mix of both Korean and American songs. The rooms are small, so the sound really reverberates. It was nice. Service was good, though the female server wasn't the most friendly. It looked like she didn't want to be there. Overall, I ended up liking this place and had a good time. I'll definitely keep it in mind in my karaoke rotation now.

My friends and I came from out of town just for a visit. This is the best way to karaoke! Food, drinks, very Covid friendly. We had a great time!

One of my favorite places to go~ I only got 1 picture in today bc my phone died :( They have a variety of unique dishes and let's just say you'll find yourself craving them throughout the week! They also have karaoke rooms so you can drink and sing your heart away without the embarrassment. Fyi: YOU MUST TRY THEIR UNLIMITED BBQ!!

This is a great place for Korean BBQ and Karaoke. Amazing food and cheaper price!! I had spicy Dae-chang for dinner last night. It tasted AMAZING. it is actually like a tasty spice!! (I asked them to make it a little spicier). If you really like spicy food, give it a try! And now they have a spcial event - Pork skirt steak only at $5.99!! They gave us some for free. It was also great!

Spicy chicken cheese was amazing. Great choice here.

Stopped here for some late night food since most places are closed. Ordered the bulgogi hotpot, kimchi rice ball and lunch box. Didn't really have high expectations since it's 2am but it turned out to be wonderful. The portions were great, food was delicious, especially the bulgogi hotpot. Definitely would come back again and try their bbq.

Very very good food. Very homey feel. Staff is very sweet. The steak is amazing... and Kalbi soup was awesome. It may not be the newest kareoke place but it more than makes up for it with its delicious cuisine...

This is one of my favorite places to go. The service is great and the food is awesome. The place is small but very clean. They also have many booths for those of you that like privacy.

Spicy Chicken special, tasted good and was for a good price. I came here for karaoke and it was a great atmosphere, the waitresses were nice, and the experience was overall fun.

Very good food... Very good service...

I had 20 pcs wings and a two bottles of water. The total came out $42. They over charged me with water bottles, when the menu says $1.99.

All you can eat Korean ribs and chicken steak for 20 bucks. Pretty good food on top of the good price. I recommend this place highly.

What could you improve? Definitely customer service! A bartender named "T" that worked here on…read moreWednesday evening around 4PM on 3/11/26. Girl please pray! I had gotten here around 4:30PM and went to the pool table, I had been waiting close to 15-20 minutes to be served. I just went to the bartender with a slicked back bun and wearing a burgundy shirt named "T" to ask for a drink since my friend had gotten there before me and said she had taken his order prior to me getting there. After waiting about 3 minutes at the bar, she approached me and rudely asked if I had been sitting by the pool tables. I replied and said "yes I'm sitting near the pool tables" and she responded rudely again and said she couldn't take my order and the server sitting in my section would take it. I had told her "okay, well I have been sitting here for a while waiting to be served and I wanted to order a drink" and she responded and said "well we didn't see you over there, go back to your table and I'll get your server" The server named Dom, took my order and I asked him for her name since he either saw/heard what happened. Bless his heart for trying to rectify the situation by bringing the food out quickly and being more pleasant. What makes the story worse, is that this bartender (after she yelled at me) went back to the pool tables where we were sitting to take away plates for another table she had already served and they were sitting one table over from us. So she served them (males) and my friend (another male) and felt like she refused to help or serve me. Overall, I would come back but definitely steering clear of that rude bartender that was very sarcastic and had a nasty attitude. Definitely go there on weekend nights when different bartenders are working and aren't as rude.

The vibe here is always chill with all types of people of varying ages…read more They have a ton of T.V.'s everywhere with different sports channels. I believe they have two pool tables and four or so dart boards. The pool is always popular, but the darts are almost always available the few times I've visited. The food and drink prices were pretty reasonable. Food quality is pretty average for bar food. You know how it is. Nothing of the extreme spectrum of gross or amazing, just right in the middle. I have a receipt from three years ago because I wanted to remember certain drinks that was ordered. Well... The Irish car bombs for instance has not increased in price: $7.50. I can't believe some of their prices haven't changed in years. But their drink selection has all sort of types and prices. I used to frequent the Peachtree Corners location, but that location has since closed down. This newer location is pretty spacious inside.
