This is more of an old school karaoke spot as they don't have YouTube. I do enjoy that you can add songs while people are singing and it keeps a running list (YouTube karaoke places sometimes only allows one song at a time and has to be put in right before going). They had two screens which gives you an options on which direction you want to sing (I love this). Their song selection/variety is kind of odd. It is extremely vast and caters to so many languages but looking for a basic song that almost any karaoke spot would have, they didn't. Echo Karaoke bar was very good. Our party made early arrangements for the weekend and our service attendant was very helpful and friendly. They even called me to remind me the room is booked. The Karaoke system and service provided was professional powerful. Selection of music was plentiful. They also had great food and drinks. The food was reasonable and drinks cold and readily available. The room itself was large enough for our party and although not to many bells and whistles with the decor, it was adequate for the amount of money we paid per hour. I will recommend this establishment and will try to frequent this wonderful place more often. read more

If I could give a negative star I would for this place. Warning this will be a long review. Me and my party of 6 were so excited for karaoke. We had reservations for the YouTube room for 9:30pm. We walked in the door right at 9:35, waited by the front desk and finally the girl behind the desk, who clearly had an annoyed attitude towards us said "we only give 5 mins past your reservation time and it's now 9:36". 1 min and 1 min due to waiting by the front desk and she didn't want to give us a room. After a few minutes and her having conversations with coworkers the owner came out and they took us to the room. Since we booked the room to be YouTube accessible we couldn't figure out how to get that set up we just used the songs available. One friend bought a bunch of waters and gatorades for us and had one of the workers assist with bringing them to the room. Said worker leaves and we continue on with our fun. Another friend says she notices the owner peeking in the door window. About 1 min after the owner busts in the room and starts asking if we had alcohol and we said no. She then proceeds to pick up our Gatorade and water cups and puts her entire nose in the cups and sniffs, leaving trails of her nose boogies and hairs all in our drinks I'm sure! Every single one of us stood mind blown that this was happening. Was this woman unaware that COVID was a thing? Is this the usual at this place? You suspect someone has drinks and you invade and stick your nose and face in their drinks? This has to be a health code violation. Once she was done sniffing our drinks she says "You guys wanted the YouTube room right?" We said yes that's what we originally booked for, she says okay I'll get that for you guys and leaves. Another worker comes in and says you guys only have 12 mins left do you still want me to set this up for you because you will be charged the youtube price even though you only used it for these 12 mins. We said no absolutely not, why would this be offered or suggested at this point? Clearly just so she could up charge us! The worker said he didn't understand why his boss told him to do that but we appreciated him telling us and asking prior. I don't write bad reviews often but this place was a bad experience. I know for sure none of us will be returning to this location but hopefully your experience is better if you do come here. read more

I remember coming to Echo as a middle schooler and they used to have $10 weekday specials where NRB was only $10/hour. Fast-forward 15 years later, Echo still has a special place in my heart. I usually come here whenever I don't want to run into anyone because everyone is out and about in the Duluth area. Surprisingly, this place gets a LOT of business. We visited on a weekend and we were told that there was a 30 minute wait. We saw that it was mainly packed with foreigners so it looks like Koreans don't come here as much but it's really weird because Echo has some of the best facilities. I think it's #2 after Doremi's facility. The rooms are pretty spacious and you'll have a great time at $20-25/hour and the staff there is generally friendly. They have a limited food menu as well -- it's not expansive at all but I highly suggest you try their wings or their udon... especially if you're drinking. I would've given them 5 stars because we had a great time there, however, the woman owner/manager who works there was VERY rude. When my daughter and I went to look at the place, she seemed like she didn't want us there. The older man owner/manager was SO kind and SO nice, but she was very nasty and rude and made it very clear she didn't want us to be there. The night of my Son's bday party on 6/14, I spent almost $700 including an open bar tab I had for our party, at the end she came in our room as we were cleaning up and saw little shot cups (which we used to take a birthday shot with my son, with drinks we all PURCHASED on my tab at the bar) then started yelling at me in her language accusing us of having outside beverages and walked away when I tried to explain. I then explained to the younger man and the older man what we were doing and they apologized for her. If it wasn't for this one woman who clearly did not want any other race at her establishment, I would say this place was so great! We had a WONDERFUL time despite being mistreated by that woman. Despite me spending the amount of money I spent, WITH an open bar, she was still being very racist and rude to me and my party. read more

We usually have no problem coming here. Unfortunately this is the first time we had a bad experience. Owner lied and said we cussed her off and demanded we pay the full price for one hour when we only sang for not even 10 minutes. If you want the full story read ahead: My boyfriend and I were singing and the owner walks in without knocking and turns down our mic while we're in the middle of a song, and tells us we're being "too loud". My boyfriend says "okay okay" Then we get interrupted again but by the manager, and he tells my boyfriend we're being too loud again and said the owner told him my bf cussed her off? My bf looked so confused and told him he never said such a thing. I was right there and witnessed everything and did not hear anybody cussing anyone off. All we did was say okay, how was that rude? We asked the manager if he could tell the owner there must have been miscommunication, but he said he didn't want to because she's his boss and he's just the manager... That ruined our whole mood so we decided to leave, and as we're leaving, we hear the owner is telling the whole staff complete lies. My bf was still nice to the owner and asked her nicely to not charge us the whole price since we were only 10 minutes into our 1 hour karaoke and he wanted to make it clear to her he never cussed her off. The owner was still wanting to charge us $20 which is the whole price for 1 hour and said we shouldn't have been rude, which we weren't. We eventually agreed to $5. When we went to pay, one of the employees tried charging us more than the agreement, which was odd because they were right next to us so they heard the whole conversation? We had to tell them again to not charge us the whole price and they just rolled their eyes and side eyed us. It's upsetting because we heard other people being super loud, and the place was empty anyway? This used to be our favorite spot, but now it's not going to be the same after this rude service. read more

My friends and I have gone to a few karaoke bars. We have gone to Echo before but not since the new owner took over. We were greeted very kindly and quickly. We went on a busy Friday but got a room very quickly for a group of 5! We ordered a couple bottles of beer and a couple of the cocktails. They were all amazing and cheap. The kimchi jjigae was the best I've had in Atlanta so far!! The Korean lady, I'm assuming the owner, was so sweet and welcoming. She knows how to run a store!! Sketchy and rude owners. I didn't want to write this review, but I feel like I should at least point out they run a shady business. These people price gouge everything on their menu. We showed them their own menu and the price next to it, but they took the menu away and made up another higher number to charge us. So unless you want to be scammed out of your money, I would avoid buying anything on their menu at all cost. The cherry on top was being yelled at to leave when they didn't even close for another 30 minutes. I get it, it's already close to closing time, but we still paid the full hour. They cut us off at 2:30 AM and someone shouted down the hall "LET'S GO!" to leave even though their hours stated they close at 3 AM, Friday. Imagine paying over $200 on drinks and karaoke to be yelled at to leave before closing time. Bottom line is, avoid this shady business and go elsewhere where the business actually respects their paying customers. read more

Reason for writing a review: the owner decided to overcharge us without a reasonable excuse. She asked for $60 claiming we were a party of ten until I called the young employee to verify that it was only 4 of us and he said it would be $30. She decided we needed to pay $40. From the beginning, the service was bad. As soon as we walked in they didn't even bother asking how can I help you or anything like that. There were two people in the front desk. A young guy and an older woman. I went up to the young employee and asked for much would it be for 4 people. He responded with 30 an hour. I agreed. I sat down to wait for my others friend to arrive. Once they arrive I said we're ready and the young employee proceeded to just point at the door for us to show. I thought he probably got the room ready for us and didn't think anything else. He didn't ask we wanted to purchase any waters or anything like that. We just walked in and the first issue was the fact that the lights did not work with the music. I proceeded to go outside and ask the guy if he could please fix it. He said I'm sorry it doesn't work which then the older woman said some instructions for him to fix it. He said try the next song see if it still doesn't work. We tried and it did not work. Which now I'm dealing they probably already knew from the beginning. I walked out to ask the guy in the front desk if he could switch us to another room where the lights would work. He looked annoyed by our request then another guy took over. Said to wait in the room then took us to the new room. He looked very annoyed as well. We proceeded to ignore it because we just wanted to enjoy our night out. At the end when the one hour timer on the screen was up we were ready to go home. We walked to the front desk to pay. This is where older woman said to pay $60, if the young guy hadn't come over to tell her it was only 4 of us from the beginning she would've tried to charge us $60. The other guy in the front desk apologized and talked to the woman. I said it's okay and repeated that the young guy told us it would be $30. She said no it's $40, I asked why?. She said because you switched rooms and I said because the lights didn't work. Once again she repeated that we had used two rooms and we had to paid a $10 fee. Which nowhere in time did they mention that. Which would have been something to let us know at the time things were happening. And that would have been fine for us. However, they did not let us know about this extra fee. The service was not good. The lady wanted to overcharge us from the beginning when it had one been 4 of us for only 1 hour. She was straight up disrespectful and dismissive of the whole situation. Having to pay $40 for one hour is totally fine but just wanting to take advantage of people is not. We went to celebrate my best friend's birthday and she ended getting upset at this place's way of handling a situation that could have not been an issue from ten beginning. I'm upset at the lack of clear communication and having to go trough many different instances that were uncomfortable and unnecessary. This place did not feel very clean. At one point when I went up to the counter to order drinks, a cockroach sprung over the counter and ran across the floor. Gross! Also, when ordering food and drinks, the lady at the counter quoted us a higher price until we showed her the lower price stated on the menu. I hadn't been in a Karaoke bar in years and although this was different than what I remembered... I had a very good time here. It's different in the sense that you rent rooms here, instead of performing in front of a bar. I was a part of a large birthday party, so our room was large. It was just a different experience. Most everything worked the same though. One main complaint was the lack of songs. There seemed to be several contemporary artists that had no song listings of any kind. There were others songs listed, that when played... didn't seem to quite match up with their soundtrack. It would have been helpful to have an easier and faster way to search song availability or maybe even a Top 10 favorite by genre or decade to get us going. Just a suggestion. Regardless... even with a few glitches and a learning curve to get started, we had a lot of fun and would definitely return! read more

Terrible customer service!!! I come here often to karaoke only because the location is close and convenient. However, the lady at the front desk who looks like she must be the owner/manager (Julie) was very rude and unfriendly. I came in with a group of 10 and we were not greeted at all. But if a group of Koreans walk in, they're super friendly to them. I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but that happens often. One time, I came with a group of 12, and only one person in our group was Korean but they didn't know that until we left when she started speaking to thank the workers and such. I just thought it was interesting because as we were leaving, they didn't say anything to us while we were paying or walking out, just a mellow "bye." But when my friend started speaking in Korean to them, they all of a sudden got excited and super friendly. Weird. As I was at the front desk waiting for someone to take my food order, Julie walked over and didn't say anything. She just stood there with her notepad. I told her I wanted to order some food. It wasn't until she realized I ordered a lot of food that she started speaking to me. By the way, their food and drinks are extremely overpriced!!! I paid $60 for kimchi fried rice, a fried platter, and 15pc wings. On another note, a friend and I went outside to grab something she forgot in the car and when we came back in, the lady asked if she could check our purse and rummaged to the bottom of our bags. She also had a worker come into our room to check the table and trash can to see if we had anything we weren't allowed to have. I thought that was extremely rude and disrespectful. In addition, they never have a set price for their karaoke services. I swear, it changes every time I'm there. When you go to pay, they never state what you're paying for but simply give you a total. There is no sign or anything that explains how much each hour costs per # of people, etc. And they HATE splitting up the bill. Julie especially looks like she hates her job and always gives attitude when she has to. The only reason why I come here is because they have spacious rooms, great equipment, and one of the best song selections. Other than that, customer service sucks and makes you feel mistreated. Do not recommend. Incredibly rude customer service ruins an otherwise decent karaoke spot. The place itself is decent. In a good location, somewhat clean and has good karaoke equipment, but I would not recommend anyone coming here, due to the kind of service we received. There are nicer karaoke places with much better service. The woman at the front counter (Julie), felt for some reason, that my sisters and I were not worth a minute of her time and showed it every chance she got. When we walked in, she didn't greet us or make us feel welcome at all, she plainly asked how many people and how long we needed a room for. Then, before we even had a chance to go to the room and settle in, she asked us for our drink order upfront (then everyone scrambled to think of what we wanted) but we didn't even have a menu or anything to look at. Later, I stepped outside to make a call, and when I came back in, I smiled at her making eye contact, and instead of smiling back, she rolled her eyes at me (wtheck? she might as well have said '$@&! Off' because it would've revoked the same kind of response) Then, there was another time I noticed her rolling eyes when my sister asked how the karaoke remote works. And lastly when I went to order another drink, she refused to open a drink for me, telling me there's an opener in the room and to do it myself. ** Sigh ** If it had not been my sister's birthday, I would've surely been upset with that Julie being rude to us, every chance she got, but I managed to ignore her and have a good time anyway. I was the chaperone and ride for my sister and her friends last night when we went to Echo to do some karaoke. It would have been second time at Echo, but I think it's going to be my last. We were a party of nine, and when we told her we would only be paying for an hour, the woman on shift (the cashier? owner?) was incredibly rude, to the point of practically saying, "As if," before leaving us in our room. She was stand-offish when I went to ask a question about the lights, and even worse when we went to pay for the one hour that we told her we would only be paying for. I realized that our party consisted mostly of teenagers, but we were still paying customers. I had the feeling that if we had been ten or twenty years older, we would have been treated better. Or if we'd had an older woman or man with us, despite the fact that I'm an adult myself. While the room we were given was more than big enough and clean as well, in the future I would rather patronize an establishment that's friendlier to teenagers and young adults. read more

We went on a Friday night. We were surprised there was no long wait and we were able to get into our room in a few minutes. They have all the songs you could think of. The drinks were reasonable and we loved the fruit plate they give you. Our group had a great time and the 2 people working up front were so nice. We were the last ones to leave around 3 am.
