It's been so long since I've been to a Bahama Breeze so I decided to stop by here for a quick lunch. There was hardly anyone there. Service was a bit slow. Food was decent. Drinks were ehh, like a fruit juice. It's fine for a quick cheap bite.

Bahama Breeze used to be the new and hip place to go to back in the 90s. Fast forward to today and it's now your average overpriced restaurant. We had dropped in here a few years back as a team outing. I was pleasantly amused to dip back into nostalgia but that's about it. I did enjoy the openness and layout of this place! They have some decent drinks and nice aesthetics but that's really about the only draw. The food is ok. It's worth a trip to pretend like you're at the beach!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my evening here at this location. My server Felicia was simply amazing. She was very patient with me and extremely helpful in taking the time to go over the menu with me. This is my 1st time here and I had quite a few questions. The menu has plenty of great food choices and I had to narrow it down. She was very informative and helpful. I highly recommend this location for a great dining experience with live entertainment.Tell them that Sonya McGuire sent you. You won't be disappointed.

I went on July 11th 2025 after work with coworkers. Casual Caribbean dining. We sat outside near the band that was playing. You could dance if you wanted to. I sat at inside table waiting for me party to arrive. Once they did we were moved to the outside table. This caused some confusion because the table already had glasses of water on it. Apparently, this signals to the staff that we were already being taken care of. However, this wasn't so. So, we sat approximately 10-15 mins before we called someone to help us. The waiter was very apologetic and then explained what had happened. The vibe is very cool and relaxing. Dining while listening to the live band was very nice and the 2 man band was very good as well. The food was very good and satisfying. I had the coconut shrimp and yuca cheese sticks. It's a nice and easy dinner on a weekend night.I still would definitely recommend.

The food was delicious and the service provided was incredible as always. I had Andy, he was a great server. The ambiance as always is amazing and I felt like I am in the islands. Thank you Bahama breeze!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. My mom and I came here after getting my car serviced for some dinner. There's ample amount of free parking which I love. The ambiance is perfect. It makes me feel like out on the beach with the sand between my toes. We got the beef empanadas and coconut shrimp to start. They were both great! I got the jerk shrimp pasta and my mom got the tequila glazed salmon for our entrees. For dessert we shared the flaming rum cake which was tasty. All of our food was great, hot, and delicious. Our servers Trey and Adam were really good to us. Very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The manager was also very kind to us. I will definitely come back here.

The service here was super slow and it wasn't busy. They messed up our orders and didn't stay on top of our drinks. The drinks are pretty here and the food was okay but not worth the wait.

I was in Duluth waiting out traffic and a quick Google search led me to Bahama Breeze happy hour! I felt the island atmosphere as soon as I walked in, the restaurant is huge, with a sizable patio that really brings the tropical vibes in the summertime. As we settled into our booth near the bar, we poured over the menu and decided on the skillet simmered jerk shrimp, crab and cheese dip, and crispy conch fritters. What's island time without libations? Bahamarita for me and an ultimate margarita for my date it is! All of the food was tasty, especially the crab and cheese dip. We enjoyed our drinks but be aware: they are more sweet than strong. The manager checked on us to make sure everything was smooth, we assured him that it was. Overall, it was a great experience and I would return.

Decided to give an old goodie a try. The food was just as good as I last visited. The live music is always an added plus. The outside sitting was great; it was a nice night with a perfect breeze. The serve in the other hand was not great. Or waitress started off with a great greeting and that was it. She kept forgetting things and took her time coming back or even to check on us. She was sitting with a chair pulled up at another table watching videos on the customers phone. All while we need her service. It was shocking to see.

It was not good at all to me. The restaurant is a beautiful space. The bathrooms need work and the food seems to need an overhaul. It was not hot just warm. The service was ok. If I hear they are refurbished with a better menu I will go back but otherwise no. It's sad because the ambiance could be fun.

Nice looking restaurant with unfortunately mediocre food and very subpar service. The menu is overpriced for the quality and portion of food given. Additionally, the service was pretty bad. We only saw the waitress for our initial drinks and food order. Luckily, each table has a tablet that allows you to call for the waiter. Otherwise, you wouldn't have seen them again.

Service is excellent and check out is made easy for a large group. Large parking lot and easy to access.

Spice It Up does not play! Everything I ordered was so good…read more The Oxtail Dinner and Curry Goat are my favorites. If you've tried different West Indian/Caribbean restaurants, you know that both of those dishes can go very wrong if they don't know what they're doing. The serving of oxtail wasn't stingy at all and they gave plenty of gravy. The Curry Goat plate was great. I usually eat curry with white rice, but this time I got it with rice and peas. Very glad I did, because it went together perfectly. Their Mac and cheese is good - not the best I've had but a solid side. The plantain was fried perfectly too. Spice It Up is a great option if you're looking for a Caribbean food fix and you can't get homemade.

I visited this restaurant today after my daughter recommended it. She had brought me food from here…read morebefore, and it was all right, so I decided to return and try the oxtail meal because my son had been asking for oxtails and I had not made them at home in a while. The location is not close to us, so we drove a considerable distance to get there. When we entered, a gentleman greeted us. Because the menu listed the oxtails at "market price," I asked him how much the meal cost, and he quoted one price. Shortly afterward, a woman came over and told me that was not the correct price and gave me a higher price. I honestly should have followed my first instinct and left, but my son was hungry and we had already made the drive, so we decided to place an order. The woman allowed us to sample some of the food, and based on the sauce, it seemed acceptable. However, I was surprised to learn that an oxtail meal costing more than $30 only included the meat, rice and peas, and one additional side. Any other side was an extra charge. Most Jamaican restaurants I have visited include rice, meat, and two sides, especially at that price point. The container was also quite small for the amount being charged. After adding a beef patty and a drink for my son, the total came to more than $40. Unfortunately, the taste and portion size did not justify the price. I have had much better oxtails from another nearby restaurant that provides a larger portion and two sides for a better value. What disappointed me most was the customer service. The woman's attitude and demeanor changed when I asked questions about the pricing, portions, and sides. As a paying customer, I should be able to ask reasonable questions without being made to feel rushed or as though I am causing a problem. My overall rating would be approximately 4 or 5 out of 10 for the food, 0 out of 10 for customer service, and 2 out of 10 for the atmosphere. I was truly hoping to find a good, authentic Jamaican restaurant for the days when I do not have time to prepare Jamaican food myself, but unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations.

Ovations Caribbean Grill has got a solid line up of menu items…read more We had the: - Jerk Chicken (with rice and peas [stew chicken cravy], cabage, and plantains) - Curry Chicken - Jerk Pork - Jerk Ribs - Oxtail Mac n cheese - Veggie Patty From top to bottom: The Jerk Chicken is tender. Make sure you get extra Jerk Sauce though! The seasoning is decent and there's a low level of spice to it. I recommend mixing it in with a bit of rice for a bite (maybe a bit of juice from the jerk ribs as well). The rice and peas are fine, but the stew chicken gravy is the star of the show. I'd get extra stew gravy on top next time I come. The cabbage is nothing to write home about, but its good fiber and doesn't clash with the other flavors of the plate. The plantain was fine as well, nice and sweet and best eaten when you first get your plate. The curry chicken is tasty! (Tender aswell) It almost falls apart in your mouth and has a decent moisture to it from the curry. Its good by itself, with the rice, or eaten with some coco bread. The jerk pork is fatty and has a good jerk seasoning flavor (not spicy at all). Its probably the most tender meat they have and its good even after being reheated a short time. The jerk ribs were my favorite! The ribs come off the bone easy and the sauce that comes on them is the best jerk sauce in the restaurant. I definitely recommend trying them if you like jerk or pork. (For a fuller, spicy note of flavor, get the hot jerk sauce to dip or pour on the ribs.) The Oxtail Mac N Cheese is okay, but its nothing too special. There's less cheese in the equation than a typical American Mac N Cheese, but the Oxtail is pretty good. Fatty, soft to chew, and almost buttery, I appreciate the influence, but I'd prefer a cheesier and saltier version of this dish. The Veggie Patty was great! I think the patties are homemade as I've never had such a good vegetable patty. I'd come back for the patties alone! The coco bread we got sat for a bit so it wasn't as soft, but I suspect thay was my fault. TLDR; I definitely recommend this restaurant! Its a 4 to 4.5/5 considering what Jamaican food in Georgia typically tastes like. We had leftovers that were good the next day! Get a jerk pork, a patty, some jerk Chicken, and make sure you get extra jerk sauce and extra gravy for your rice.

I remembered that one of my cousins had brought me here before for food, so I was expecting a decent experience. Unfortunately, today's visit was absolutely disappointing. I placed an order for oxtails, but they were out of mac & cheese, collard greens, and cabbage. The employee also mentioned they only had one dumpling left. What I don't understand is how a restaurant can be out of multiple sides that are supposed to come with the meal, yet still charge full price. The meal alone was $35. My son wanted additional items, so I still ordered food for him, but because the side options were so limited, I decided not to order anything for myself. In total, I ended up spending around $45, and the whole experience was just very disappointing. I really could've just bought the ingredients and made the meal myself, but I've been busy working in the house and handling a few projects, and before I realized it, the day had already gotten late. That's the main reason I decided to stop and buy food instead. Honestly, I guarantee I wouldn't have spent nearly as much making the meal myself as I ended up spending purchasing it there. To make matters worse, the employee serving us came across very nonchalant and unconcerned, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this is not a place I see myself visiting again anytime soon, if ever.
