Back in 2013, Bangart had to operate on my left ankle three times because he felt he knew better. He placed a metal screw in my ankle on 6/14. By 6/18 I was back in the operating room. I asked him to removed it, he didn't but placed it deeper. By 7/10 I was back in the operating room after getting out the hospital in Portland , Oregon, where I was vending my art. Dan Bangart and his son Keith Bangart ruined my small toes, not knowing how to perform very common surgery, then worse, they lied about it. My small toes of each foot are forever twisted, have remained stiff forever and worse yet are very painful. I am very upset everyday, it's been 4 years. Dr. Daniel Bangart says one thing and does another which is giving the patient mixed messages. He also told me my plan does not cover orthotics! Wrong info. His office manager, Shannon, refused to submit a claim to my insurance company after I found out my plan covers orthotics completely and they were almost $400.00 which I paid using my debit card- a difficult expense as a Senior on a fixed income. She kept making excuses as to why they're not covered which they are to this day. I told her I know my plan very well and they do cover them. At that point she stated, " You're talking down to me and I know my job and you're accusing me of fraud! " I never said that, could be her guilty conscience! She also accused me of being a "bully." At that point I calmly told her that there are much better ways of talking to patients. Bottom line: -I trusted this office and was a patient for several years. -They lied to me saying the orthotics were not covered by my insurance. -I was literally yelled at by office manager and called a "bully" because I asked her to submit the claim!! -She refused to submit it and I'm a senior citizen and was lied to and taken advantage of. -I will never go back and have notified my insurance company of their deceit. read more

The meaning of compassion: DR DAN BANGART as well as to recognize the suffering of others, then take action to help... Before I get into specifics, I want to explain that from start to finish it was a positive experience in every way....from the answering of my call, to be able to make an appointment the day I called. I comprehend a busy schedule BUT when you are in terrible pain whats the point of making an appointment for three weeks down the road?? They are staffed properly with a sufficient amount of qualified Dr.'s to assist when patients need to be seen when they have issues. I take the time to check and recheck every medical professional I see and normally speaking will interview my Dr.'s before I sign up to be their patient. In this case, I knew within the first five minutes that this was the office and that this Dr. for me. It was "different" from other offices. Different in the best sense of the word.... Dr. Bangart has compassion, is caring and is truly a warm individual and along with his excellent experience it is something that is not in my experience a "norm" here in Arizona, I hate to say. Initially, X-rays were taken, that I appreciated. Why wait till the Dr. comes in does an exam and then says oh, we need X-rays? In order for them to do a through job they have to have all the pieces of the puzzle and X-rays are essential. Dr. Bangart, explained everything to me in great detail about my feet in general, questioned me about my symptoms and went over options. He did NOT talk down to me but, engaged me in the conversation. By the way he handled my issues I could tell he has personalized treatment options, not 'one-size-fits-all' solutions which you'd be surprised how many Dr.'s practice that way. Dr. Bangart provided me with a range of options to choose from, I was waiting for the "sell about bunion and hammertoe surgery" and thankfully that didn't come...he addressed the issues as a good Dr. would have but, wasn't there to "break my pocketbook", but to do the job of a Dr. that genuinely cares about his patients. These are just some of the many qualities of the Dr. and why if you need an excellent podiatrist why YOU should see him or the other Docs in the practice. He started the practice and one hires Docs similar to the way they practice.....I know because I was a Personnel Director for over 20 years and was in Medical Sales. *He truly listened to what I had to say *He NEVER rushed me (it was a very difficult day for me as a year ago my son went through a medical nightmare and I was very emotional, and he sensed that and took extra care and time with me. *He even went that extra mile to have a radiologist review my X-rays because I was so anxious. *Board certified, and / or member of a professional association, is not just ok...but ESSENTIAL *Satisfied patients-quite obvious as the waiting room had repeat patients and I spoke with some of them and their impressions of the practice. *Bed side manner was calming and soothing, he WASNT an alarmist...which is exactly the kind of Dr. I need. His staff is by far the kindest group of professionals, truly, A+ in every way! I am thankful and blessed to have found Dr. Bangart. Again, if YOU are in need of not a good but THE BEST in his field.....Call the office NOW.....YOUR feet wont be sorry...and neither will you! read more

Finally a doctor who knows exactly what he is doing! I was diagnosed with plantar fasciiatis by an Orthopedic Surgeon in MN but typical treatment wasn't working. I had never gone to a Podiatrist but visited Dr Dan Bangart from a friend referral. He gently pressed on my heel and immediately determined it was NOT fasciiatis but an "entrapped nerve". After a few months of injections, finally I am pain free! So happy! I'm not sure that Ortho doctor even knew of this condition. I avoid walking on hard surfaces and wear good-cushioned shoes and the pain has not returned. read more

I love this doctor office. Although Dr Dan is my guy, I e had others help me on occasion. It is a places filled with compassion. I get shots in my foot pretty regularly and Dr Dan hits the mark every time. read more

If the lowest could be less than one star I would give that rating. Every morning I wake to feel and see the deformed toes given to me by this fraud. The hypocritical oath says 'do no harm'. It doesn't say give false diagnosis and unnecessary surgery to line your pockets. I complained about a painful callous that developed between my pinky toe and the adjacent toe. Instead of prescribing toe separators Dr. (so called) Bangart said I had hammer toe and cut the tendons in my three middle toes on both feet. I only hope something horrible happens to him. read more

I had a great experience with Dr. Bangart. The office was clean and well kept, and the front office staff and the nurses were all helpful and efficient. Dr. Bangart himself was very professional, knowledgeable and funny. Both Drs. father and son gave me ingrown toenails. then staff was uncooperative about my problem.
