Phoned during lunch and ordered 4 foods to-go 5 hours later. Our order was on a sticky note at the front counter and the lady said they forgot about our order. Since the restaurant was not busy, she said the wait will not be long. Instead of going to the kitchen and telling them to start the food, she insisted on us paying for the food first. Did she think we weren't going to pay for it when clearly, they were the ones who forgot? After we received our order and ate 10 minutes later, the food definitely tasted like it was done in a hurry and one of us had an upset stomach. Every time we came here, we have had not very good experiences with the server not coming to check on us and our food taking too long. We tried Dami 1 last time and it was a disaster. Been here 3x already and each time the food has been great. Naeng-myun is their specialty. It has a slightly sweeter profile but an extra splash of vinegar balanced it out for my taste buds. All soups are top top notch. Monk fish stew...both the spicy and clear broth are delicious. Spicy beef is a winner made with short rib. Bulgogi comes out on a sizzling plate and was very good. The mul nengmyun was so refreshing and I loved the kind of chewiness of the nengmyun noodles(in house made) with the broth that tasted so original and so flavorful. I was glad that I ordered the neng myun with LA galbi combo because the galbi blew my mind with the grilled flavor withsweet tenderness from the meat. My husband thought the bibim neng myun was about average which I had to agree. The service was prompt and friendly, but I do speak fluent korean so it may have facilitated that type of top notch service, lol. We had our Sunday family meal here. Number 11 is the Gondeure Hot Stone Bibimbab (special mountain herbs mixed rice with bulgogi topping). One of their more popular dishes. We also had Tteokboki with the dumplings. The dumplings were really crispy and tasty. Number 4 is the Galbi Tang ( beef short rib soup). Not greasy at all, that takes more time to make it that way. In my opinion, that is the best way. One of their other specialties are the cold noodles. Perfect for summer time. I had the number 21, Bibim Naeng Myun (spicy chilled noodles). Don't forget to add the vinegar and mustard. Very refreshing. Then of course we had to have a typical Korean dish, the number 9A. Tofu soup and grilled pork ribs. The ribs were ok, so was the soup. We've been here three times and every single time they are very unfriendly and this last time we came here it was at 4pm so we weren't very hungry, just wanted something to tie us over until our late dinner, there were only two other tables of people so it wasn't like it was super busy or crowded. We wanted to just share a combo but the waiter wasn't happy about it and ended up skimping us on the side dishes and the broth that came with it. First time visit. Ordered Kimchi pork ribs and bibim nangmyun. Man...I can tell it was the best nangmyun in Dallas area at least for me. We ate almost all while we were waiting for the main dish Kimchi pork ribs. The Kimchi pork ribs was also good! The portion was between 2 to 3 servings. Was a rainy chilly day so it was perfect!! This Korean place was packed when we came Sunday. We came as soon as it opened and their famous beef rib stew is already out. So I had to order other stuff. The pork bulgogi was really tasty but the serving is small. We also ordered the spicy cold noodles. I had korean food in the best places around the world including korea and los angeles but I must say that this place ranks among the top. All the dishes tasted excellent and was full of flavor. I signed on to Yelp just to give this place a very bad review. We went here before and food was OK. Not great but OK. One day after a long flight, we decided to come here to eat. We got to the place at 9pm and the door and Yelp says it's open until 10. They told us the kitchen is closed. How can you close a kitchen 1 hour before your closing time. It's ridiculous. Most authenitc cold noodle soup(neangmyun) I had in the US. The noodle texture just like good neighborhood neangmyun place in Korea. You don't order cold noodle with soup or spicy sauce for meat...Sliced thin meat is quite traditional form added on the top of the noodle.
