We stopped by Daltile while shopping for for small areas to tile around our fireplace and bath tub. So I can't give a lot of feedback. There are a lot of samples on display in their small show room. Not sure how big their warehouse is. What I can say is the service for what we were looking for was great. The woman who helped us was super friendly, very knowledgeable and offered good suggestions. You can take tile samples home with you, based on the honor system (free). The tile we did end up ordering was in stock and fairly priced. We only discovered there was a Daltile in our area after we purchased floor tile (the big job) from Lowes. While I'm happy with the floor tile we went with, I think the Daltile staff would have been a great resource for ideas and advice. read more

Now I understand why when reading reviews online contractors complain about getting tile from big box stores and say they recommend clients get their tile from mom and pop shops or stores like Daltile. I wasn't sure how the experience was going to be but Teresa helped me and ended being so nice. I thought they closed on 5pm and came around 3:30pm. She didn't rush me at all. She even stayed past their closing time of 4pm to finish helping me. She went out of her way to see what was stock so that I wouldn't have to wait too long if I decided to go with a particular tile. Shoutout to Teresa. They also do work off the honor system and let you take samples home with you if they have it in store. If they don't, they will order the samples and it takes a few days to deliver to your house. I can see why contractors would send their clients here. There's a more personal touch and kind of ease to finding the right tile for your home. I am pleasantly surprised and impressed by the service and also the selection they have. I am replacing my entire downstairs flooring due to water damage. I had bamboo hardwood flooring which i honestly would never get again due to it being so high maintenance. We didn't want to risk having issues with moisture or and buckling. So we are redoing our entire downstairs in tile. Since I do still have the bamboo hardwood on the stairs and upstairs. I was looking for a stone looking tile but not one that looked like the concrete under my flooring. I couldn't find anything I liked at Lowe's, Home Depot or floor and decor and decided to give this place a try. I'm so glad I did. Teresa even printed me a quote and I was surprised that some of the tile was pretty affordable and competitively priced. I wished I would've known about this place before my bathroom remodel. Went to a big chain home improvement store to get some quarry tiles and they said it will take a week. Did a simple yelp search and found Daltile located very close to where I was. I was thinking this Daltile might've been just for contractors, but they also sell to the public. I was immediately greeted by Heidee and she was very helpful in finding the right tile. The gentleman bringing out the tiles from the warehouse also loaded them into my car and was friendly. On my second trip to pick up some more quarry tiles, again Heidee was there to assist and was again very friendly and helpful. She got me in and out, I really couldn't have asked for better service. Inventory is key to a successful business. Well I could not find a basic most popular tile anywhere unless I waited two weeks. I went to Daltile because my tile setter suggested it as a resource. I was helped by Heidi, who is outstanding by the way, and got my tile and grout and it was less expensive than any of the big brand home improvement stores. Wife and I decided to give kitchen a makeover. Backsplash, flooring and of course (cringe), countertops. We put it off long as possible on account of the last one. Our granite countertops dated and dictated the entire kitchens vibe. We new the c-tops would be the largest bullet to bite but seemingly nothing else would update the room. We could not have been more WRONG! Our first step was to go to a store that has spent a fortune telling us "We could do it", AND,, "They can help!" We went to that store 3X before we actually spoke to someone in the department. The first 2 visits their customer service said they would call someone over right away. When this did not happen we just started gathering tiles and went to check out. We had just shy of $100. in samples alone. The 3rd visit we waited in line to return many samples and the return went well, but the wait was ridiculous. The experience at the 2nd H improve store was eerily similar, however we did have the friendliest sales person we could have asked for. She was outgoing and eager to help. The issue was then she was just filling in for someone and her true department was electrical. I absolutely guarantee we will be back to see her when we do the lighting because she searched right along with us. Here is the TA, DAAH moment of what was killing our schedule and bearing just short of nothing we felt good about enough to begin. Someone suggested Daltile off of Winchester ,,,, DALTILE ! DALTILE!!! We went on a Saturday morning we opened the door and a woman named Heidi who was with a customer told us she would be right with us. My wife looked at me the same time I looked at my wife. We both just smiled at each other. We browsed for no way more than 2 minutes and, ANOTHER woman approaches to ask how we were doing and even OFFERS TO HELP. We now meet this woman named Ivy and I swear we were as happy as if we hit the lottery. Those gals looked at a small piece of our counter top and it was game on. They pulled tile sample from everywhere (they even stood on chair, no kidding, to pull a display thingy of the the wall. Those people went back and forth not just gathering tile samples but explaining how each sample tile affected our existing counter top piece. After 40 min it was time to leave so I figured we'd pay for the mountain of samples. We had some really nice stuff, we also knew what and how to put it together,,,but hey! Most important we were excited again! I can't emphasize enough what that wa s like. We left with 2X at least what we had gotten from other places and I did not care. Read this part carefully,, the cost of taking all that tile home was ZERO! Not even for the display they crawled up on a chair to take off the wall! Not a nickel. When I tried to offer something ,anything, the response was they did not want us to have to do this again in 6 months because we weren't happy. We ended up being so happy with the backsplash tile we even decided to NOT change counter top and we saved THOUSANDS. Heidi and Iva thank you for all the time you spent and the $$ you saved us. Prices were very competitive. Ordered too many tile because of math errors during three changes but Mike accepted returns without hesitation, refunding the full purchase price. Excellent service that went above and beyond my expectations. I had looked for tile at the two large DIY stores in town, and I needed some design help. However, I was not able to get the help I needed at those stores and the tile prices were very high. It was suggested to go directly to Daltile and I'm so glad I did. I want to give a shout out to Mike, David, Heidi, Iva and Jacob, they are an amazing team. They found me the perfect tile and helped me with ideas for accent and trim tiles. They ordered the tiles and everything arrived in the store on time. The quality and the value of the tiles is exactly what I was looking for. I know I saved so much more by shopping at Daltile. I will not hesitate to return when I need tiles again. My bathroom is looking amazing and I haven't even grouted it yet, but thought I'd add a photo of the gorgeous tile. They have no customer service, and can't seem to ever remember you, your order or the price that they quoted you! OMG no apology too. Terrible customer service. Would not do business with again. First time had to wait forever and the salesperson didn't seem to care and had absolutely no urgency to help any customers. We didn't complain, say anything and just left. Later on, we had an issue with tiles (tiles didn't match) from another place and went here to inquire about tiles the second time and we got a quote and left. Our contractor went to go and pick up corner rounds a few days later and the salesperson was talking crap about us.....to our contractor! And what's funny is they were talking (it was a guy who our contractor spoke to and we only spoke to a woman) about someone else because the story didn't reflect our experience at all.
