I feel incredibly lucky to have found Amy. My two dogs are special and quirky - as in emotional and shy and don't take to strangers easily. Within ten minutes my Ranger was giving her kisses! I was sold. Amy has a very calm presence and that came through to me and obviously to the dogs. After providing her with a lengthy set of instructions for just visiting them mid-day for potty breaks, she didn't freak out or think I was weird. She was more than willing to do whatever I did so that the pups would keep their routine. In addition to sending me either a text or email after every visit, she also left me a "report card" with how the dogs did and reacted to her which was a nice treat. I like the attention to detail and extra information. It was just like I was there! As a bonus to the report card, Amy also left a couple of homemade treats for the dogs AND a dozen eggs from her own chickens! It's just so comforting to know I can trust and rely on someone to handle things in my absence. I didn't worry for one minute which is an amazing gift for me when I'm away from home. I've already schedule another week with her and have her booked for a long weekend with overnight stays - another nice bonus - no kennels! Amy's prices are reasonable, she is very professional and dependable - you can't go wrong!

I selected EQ Pet Travel to transport my two older dogs across country. Jani did a fantastic job,…read morethe dogs immediately took to her and although my bulldog is a brachycephalic breed, I knew he'd be looked after, since she has experience with those breeds. She took lots of pictures of the dogs during the trip and hubbs was always asking if she sent any new ones. They look so happy and well cared for. I would definitely hire this company again!

As we move to expand the business, it is friends and family who help make that happen. The extra steps we take to ensure a safe and comfortable ground transport include soft comfortable bedding (not shavings or newspaper), potty and exercise breaks every four hours, safe and roomy crates, water available at all times, “paws off the ground” potty breaks for puppies, climate controlled vehicles with special attention given to brachy breeds including cool crate pads, fans, and spray bottles in hot weather. Update- STAY AWAY!…read more The owner keeps commenting/editing their comments in regards to my post. You would think someone running a company that is transporting the animals you LOVE across the country would have bigger concerns than continuing to alter her response on yelp all day, right? Her responses to this review went from bitter, to angry, to condescending, to flat out lying. Wow, haha how low people will go. Are these the people you want dealing with your pets? This is my experience with the company and based on that I would NEVER recommend them. I would suggest looking elsewhere when you are trying to move your pet to a new state, or just do it yourself. In my case it would have been better and I never would have had to deal with any of the previous owners or the new ones. My dog almost died with Pets on Board. the previous owner was a crook, she kept promising me a refund over and over again but not after having to fight her for it. She sold the company shortly after my failed transport and guess what?? Never got a dime from her! During our conversation on the phone the new owner told me they still use the previous owner for help with the company. There's a red flag for you!! The old owner was a crook when I dealt with her, so you should probably stay away from anyone getting advice from a person like that! My original post is below. ----------------- I had dealt with Pets on Board back in July. I had paid them 1,157 dollars to move my dog from NH to CA. 2 days into the trip my dog ended up having problems breathing and was left at a vet in South Carolina. Basically my dog was getting so worked up and stressed out his throat was closing. I was called by the owner at the time Patty, who immediately blamed me for this situation. If the 17 hour drive wasn't already stressful enough, this woman was the icing on the cake. After listening to her rant I told her I wanted a refund for the failed transport. Eventually she agreed. Months went by emails and returned calls eventually stopped from this company. Until recently when I emailed them last month. I had told them I had never received my refund, and I was unhappy and felt betrayed by trusting them. Shortly after I posted a review on here, the new business owners started to call me. They told me that if I removed my review from yelp they would help me get my refund, which they agreed that I deserved. So I did, then their solution was to have me talk to the previous owner. They ignored all responsibility their company had even though they had records of my failed transport, and acknowledged I deserve a refund. Today they told me my complaint was invalid. Invalid? My dog was dropped off 17 hours away from me because he was having problems breathing. So my dogs life risking transport to them was invalid and my loss of money was invalid?? They couldn't care less about my issues with their company. They do a lot of talking, and they will give you a good run around, but new owners seem the same as the old. In the end it's same company, not worth risking your money or your pets health with them in my opinion

The driver went out of his way to contact me and give me updates on my dog. He also brought my dog to me in 3 days. Which is pretty good considering the Air Force allotted me 7 travel days to get here from my previous location. These guys are awesome and professional. My dog is in great condition and I'm happy to have my family reunited. Update: It's been over a week since my dog has been home and he's still in great shape! Obviously the move went really well for him!
