Having to put a beloved pet down is never easy, but Tranquil Passing made it just a little bit better for me. I believe the vet who helped me was named Megan. She was AMAZING. She was incredibly kind, gentle, compassionate, and patient. She explained the process to me in detail and allowed the process to go at my pace. She also made clay paw prints and helped me to get some stamp paw prints as well! My baby, Nala, was most comfortable on my bed so that is where I wanted her to go. I was worried the vet would not allow this. But Megan and I sat on my bed with Nala and my other baby Miss Bugs. Megan even helped to comfort Bugs (and Nala of course) throughout the process. I'm not sure I can adequately put into words how Dr. Lacey's care and compassion helped us through this difficult time. Our dog Abby was in an incredible amount of pain and once we tried everything we could medically we knew we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Dr. Lacey arrived at our house and talked us through the process, she welcomed our other dog to be there as well and gave them both treats. Being there for the euthanasia has helped our other dog deal with the loss of his best friend. She first gave Abby an injection that relieved her pain so that she was relaxed and comfortable but still awake while we said our goodbyes; Dr. Lacey was kind and so patient and gave us all the time we needed. The euthanasia itself was very peaceful and though we are so sad that it had to be done we couldn't have asked for a more compassionate caregiver. At a time of tremendous emotional sadness, Tranquil Passing steps in to compassionately help with the passing of a beloved pet. My well-loved 16 year old cat had a stroke overnight, paralyzing him, and I knew what had to be done. I called Tranquil Passing, tearfully asking for help and, despite having no time available on their schedule, they worked us in. Two hours later, their wonderfully kind vet was at our door to put my suffering kitty down while I held him in my arms. It was gently and kindly done. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her again. Another staff member then took over. He wrapped my Oliver gently in a blanket and took him away to their facility for aquamation so his ashes could be returned to me. Two weeks later, I picked up a lovely wooden box with his name carved into the lid that contained his ashes, a clipping of his hair, a medallion with his name imprinted on it, and a paw impression in clay, all to remember him by.
