This was the very best solution for our very large aging pet. Made the appointment, communication was great and was kept updated by text. Dr. Lacey was so compassionate and kind during the entire process and helped us transition our sweet 16 year old boy to a peaceful rest. He always wanted to be outside and Dr. Lacey was really good at allowing it to take place outside, in the grass on a blanket. Thank you for your Grace during our time of mourning.

Our Sally was barely hanging on and it was time to say goodbye. All the folks at Tranquil Passing were very understanding, compassionate, and helpful with the details. In our home on her bed we held her paws as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We highly recommend their service.

We have hosted the kind folks at Tranquil Passing three times now and I will probably never use another service. They charge less than the vet, but allow you and your pet to be comfortable in your own home. They will not rush the process and carefully explain every step. The two vets I've had were beyond what I expected. They will treat your animal as if they were their own, gently and with the utmost care, and I cannot more highly recommended them. If you want to take your time and be with your baby as they cross the bridge, these are your people.

I'm not sure I can adequately put into words how Dr. Lacey's care and compassion helped us through this difficult time. Our dog Abby was in an incredible amount of pain and once we tried everything we could medically we knew we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Dr. Lacey arrived at our house and talked us through the process, she welcomed our other dog to be there as well and gave them both treats. Being there for the euthanasia has helped our other dog deal with the loss of his best friend. She first gave Abby an injection that relieved her pain so that she was relaxed and comfortable but still awake while we said our goodbyes; Dr. Lacey was kind and so patient and gave us all the time we needed. The euthanasia itself was very peaceful and though we are so sad that it had to be done we couldn't have asked for a more compassionate caregiver. Our sweet dog was surrounded by her people and her companion dog while she peacefully slipped away.

Dr. Lacey was fantastic. Do you and your loved one a favor, and use her services. Rest in paradise scooby doo.

What a wonderful service! Our kitty was able to avoid a final car trip and the anxiety that the vet office always gave her.

Lacey's compassionate care, we felt completely cared about and did nothing but love our dog through her last days.

But the biggest reason I felt compelled to write this review was that a very loud and determined woman was in the room next to mine trying very hard to get her cognitively impaired sister's cat put down. It was a really tricky issue with a whole lot going on, and I thought the vet handled it exceptionally well. He made room for whatever was going on w her but never stopped advocating for the poor kitty to be rehomed instead. There are just so many ways an interaction like that could have gone off the rails. He handled it really well.

I took my dog to Five Mile Vet Clinic for a cyst on her tail. After it was accidentally nicked at…read morethe groomer, she started chewing on it, so the vet recommended tail docking. We were given antibiotics and scheduled surgery for December 2024. Getting an estimate was difficult--I had to follow up multiple times. When I finally received it, the estimated cost ranged from $767.94 to $933.23. By surgery day, the estimate had increased to $962-$1,130 with no clear explanation. After surgery, the final bill was $873.91, but the procedure description had changed from "Tail Dock" ($214.50) to "Tail Amputation" ($363.60). When I asked about the discrepancy, staff became defensive and insisted it was within the estimate range. The vet later admitted mistakes were made but said he would adjust the invoice only if he could add surgery time to make up the cost. Additionally, I was never told to change my dog's bandage after surgery, which led to an infection and a $750 emergency vet visit. While the clinic did provide follow-ups at no charge, I was frustrated by the lack of clear communication and pricing inconsistencies. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this clinic. Make sure to question clinics like this. They are a for profit, maximizing profit over true care for your animal in my opinion.

As another reviewer said, the staff truly cares about you and your cat. They're extremely helpful and kind. Not to mention, they're incredibly affordable. I used to go to the VCA for their extended hours of operation. Their prices were ridiculous and going there always felt sterile and cold. You never got the hands on, one-on-one, personal experience that you'll get at the Cat's Meow. They have an in-house kitty who has 3 legs. They told me he was found on the street after a bad attack by another animal, and they took him in and nursed him back to health, which involved his amputation. He's been there ever since. That speaks volumes to the kind of people who work here: true cat people.

Every time she had an issue, they charged me hundreds of dollars, shrugged, and said she'd probs be fine. Well, when she injured her paw, that was true, though I'm not sure why I had to pay $600 for that "diagnosis." But when my 8yo cat who'd never had so much as a hairball in her life suddenly started throwing up regularly, no, it wasn't just what cats do as they get older. I had to discover for myself she's allergic to chicken and our water was contaminated. The last straw was when she got fleas for the first time in her life. We did everything, but couldn't get rid of them on our own. So I called the vet who said she had to come in before they could prescribe her something, and they couldn't see her for a month. If we'd have waited a month, we'd both have been dead from blood loss. So I got her in to another vet three days later, and now we're happy clams. Wish we'd switched sooner.
