I took my cat in for a lump and was reassured that it was nothing of a huge concern, though it was a quick assessment, they answered all questions related and unrelated to ease my mind. They were super sweet and very calm with him, and he was definitely enjoying the attention they were giving. They made sure to give an estimate of what the visit could cost for certain things, and were very open with skipping things and possibly planning for a different date for the skipped parts, just to make sure he got the best care possible from them. He isn't big on people, but he didn't have a dislike towards them and wasn't scared when entering the office. They allowed the curiosity and didn't try to restrict him to a table outside of the exam, and didn't try to force him into the crate. Definitely enjoyed how helpful they were and how open minded they were to everything. Even though they misinterpreted a couple things I had said, and encouraged things I knew to be unnecessary at the time, they were helpful with the problem at hand. read more

Overall we have been pretty happy with the care we've received for our large dog at this clinic. She's always happy to walk through the door, it's always clean, and the staff are caring and kind. They could benefit from a more structured system to remind patients when they're due for standard follow up for things like shots, teeth cleaning, etc. We used to go to VCA and appreciated their postcard reminders they would send via mail for pets. I've called a few times with questions that couldn't be answered immediately and they have always called back quickly to follow up with answers which is much appreciated. read more

We are previous customers. Had to have our puppy put down last year. Got a new puppy and as I explained to the receptionist, we have 72 hours to get her a health check; due to seller contract. After explaining we were previous customers and that we would prefer not to find another vet as we like Regal, the receptionist repeated soonest appointment would be in 5 days. She did not offer to have the doctor call us to see if she could be squeezed in for a quick health check and set up future appointments for her shots. Reminds me of the commercial - "Please leave the store, we don't want your business. I had to request a call back from the doctor as it was not suggested in Leu of our situation. I will be happy to update this review if the doctor does indeed call us back and helps us in a timely manor. Disappointed that the CARE of previous customers with a much needed request was handled over the phone, frankly with a cold response . Pat Jones Update - the doctor called back 6 hours later and claimed we had requested a Friday appointment and that her receptionist had mis-understood my request. There is No way she could have mis-understood when I asked for an appointment explaining 3 times and giving the reason 3 times for an appointment within 72 hours. 15 years with Regal and the doctor choose to stand behind her help rather than her loyal customer. We have moved onto another Vet. read more

We had a whippet/lab mix that Dr Dull saw for quite a while before we had to put her down. Dr Dull could not have been more compassionate during this time. She is a vet that not only has the credentials but also the experience that you would want your vet to have. It's been a while since putting our last dog down and finally time to get a new addition to the family. No other place we'd rather bring her than here. Which we did. We look forward to Minka be well cared for by Dr Dull and the staff at this clinic. read more

Zero stars if possible! They scheduled me an appointment for my sick cat then said I didn't have one when I took him in. I had to give them my phone to show proof that my cat in fact had an appointment. They did not honor an appointment that the manager made. They then said they would see him but I'd be charged more! Very unprofessional. Don't waste your time with this place. Nobody can own up to their mistakes. read more

Posted this on Facebook, but it needs to be here, too: I cannot sing their praises enough!!! They take the time to answer my NUMEROUS questions by phone or email. They don't jump to "bring him in" immediately just to make a buck. Doctor called herself to walk a terrified dog mom through neuter precautions. The staff all know Frankie and are always excited to see him. Very, very compassionate staff. Prices are also very reasonable! Update since Facebook post: dumb dumb ate a leg off a plush toy. They were able to get him in within the hour on a Saturday, got it up, and saved Frankie's life (without surgery). Whole traumatic incident was about an hour from ingesting to driving home. The doctor called herself next day to check on him. I was unable to answer, so they sent an email checking on him. Such involved and caring staff!!! read more

I've gone to this clinic twice now with high expectations, and both times the level of care was better than I expected. The doctors are thorough with their exams and present pretty comprehensive options with transparent costs so pet parents can make the best decisions for their pets. Unfortunately, the covid 19 check out procedure isn't really well communicated. When your pet is ready to be checked out, it's up to you as the owner to call the clinic and check out over the phone. However, the doctor communicated to me that my pet would be brought out shortly. Because I expected to get him first, he was in the clinic and I in my car for over an hour unnecessarily. The receptionist apologized for this but I wish it had been made very clear to me that I needed to call them first in order to retrieve my pet and bill. I highly suggest this is written on the website or communicated as soon as people get into the clinic, rather than at the end. It wasn't necessarily pleasant sitting in a car in 90ﾟ weather for an hour. But I'm happy that my pet is hopefully feeling better and I'm satisfied with the care he received. read more

Wow! I don't even know where to begin with this wonderful place! Like any other parent of a fur baby, I had anxiety of taking her to the Vet. Jemima needed to be updated on her shots, get her nails trimmed and was suffering from an ear infection. We needed to get her in on a Saturday and when we called they were able to make time for my Jemima! She is a larger dog and has anxiety around other animals and so she needed to stay in the car until her appointment. When they were ready for her, they came out and got us, WITHOUT acting like it was an inconvenience they had to come get us outside (we all know how people get when they have to do a little extra work at times.) When we got in we saw Dr. Vagt. Wow!!! You can tell he has a passion for animals and he treated her so well. Jemima had severe anxiety and when the doctor first came in the room she froze and would not move. With Dr. Vagt's bed-side manner, Jemima finally released all the muscles in her body and started acting like the happy-go-lucky puppy (she is 7 yrs old) she is at home! I would recommend this place to EVERYONE!!!! The reception staff is friendly and wonderful and you can tell everyone in the building has a passion for animals! Another bonus, their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable!!! Needless to say, my fur-daughter Jemima has found her new primary care doctor! Thank you so much Regal Veterinary Clinic! You will be seeing Jemima again!!! Update: The medicine the doctor prescribed Jemima for her ear infection worked and her ears look and smell amazing!!! read more

We have been bringing our puppy Owen here the last few months and they always go above and beyond with care. When he was sick they would call first thing in the morning and ask how he did overnight. Dr. Prendiville is compassionate and thorough. My dog feels a lot better already from her ear treatment and eye drops. The girl up front was very nice as well as the girl who was working in the back. Thank You all for the excellent care of my pup. read more

Would not recommend. My pup was a regular patient for a couple of years. She fell ill so we called to get an appointment. They were book for a week. We called the next day letting them know she was worse and we really needed to see the doc. Nogo. We took the soonest available appointment. The forth night she died. We were told she had fluid in her lungs that could have been address. She's gone, don't let this happen to your baby. I'm too depressed to get angry. You only treated my doggy 2 times. But you were so careful with her and understanding of her anxiety to be away from me. Both Dr. Katie and Dr. Melinda are very nice and gentle with the animals. I have a mini daschund and he HATES the vet and makes every effort to jump off the table, snip at techs, and run out the front door. The vets & techs both took the time to calm him and introduce themselves before they started their exams. While there are cheaper vets out there I believe you get what you pay for. At Regal Veterinary Clinic you can rest assured that your furry family member will be treated with TLC. I'll pay $10 more for that. read more

Took my cats in today. I made it very clear I only had a certain amount I could spend today until I get paid again. I am terrible with names so I apologize for that but the lady that took notes and checked over them was absolutely awesome! She was also keeping track of the expense so we wouldn't go over my budget which was so sweet of her to do. She was so sweet to my cats. Ive never seen them so calm at the vet. Dr Katie was also wonderful, she listened to my concerns and gave me excellent advise going forward with ny cats sniffer. I highly recommend them. Leaving this review doesn't change our sitiuation but I think it will be helpful for the next person. This office charged us $700 to clean our dog's teeth and then referred us to a dental oral surgeon recommending that all but 5 teeth be extracted (this ended up costing us $4,000). The right thing would have been to abstain from the $700 dental cleaning knowing the teeth were going to be taken out regardless. Very disappointing. read more

I have used this clinic many times and have been happy. What a disappoint when I called trying to get help for a sick kitten. The person I talked to said the next appt was at the end of the month and that I should just go to pet emergency. What was frustrating was the attitude that she didn't care at all...I would at least hope for some effort to be made to help. Maybe a let me see if there are any other options..I am not an unreasonable person and was left in awe of her lack of willingness to help a customer in need. This is apparently only a place you can take your pet if you have a month to wait. If you are contemplating using this clinic I would advise finding one that will help you if your pet has an emergency and this is not the place. read more

I have to say that Regal Veterinary Clinic is totally top notch in every way. I read their reviews and after a rough appointment with with my current vet I changed vets. Edited 2/20/19: Summary: Regal VeterinaryClinic gave me a drug known to cause bloody diarrhea but failed to disclose that risk to me, and then failed again to mention it as a possible cause when my dog experienced exactly that symptom after using it. Below are the details. 1. My dog has been having cognitive decline and on Saturday my regular vet at VCA said he probably has senility or maybe Cushings. One of his symptoms is insomnia and he whines and causes disruption all night. We had managed it with discipline before but learning he had dementia made us feel guilty punishing him for something beyond his control. So Saturday night we found his whining unbearable and decided to inquire about anxiety or sleep medication on Sunday, but VCA is closed on Sundays, so we decided to go to any vet that was open since we couldn't imagine another night of his behavioral issues. So on Sunday (2/17/19) we made the mistake of going to Regal Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Gentry prescribed my dog Carprofen for pain and Acepromazine to help him sleep. I asked if there were any risks or side effects I should know about, Dr. Gentry and the Tech both assured me that both drugs were very safe and had no side effects. This sounds absurd in retrospect but my husband was there and can confirm this happened. Dr. Gentry also recommended giving our dog treats every time he relieves himself outside to retrain him, since the senility has made him forget potty training. All seemed well and good and we returned home feeling confident we'd found a perfect system for our dog. Monday he seemed groggy and had trouble walking, I called the vet and they said to try Acepromazine without the Carprofen. 2. Tuesday(2/19/19) morning our dog had a lot of uncontrollable diarrhea. By mid-morning the diarrhea was accompanied by blood. Very worried for his health I went back to Regal Veterinary Clinic because they had seen him last. I saw Dr. Shockley who ran a blood test and told me she believed the symptoms were most likely a result of feeding him treats. I asked if it could possibly be the medications that Gentry had prescribed on Sunday and they assured me it was not. I believed them too because I know my dog has a sensitive stomach and because the doctors told me the medications had no side effects. She then prescribed me more medications for his new symptoms and told me to wait until his diarrhea cleared up before giving him acepromazine again but also assured me it was not caused by the acepromazine. Tuesday afternoon I started to get upset, as I realized my poor old dog had had only mild cognitive issues, insomnia and potty training issues BEFORE I'd gone to Regal, and now after following their regimen, he had serious digestive issues and bloody diarrhea and was clearly suffering. Even IF Dr. Shockley had been correct, it was still their fault since I only gave him treats because I was following Dr. Gentry's orders. And isn't that what you're supposed to do? Follow the doctor's orders? That's when I called the manager of Regal- who told me that since the advice to give him treats wasn't in the chart it didn't happen. She didn't even try to ask Dr. Gentry about it. When I contacted my regular vet to get her opinion, she informed me that bloody diarrhea is a well known risk of Acepromazine. If I had been properly informed of the risks, I would NOT have given Acepromazine to my aging and fragile dog. If I had followed Dr. Shockley's recommendation and given him more Acepromazine once his symptoms cleared up, the bloody diarrhea would have started all over again. At the very least they should refund me for the cost of treatment on Tuesday since they caused the problem they were treating by giving me false information about drug safety. That wouldn't even include the cost of cleaning my carpet (frequent bloody diarrhea is much harder to clean than occasional solid stools) or the hours I spent caring for and cleaning after my now very ill dog. And I can't begin to put a price on the suffering my poor old dog and my family has experienced over this. read more

They started off great, but issues became apparent. My elder dog has been having breathing issues. After tests, biopsy, ultrasound etc and stressing him out entirely they concluded they were clueless. So let's try some antibiotics. Well they did help. Six weeks after his last dose, he started lightly having symptoms again. I call pharmacy on Wednesday, they'll check with vet and have it ready Saturday. I go in and the pharmacy attempts to even get a response out of these so called professionals went unanswered. I make a call the the vet and what do you know, he's in. No they can't refill the prescription without seeing my pet again. For starters thanks for relaying that during the week and second off, see him why? You had no idea what his issue is before but you want to put more unneeded stress on him? Awesome! Well we want to see if he's losing weight, no he's not, well, we don't believe you, awesome again. I hope the owners of this establishment start looking closer at how their vets handle customers. Here's a picture of my sweet old boy just trying to live peacefully, look at all the weight he's lost ‍ read more

I recently moved to Spokane from Florida and was worried about finding a new vet. After just two visits, I feel I received more information and answers to my dog's recurring skin & ear infections than I have in the 13 years I've had her. Been trying to get an appointment for my dog with potentially a tick on his head for days called this place three times. 1st time got put on hold then hung up on. 2nd time i was told to call at 10am to schedule a same day appointment. 3rd time today at 10:00AM a very rude female picked up the phone and told me I was wrong and continued to talk over me then told me to call at 7:30AM the next day and maybe they would squeeze me in. They are absolutely awful! Awful people awful service. Awful place to take your fur baby. They abused my puppy and cut her open for no reason for a exploratory surgery and found nothing wrong. They told us if we did not get her the surgery she would die that night and made us sing our right of being an owner to them because they wanted to charge over 4 grand. They also kept her overnight and while she was there she lost 2-3 pounds and when we took her in she weighed 9 1/2 pounds. Please don't ever take you for babies there. read more

They misdiagnosed my cat 3 separate times and convinced me she needed a $675 dollar surgery. During the surgery they discovered their diagnosis was completely wrong but finished the procedure anyways and still charged even more than what was quoted. It was a tumor, they claimed it was only an abscess and, after 3 expensive appointments where they packed her full of antibiotics and examined it each time, they told me by removing her teeth and draining the mass she would be fine. I was grieving and wanted to believe them. They were so confident though my gut told me it had to be a tumor by the size and rate it was growing. They were certain it was just an abscess even after examining her 4 times before surgery. They performed the surgery. Once they discovered it truly was a tumor, which I had suspected all along, they still removed her teeth and took the liberty of cutting out some of the tumor without permission and then charging me nearly $700. When I spoke to the manager, they had the nerve to offer me a discount on Euthanasia if I wanted to put her down, but offered no apology or recognition on their malpractice. I felt lied to and intentionally taken advantage of for money. They knew if it was cancer I would've just made her comfortable but by telling me it was only an abscess they were able to get over $1,000 out of me all together. The manager was cold and severe and offered nothing but a discount on Euthanasia, not even a genuine apology. My cat died 3 days later in terrible pain at a different clinic. The tumor so large her eye was falling out. I feel so naive for wanting to believe them. They didn't even sample the growth before telling me the surgery was necessary. I hindsight I feel so dumb for falling for their scam for money, and my cat suffered from it. They will use your sadness against you. read more

I am very pleased to have discovered Regal Veterinary Clinic. I was with another vet for several years, and had become extremely displeased with their high prices, constant sales pitches, and wait times (which can be downright miserable if you have a dog who is a nervous type). Dr. Katie at Regal Vet did a dental cleaning for my dog, and she did it for less than half the price that my former vet quoted me. She was prompt, pleasant, and she had a way with animals -- my dog seemed quite comfortable with her, which never happened at my old vet. The rest of the staff was great too.
