This was the place to be when I was in college about 15 years ago, and I was so excited that it was close to the hotel I stayed at when I came back for work. I went and had dinner with one of my best girlfriends, and we had a great time. The restaurant is huge plenty of seating. I got the sirloin and she got the bigger ribeye, and the food came out pretty quickly. I think I ate two baskets of bread by myself! My steak was tender and juicy, and perfectly cooked. The beans and potato were incredible as well. Can't say enough good things about this place, the mosquito taste of the meat is delicious. Our server was great!

I've eaten a lot of great steaks and great ribs in my 70 years. The beef filet and the babyback ribs we had last night were without a doubt the best I've ever eaten. In fact every side item was very delicious including the salad, beans, salsa, and baked potato. The big 9 oz filet and sides would have been a generously large meal but I had to get a half rack of ribs as dessert. Both the filet and the ribs were so tender they dissolved in our mouths. Don't let the menu prices scare you away. Meat and sides this good are worth every penny. Service was great! Loved the atmosphere seeing the meats prepared on the big pit out front and every inch of the walls covered in $ bills.

Came here because we heard fantastic things about the wings, and they did not disappoint! Highlight of the meal. The ribeye I had was just okay. I love a casual steakhouse, but it's hard to beat a Texas Roadhouse, imo. Service was friendly, but they were definitely short staffed. We had to wait a while for a table despite seeing open ones from the window. I'll be back for wings and wings alone

Went for some steaks but found out that there are no vegetable sides at all. Yes, you can get a house salad but that's all. We decided to leave after our margaritas due to no vegetable sides. The margarita was decent but nothing to rave about. Though the interior was kinda cool with all the dollar bills.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night with reservations, so the wait for our table was short while they prepared it. I wasn't a fan of their house margarita, and the raspberry margarita with Hornitos was just okay. We both ordered filet mignon, each at different temperatures, and both were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the steaks lacked seasoning and tasted very plain. The side salad it came with was simple but enjoyable, and their ranch dressing was really good. I also liked the baked potato, especially with the added cheese. I didn't try the beans, and the toast was soft but unremarkable. The chicken wings were a standout--they were delicious, tender, and very flavorful without being too spicy. Overall, the experience had its ups and downs--perfectly cooked steaks and amazing wings, but the flavors on some items could use more attention.

Rustic interior, good menu of steaks and some seafood, limited choice of sides, good quality mesquite-grilled steaks and great ribs. Do check the whiteboard by the entrance for entree and drink specials. They have a great selection of drinks and a nice bar area. The reason for my 4-star rating is the limited selection of sides: salad, beans, baked potato and Texas toast. It is plenty of food, but if those sides aren't your thing you're kind of limited compared to say the Silver Saddle. My T-bone was the perfect size (for me), done to perfection. A little bit gristly, but the flavor was excellent. Everyone else got the ribs which were judged to be excellent. One outlier declared they were the best ribs he's ever had, though no one else ranked them quite that high. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall we had a very nice experience and we'll be back when we have guests in town that are steak-lovers.

The interior reminds me more of a bar setting and semi loud. The service was pretty quick and friendly. The food..the food was Soo good. I got the filet and a cactus margarita. Honestly it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It came with a baked potato and a side salad. Really a good amount of food for me. That also brought out beans and Texas toast but I was stuffed. Highly recommend. I'm ordering the chocolate mousse too and I have full faith that it will be good.

Always a treat to enjoy the best prepared steak in Tucson, the most delicious steak you will ever have, and the sides are most delicious as well, the staff is always efficient and attentive, thank you for being a long standing Tradition in Tucson

When visiting Tucson, we wanted to go to an iconic steakhouse in the area. This was an excellent choice to have a tasty, juicy steak. We both ordered the rib-eye steak medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. In addition to the steak, you get a baked potato and a salad. The salad is lettuce topped with dressing. Nothing special. It's the steak that's the star, which you would expect since this is a steakhouse. You can get beans and bread upon request for no additional charge. Service is good. From our dining area, we could see the steaks cooking on the outside grill. There are two dining areas from which you can choose. One is the bar/lounge type space that has TVs, and the other is a dining room. All over the walls are $1.00 bills with writing on the bills. I asked the waitress, and she said the dollar bills were started by the owner who tacked up his first dollar when the restaurant opened. Then someone placed a dollar on the wall to commemorate someone who passed away. The tradition then started to place dollar bills to recognize someone or something. She said when the walls get full, they donate the money to charity.

There is now a sidewalk sandwich board which is helpful. This establishment cannot decide if it wants to be a butcher shop or a fine dining restaurant. It does both...to mixed results. It's the classiest butcher shop I have ever been in, and the most schizo restaurant, bar none. I would not bring a date here. 3 stars. Service-I walked in yesterday to look at a menu for lunch. Was not greeted after standing around for almost 10 minutes. I left without food. 1 star Food-Have gotten sausage, steak and lamb here in the past. Their cold case stands out. Good selection. The merguez, breakfast and brats that i had purchased all had good flavor and mouthfeel, but were unfortunately, extremely salty. Forbes is very expensive as well, compared to other butcher shops around Tucson, beef jerky is 40/lb. 2 stars

I tried to make reservations at another restaurant beforehand known for their prime rib, but they were booked full. So I reserved this place. Upon our arrival we entered the door on the right hand side of the building. We told them the name our reservation was under and they said it was for the restaurant next door on the left side of the building. It was for the more upscale restaurant as mentioned by the host. They have two restaurants by the same name that sit opposite of each other. I hear their counterpart is just as good. We entered the building from the left and told the host the name the reservation was under. The host wasn't as attentive as she should have been. She hardly even looked as us. We were standing there and she seemed to be busy with something else. No ' it'll be just a few minutes', nothing. She was talking with the other ladies. Finally we were seated. Our server was very nice. We decided on two steak dinners. My wife had the 8oz filet and I got the rib-eye both med-rare. Our steaks look good when we received it. But my steak was served rare! It was chewy and fatty. I chewed for days just to get a single piece down. My wife steak was overcooked to medium. There's nothing worse than an overcooked filet mignon! We don't like sending food back for obvious reasons. We've heard too many horror stories, not to mention I use to work in the food industry. As I mentioned, our server was very nice and attentive as well! She constantly checked on us and my tip reflected that! For a $170.00 bill, our meal was mediocre at best. Thanks for ending my wife's Mother's Day on a sour note!

The first thing I need to own is that it's a shame I hadn't visited here before. We arrived at 5:30p and both the bar and patio areas were packed - standing room only, and no wonder. They have one of the better happy hours (daily! 3:00 - 6:30p) - able to accommodate both the slacker and the over-timer Lol. Basic drinks are all discounted such as house wines, well drinks, and beers. Their bottled wines and craft cocktails are all exempt though. Many of their appetizers are also discounted and some quite substantially. We grabbed a glass of the house cabernet ($6, normally $8) and the grilled shrimp wrapped in jalapeno bacon ($13, normally $20). NOTE: happy hour pricing is Only available if you order/consume at the bar or on the patio and that's clear in advance, and understandable. The dining areas were only half full at this early point (but filled up by 6:30) and the host kindly encouraged us to enjoy our starters at the bar as she would hold our table. We were then sat near the "back" of this long venue and frankly, aside from the lone windowed table at the very front, this would be my preferred seating - cozy, intimate, with only five other tables around us. For dinner drinks she got an Italian Nebbiolo Bricco Magno Red Blend ($13/glass, reliably terrific/mellow) and I got the Chupacabra ($15) Mezcal/prickly pear cocktail, strong and excellent as well. We got an additional appetizer: the roasted bone marrow ($19). I had never had marrow before but she raved about how good this can be if done properly (bonus, it is super healthy). Folks, a picture/worth a 1000... suffice to say this was simply outstanding! We both had long work weeks and were craving meat - just a damn good steak. Our waiter, without blinking recommended the 8oz bison filet mignon ($65) as his absolute menu fav, and then the day's special: 14oz ribeye ($50). We ordered each. All dinners come with two sides and we each got the day's special: roasted half artichoke and she got the loaded baked potato while I got the mashed potatoes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later at good temperature (warm/rested with a strong char) with each being accurately grilled (medium and medium-rare). Taste was outstanding. Neither one of us had bison filet before and marveled how it (subtly) added a "wild" edge to an always outstanding, lean-but-tender, cut of beef. The loaded baked was terrific, however, the mashed was the only disappointment... a plainer mash one could not make themselves - pure white and borderline dry, no milk, butter, egg, gravy(?), nothing to make it creamy or add any flavor dimension - a surprise frankly. The only other "critique" is that the dessert menu could add some kind of dark/chocolate concoction. All in all, though, we loved our experience and have decided to add this to our periodic special dinners rotation! Staff was outstanding - just the proper balance of attentive and quiet - and waters never went below half empty. Parking is free and plentiful, especially behind the restaurant (and yes, if you continue on around the back there is another long entrance/exit driveway that comes out the other side of Jimmy John's and Noodleholics.

Where they seemed to sit everyone coming into the restaurant. If the restaurant was packed I would understand but every other room was empty. Who wants to sit along the pathway to the bathroom? Service was so/so. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. But frankly the quality of the food was not worth the cost. Definitely will not be returning, until they revamp the menu to include less French style and more uniquely inspired fresh food. I mean if we wanted French we would have gone to Le Rendezvous or Wild Garlic which are top notch.
