I visited the Dairy Queen in Bellmead, TX off Bellmead Drive and had a very disappointing experience. After paying $31.14, we were told to pull around and wait, only for the order to be wrong. They left off the steak fingers meal and a sundae from the $7 meal. We didn't receive straws, and no type of compensation was offered for the mistakes. I had to go back a second time because my daughter was upset about missing food, only for them to hand her the two steak fingers they left off--but my burger and fries were already cold. They didn't offer to remake the whole meal, and it felt like the staff didn't even care. On top of that, we ordered a strawberry ice cream dessert (the strawberry cheesecake blizzard), and it was handed out with no lid at all--just a cup with a spoon stuck in it. That's not only careless but also unsanitary. I wasted gas going back twice, my food was cold, and the service was sloppy and frustrating. Want a burger reheated in a microwave? This is your place. I did not believe it at first! I saw the "cook" place the wrapped cheese burger, will all veggies, in the microwave and then place it in a bag. The fries were actually pretty good, nice and hot. I ate the fries. Guy the guy register was also the "cook" no customer service skills. Only person that acknowledged me was the manager, so there's that. Will never set foot here again. read more

We had two blizzards ordered through the drive thru. There was only one car behind us. We were moved to the parking lot like other reviewers. I gave two stars as we didn't have to wait as long as others. However my blizzard was partly melted and my wife's was slightly melted. Do not plan to return here. We do love DQ. read more

The "manager" at this location is a condescending jerk. I arrived at 11:30am today to have lunch and the door was locked. I was standing there trying to figured out what was going on and the "manager" came out the door to deliver food to someone waiting outside. I asked "Can we not eat inside today?" He very rudely said "We only have two people here today, we're not as good as you bro." Then he walked away from me. I understand staff shortages, but there's no excuse for talking to customers or acting the way he did. It could have been avoided by putting a sign on the door stating that due to staff shortages only the drive thru is open. It's no mystery why this location is understaffed. This isn't the first time this guy has acted this way. I was in there a few months ago and he screamed at one of the employees at the counter at the the top of his lungs from the kitchen area. If the owner of this location wants a successful business, he should fire that manager immediately and hire someone who actually cares about making the business better instead of running off all the customers. This is the absolute cleanest old school DQ I have visited!!! Restroom. Building. Kitchen. Lobby. Spot less. I'm a clean freak. Impressed.

You can tell the ice cream machines aren't cleaned and we found lint and mysterious dark spots in our ice cream.

We were on a road trip and stopped for Blizzards. We waited in drive thru like for over 25 minutes and only one car moved. We finally just left without ever making it to the window. Don't waste your time w this location. It's pathetic. read more

Worst service EVER! We pulled in to drive through with one car ahead of us. Once we ordered, we were asked to pull into parking lot to wait. There were already two cars waiting ahead of us parked in parking lot. After 10 minutes, we asked for a refund but they said no they had already started our order. Finally, after 18 minutes total, we received our food. No apologies for the wait or any offer for free drink/ icecream or anything?! Do they train their cooks to only cook one order at a time or what? We only ordered a burger & fries combo & an order of nachos. Even worse...my burger was overcooked and dry as a bone. I have been going to this location for more than 30 years without having any issues but tonight I could not believe what happened. Ordered 3 ice creams and waited in line for over 45 minutes. When the little girl came out to see what we ordered she then went to the car behind me. Never once did we get any more help we had to ask for the car in front of use to move so we could at least get out and leave. Neve got or paid for our order. I will be getting in contact with the manager and owner and also DQ corporate over this. The employees acted like it was a big party and could not care less about the customers. My family and I stopped at this location on our way back home from Austin, Friday 8/7/15. We were all craving a blizzard. My Dad was really looking forward to a burger as well. I wish we had continued to travel further to find another Dairy Queen location, but we were really hungry. First, as we stepped inside the store, it seemed to be just as hot inside as it was outside. So we decided to get our food to-go. The guy taking our order had the nerve to have a toothpick in his mouth and had a very I don't give a damn attitude. We should have walked out at that very moment. The service was slow. It took forever to get our orders and once we got the food, the fries were under cooked, my chicken tenders were over cooked and the gravy might as well been water. It was horrible. Even the ice cream had a strange taste to it. The whole meal was not satisfying at all. I will never stop at this location again and I'd advise anyone to keep looking also. read more

I was hoping that the 3 prior reviews for this DQ were old and that it couldn't be that bad. Literally stuck in the drive-thru for 24 minutes to get 3 blizzards. To make it worse, the workers forgot they had their mics on and we had to listen to conversion/complaints of "why does everyone come at the same time?" It was 5:30 pm, isn't that when the dinner rush starts? Then to top it off our order was wrong. If we hadn't been trapped in the drive-thru by concrete dividers, we totally would have left. There are at least 4/5 other DQs in the area. Please go to one them and not this one!! Edit- I started writing this review while still in drive-thru. When you pull in with this Dairy Queen at five till 10 PM and their light is still on inside and their sign outside, which I am told is on a timer, is still on and their menu sign is still lit up you will hear the manager answer you at the drive through PA and say, "I'm sorry we just closed". Never mind, all indications show they're still open and the website says they close at 10 PM which is still five minutes away. You will be told, "by my watch inside it's 10:00. So, be aware they have a sliding scale for when they close. Traveling through town and wanted to stop for a drink and a burger to go. Will never be stopping at this Dairy Queen location again. And once I find out who the owners are and if they own any other franchise dairy queens I will not be shopping there either. They did not even offer if I wanted just a drink. Which if they had closed all sources of cooking down, they could've made me a drink. And just for further reference right across the street sonic drive-in also closes at 10 o'clock. I had time to drive across the street and order and receive my food. How disappointing Dairy Queen. I expect more out of a place I have grown to love over decades of continued service. read more

I've noticed they have a new cook in the evenings that's pretty decent at what he does! I've known him to make a mistake but the food was fresh and the mistake corrected! Give it a try let me know what you think! read more

Stopped here while traveling through to get blizzards and fries. Not enough to staff for 7pm on a Saturday night. Had to wait 20 mins for our order to be made, 2 blizzards, 1 sundae and 1 order of fries. Banana split blizzard had NO bananas and NO chocolate syrup....even when I ordered extra chocolate syrup. Fries were not done ! These quality errors could be corrected with more staff to provide adequate service. When we left there was 2 employees working drive thru and dining room. Customers waiting 20-30 minutes in dining room just to place an order. Ridiculous!! Hire staff ! I'll never go back to this location!! read more
