I love this dairy queen!!! It's so cute. Me and my family stopped here and loved it. We all got giant dipped ice cream cones and they were delicious. There weren't too many people there when we visited and the service was fast and the staff was so nice. I think about this place often because I had never seen a dairy queen like this before.

Look at the architecture. Original and back to the '50's This is one of the original stores from the early days of Dairy Queen. May be more but this is one of three that I can think of that date back to the early 1950's. There may be more but the other two that I can think of are on Central Ave and on Wilkinson Blvd in Charlotte. Had not intended to stop while I was out taking photographs but when I saw the store, could not help myself. Outside it was in the mid '90 and when I walked up to the window, I was looking for something cold. Got that plus memories of growing up in the '50's and '60's. Cool and creamy and you have to eat fast in the hot weather to control melting. Not fancy or as refined as some places today but a throw back to a simpler time

Chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve! ~$1.50 for small

Short and sweet but I've gone multiple times to this dairy queen since it's give that retro ice cream vibe that dairy queen had when you picture ice cream and the summers. This place is a treat and very affordable. I typically only get the soft serve cone that's chocolate dipped and it's usually under a $2. I've seen a lot of other options but I go for the classic of chocolate dipped vanilla or sometimes swirl. You can't really go wrong with ice cream. I hear great things about the blizzards and I've seen the banana split that looks super tasty so I'll probably try those when the weather starts warming up a little.

Just a short waiting line today.

I loved that they offer unique builds, including one with French fries and even a Greek burrito packed with feta, olives, and other Greek-inspired ingredients. Service was quick, the food came out fast, and the different flavors of Rice Krispy treats were a delicious bonus. Definitely a great place to grab a quick meal in Salisbury!

They have plenty of pre-built options, but I decided to make my own bowl, and I'm so glad I did. I went with brown rice, chicken, pico de gallo, sautéed onions, peppers and mushrooms, pickled jalapeños, banana peppers, olives, and feta. They also had a peach salsa available on the side that was such a good addition. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors worked perfectly together, and the portion was great. My total was only around $12 including tip, which felt like an excellent value for the amount and quality of food. There's plenty of seating downstairs, and I grabbed a window seat where I could eat and watch the world go by outside. The staff were pleasant and professional, and the whole experience was easy and enjoyable. Definitely a place I'd return to if I'm ever back in Salisbury. I just wish there were one closer to home!

It's a smaller spot with the ordering counter and kitchen in the back and maybe seating for 26 or so. The folks behind the counter were friendly and the order process was simple. I got their sandwich special, the Buffalo Soldier. It was chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, blue cheese, and ranch on ciabatta. I made it a combo with chips and a soda. With tip I think the total was around $17. That was a touch more expensive than I was expecting especially with just a bag of chips on the side. The sandwich was good. Between the blue cheese and the ranch it was really creamy and most of the toppings slide off with the second bite. I don't mind a mess though! The ciabatta bread was the perfect compliment for the sandwich. It was a cute spot and I especially liked the creative sandwich names. I'd go back and try the chicken ceasar wrap next time.
