I love this dairy queen!!! It's so cute. Me and my family stopped here and loved it. We all got giant dipped ice cream cones and they were delicious. There weren't too many people there when we visited and the service was fast and the staff was so nice. I think about this place often because I had never seen a dairy queen like this before.

Look at the architecture. Original and back to the '50's This is one of the original stores from the early days of Dairy Queen. May be more but this is one of three that I can think of that date back to the early 1950's. There may be more but the other two that I can think of are on Central Ave and on Wilkinson Blvd in Charlotte. Had not intended to stop while I was out taking photographs but when I saw the store, could not help myself. Outside it was in the mid '90 and when I walked up to the window, I was looking for something cold. Got that plus memories of growing up in the '50's and '60's. Cool and creamy and you have to eat fast in the hot weather to control melting. Not fancy or as refined as some places today but a throw back to a simpler time

Chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve! ~$1.50 for small

Short and sweet but I've gone multiple times to this dairy queen since it's give that retro ice cream vibe that dairy queen had when you picture ice cream and the summers. This place is a treat and very affordable. I typically only get the soft serve cone that's chocolate dipped and it's usually under a $2. I've seen a lot of other options but I go for the classic of chocolate dipped vanilla or sometimes swirl. You can't really go wrong with ice cream. I hear great things about the blizzards and I've seen the banana split that looks super tasty so I'll probably try those when the weather starts warming up a little.

Just a short waiting line today.

I told the manager that this was unacceptable. That it was piss poor management. The Cheerwine festival was going on. Just streets away. Wouldn't you think that you'd have a heavier order due to the situation (the festival). The other drink a Dr.Pepper float and it didn't taste like Dr.Pepper.

I should have checked the rating before stopping here. I had just done a day of hiking and this was…read morethe closest location w/o a big detour on my way back home. I used the app to place my to-go order; the drive-thru was literally wrapped around the bldg, so I opted to just walk in and get it. Every other CFA location I have used the app for has a little shelf area for mobile orders...this place oddly did not just a little sign I guess you were supposed to stand under awkwardly until a staff person noticed you. It took a hot minute cuz there was also a small queue inside, but finally a girl behind the counter acknowledged me and asked if I had a mobile order. I told her I did and she went to get it. Got my drink and my order and headed out. I usually check my order before I leave but I was in a rush to beat 85 traffic, and since I had just ordered a simple chicken sandwich combo and saw the sandwich and fries + sauces in the bag, no reason to delve further. I go out to my car, unwrap my sandwich only to find my chicken sandwich was missing the most important part...the damn chicken filet!? Seriously!?! I was honestly so miffed cuz not only was it missing the filet but it was not made how I specified in my app order (it had things on it I had requested to not be) and I would have just taken them off, but to not have the actual chicken filet was like OMFG HOW THO?!...so I walk back in and there was yet another small queue for the counter, but I didn't care, I just walked right up and was like "umm yeah I was just in and ordered a chicken sandwich yet the CHICKEN was missing!?". I show the girl and she is like "um, k..." and then stood there like she didn't know what to do. So then she says something to one of the workers in the cooking area about the chicken part of the chicken sandwich missing and one of the guys is like "there's no way" I'm like "uh yeah my thoughts exactly". So then this guy comes out (btw the girl never even apologized she was just like "ok we'll get u a filet") until the guy came out and was like "wow sorry about that, we'll make you a new sandwich (like I think the girl was literally going to give me just a filet to put on the empty bun!?)" and he went back to apparently go make it. After a few mins passed I was so annoyed that 1) they didn't even offer to refund me, at least for the damn sandwich missing the part that makes it a chicken sandwich and 2) I could hear one of the workers be like "she must have just taken it out to get another sandwich"...yeah cuz all this nonsense it worth dealing w/for a damn chicken filet for a sandwich I paid for, right, that's my BIG scam! I could NOT roll my eyes hard enough! I finally told the girl I just wanted a refund and she's like "he's almost done" and then just stood there...so what should have been less than 5mins turned into more than dbl that cuz some incompetent twit in the assembly line didn't add the chicken to my chicken sandwich. Usually I'm NOT a Karen about this kinda stuff but this location failed at every possible turn. I go to CFAs enough that I have gotten multiple free meals through points alone and have never had issues w/quality or staff, but this spot gives Arby's vibes and that is not in line w/the CFA brand. It was absolutely NOT a pleasure at this location. Tho maybe it was a blessing the guy remade my sandwich cuz I don't know that the one I originally got wouldn't have been garbage. The other part that was enraging was this was supposed to be their "special" pretzel bun chicken sammie and the f-ing meal was $12...no sir, never again. This place put me off CFA for awhile!

It's a smaller spot with the ordering counter and kitchen in the back and maybe seating for 26 or so. The folks behind the counter were friendly and the order process was simple. I got their sandwich special, the Buffalo Soldier. It was chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, blue cheese, and ranch on ciabatta. I made it a combo with chips and a soda. With tip I think the total was around $17. That was a touch more expensive than I was expecting especially with just a bag of chips on the side. The sandwich was good. Between the blue cheese and the ranch it was really creamy and most of the toppings slide off with the second bite. I don't mind a mess though! The ciabatta bread was the perfect compliment for the sandwich. It was a cute spot and I especially liked the creative sandwich names. I'd go back and try the chicken ceasar wrap next time.

The sandwiches were soooo good. Nothin slaps like good sourdough. And the sauce on my turkey sandwich, to die for! Super convenient location right off the interstate. A must visit!
