My sister has been trying to go to a Dairy Queen ever since she saw on TikTok that you can order the butterscotch dip on the side. Unfortunately for her, they no longer have the butterscotch dip just the chocolate so she had to pivot into a different option. I saw they had their Fall flavors so I got the brown sugar cookie dough option which was delicious because you can crunch on the brown sugar granules. She ended up getting the apple cheese cake which was good but I definitely liked my brown sugar option more. I got the mini and it was just the perfect size for me! This was a nice spot located close-ish to our church so we were able to swing by after mass. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The tables were clean and the place was very well maintained. read more

Dairy Queen Store - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Bolingbrook, Illinois

the ice cream here is good, but i ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard, and once i got my order, there was no chocolate chips and maybe 3 little peices of cookie dough. i went up to the counter asking if the worker guy could put some chocolate and dough in there, to which he told me that there was stuff in there and that he wouldnt give me any extra without paying for it. i was not happy since i bought a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard, not a plain vanilla. i am not very impressed with what i was told and i left with a sad plain ice cream. i even checked a few times to see if it was hidden or even blended in the ice cream, to which it was not. i am not impressed and very disappointed. read more

DILLY VANILLY How do you 'DQ': dipped cone, blizzard, or the classic Dilly Bar? Our neighborhood Dairy Queen sits in a strip mall at the corner of Weber Rd & Hassert.  As with most, this Bolingbrook location only serves ice cream (a handful of Grill n Chill or 'Brazier' DQs offer hot food like chili cheese dogs, burgers, chicken tenders and fries).  Oberweis is nearby, though they're strictly hard-scooped ice cream and DQ's soft serve just hits different. Dipped cones ($2.89) are my wife's favorite.  Current flavors include chocolate, cherry, butterscotch, and fruity blast; I've also seen Cotton Candy and Dreamsicle in the lineup.  The thin, hard candy shell covering soft serve is an undeniably unique treat.  Pro tip: you can get something other than the default vanilla--ask for chocolate or a swirl! The Very Cherry Chip blizzard ($4.79 for a small) consists of chocolate chunks blended with maraschino cherries, and it was right up my alley.  I like when employees stick the spoon in the blizzard and hold it upside-down before handing them to you, as a way of proving that they nailed the viscosity.  It's not much of a magic trick these days, but the effort is always appreciated. Dilly Bars® ($2) are stalwarts in the world of ice cream bars, having remained largely unchanged over the decades.  You can get regular/cherry/butterscotch as well as mint chocolate and Heath Bar, in either a single serving or take-home box of six.  I was disappointed with Cherry Starkisses (6 for $16) in that they were fresh fruit popsicles and not the cherry-coated ice cream bars I mistook them to be. * TL;DR * Dairy Queen is a summer staple and it's tough to imagine the season without them. Their doors are open year-round but I anticipate our returning Memorial Day next year, once the weather warms up again and someone at the house inevitably starts screaming for ice cream (it'll probably be me). read more

Dairy Queen Store - Heath caramel brownie cupfection - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Bolingbrook, Illinois

The two older employees, a man and woman, were very unfriendly, and . Saw them treating their teenage employees in a degrading manner. Bad . Visited here several times and had the same results, will find another Dairy Queen from now on. read more

I ordered a sundae and pup cup. I got the pup cup on a teeny cone. I asked them if they can put it in a cup and they told me I'd have to purchase the cup. They looked at me like I was weird because I wanted it in a cup. I guess they don't know a pup cup is for a dog. Will not be visiting here again. The one in Romeoville definitely knows what a pup cup is. read more

Service with a smile all the time and made quick! Never a dull moment when the kids and I go. We will always return! read more

Ok, I have seen many negative reviews on this location, but let me tell you I have been coming here since 2009 and it is one of my favorite places during summer time. Friendly environment, great parking spots, owner is friendly, next to bicycle stand, sitting area (other locations don't have this), they make cakes. Only thing is sometimes it gets hot inside due to the sun direction!! Happy summer time!! read more

Dairy Queen Store - a hand holding a cup of ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Bolingbrook, Illinois

Just got ice cream at this location and was disappointed. Ordered ice cream cones. Portion was smaller than any other DQ I've visited and the cone was somewhat stale. Lady who served us was pleasant though. read more

I stopped by my local DQ for the first taste for Spring 2020 flavors and was not disappointed. I like this location because there is plenty of parking and never a long wait. The space is clean and inviting. The staff friendly and attentive. And bonus the sweet treats were BOGO for .80! I decided to try the new Heath Chocolate Brownie Blizzard with Hubby opting for Strawberry Cheesecake. I definitely recommend the Heath blend if you are a chocolate & toffee fan. Overall I am happy to recommend this location if you are in the area. Cheers to a happy & healthy year! read more

I will not be returning to this location and it's unfortunate because it's very close to my house. The girl that took my order was actually very nice, but the man that made my Blizzards was not. I ordered 2 Med Oreo Blizzards one with extra Oreo and I asked for 2 sundae lids after I paid because usually we don't eat them in one sitting. I heard the girl tell him that I wanted 2 sundae lids. A couple mins later she handed me the blizzards in a bag and asked is everything in the bag? She said yes. I clearly felt there were no sundae lids on the blizzards or in the bag so I asked again... The guy came around the wall and said we can't give them to you because they cost money! I told him I would pay I still want them but he was so worked up as if I was trying to get over on him he didn't even realize I said that I would pay for them. So I repeat myself. I will pay for them because I want them. Then he charged me like $1.96 or something. Not sure if they actually have that as a item to purchase on the register but whatever. As I mentioned I will never return. I have never been charged extra for a sundae lid at a DQ but this one did. It's not about me having to pay for the lids, it's the way he handled the situation. Not to mention I even donated to the charity. What is even crazier is that I pass 3 ice cream shops coming to this location and on top of that you can barely even see that this DQ is in the plaza. I guess that's why he was so upset that I asked for sundae lids and didn't just take the cheap drink lids they usually use.... read more

We went for a treat after eating dinner nearby. I'm not sure if it was the owner who took our order, but he was extremely friendly and we really enjoyed our short little visit here. Sometimes it's the little things that make you want to come back for more! read more

This place is amazing! They support the local community as much as they can - we really appreciate it!! We love getting ice cream here! It is a small location so have patience when you go- its worth the wait! They are so friendly and nice! read more

I am giving them 0 stars. We went on 'get a free cone if you buy any item' day and they knew that their cash register and store was not ready for mobile coupons, yet they still gave my sons cones, made me pay, and then seemed shocked when I could not find the offer in the app. Talk about a racket where I paid 5.79 for 2 cones and now I'm very happy at McDonald's paying 59 cents a cone. They got the business in the door yet they swindled the customer. Rude! read more

New ownership since May 2018 - My friends and I walked our dogs to this location. While I was inside ordering, they brought a big bowl of water outside for our dogs that were waiting with my friends. The owner stated they normally have a bowl outside on hot days. This is a very considerate, family-owned establishment. read more

Is this place ever open? I try to go sometimes, and it'll be like 12:00pm on a Thursday and their closed. Cmon guys.

Ok, so there is a new owner and she has corrected all the issues from the past owner. The place, both inside and out is now clean and the soda machine is working. The sign indicating extra cost for w.c. and nuts on a sundae is gone. Overall, the place seems to be straightened out now. Typical DQ ice cream - tastes good once again. read more

My cousin just drove over to this location after calling to find out when they closing (10 pm) so we wouldn't waste our gas and time if they were closed. We arrived at 9:37 pm with signs turned off, the tables and chairs stacked inside, and the lights basically turned off as two employees rushed to leave. Outside were probably 4 folks enjoying their frosty treats that had made it into DQ before the loser employees decided that our business wasn't worth their time. Consequently, they aren't worth our money. read more

NEW OWNERS!!!! Woohoo!!!!! Clean and quick service! New owner is great!! She's always present...coaching her new hires and making sure everything comes out perfect and she does it with a smile!! My husband and I may or may not be addicted to DQ and we love that this DQ is top knotch!!!! read more

Ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. Cake was not ready when we got there and when we received the cake the writing was the wrong color-the color we requested it NOT to be. Very frustrating as the cakes aren't cheap and we were charged full price for a cake that was late and wrong. Wouldn't order again. read more

05-31-16 @19:00: My family wanted to give this ice cream shop a try; typically go to Andy's which is always a big hit. We wanted to try the new Funnel Cake A La Mode. The Old White Lady at the counter was Not nice at all. What the hell happened to "Service with a smile!?" Courtesy? Her answers were short, loud and abrupt. Her answers were, "we don't have it." When asked if she knew which store may have it, her response was "I don't know." The store was not busy at all, but were made to feel hurried. Absolutely Nothing about her was pleasant. Shameful!! This is why Bolingbrook residents go to Naperville. WTF! The next time my family wants an ice cream treat, we'll just stick with what is consistently Outstanding - Andy's Frozen Custard on Weber Road. read more

I have come to this DQ many times and the old white lady has never let me down! So helpful and never skimps on the toppings in my blizzards! she's always smiling and very helpful whenever I have questions. I will be back for many more blizzards! read more
