This location was willing to accommodate my custom request and the cake turned out great. Thank you for the detailed work!

    Reese peanut butter shake

I was craving a shake, so I decided to try Cold Stone. They have a new line of Reese Peanut butter cup choices. I chose the shake. The service was top notch, very friendly gentleman took care of me. The price is kinda high, $6+ for a 16-18z shake, come on. I know all the ice cream is made in house, and you get what you pay for but kinda high. The taste of the shake is where they lost me. It's a Reese Peanut Butter shake, it should taste like that. This was all peanut butter, it over powered any chocolate flavor. Some how that need to put some chocolate pieces in the shake then it would be a winner.

No matter how many times I visit, I always end up finding something new that catches my eye. Between the incredible selection of breads, pastries, and drinks, it's nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. One of the things I love most about this place is the variety of bread flavors they offer. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet, savory, classic, or unique, there always seems to be a fresh batch coming out of the oven. The bread always tastes incredibly fresh, whether you're eating it immediately there or in the car or saving some for breakfast the next morning. The drinks deserve recognition too. They're consistently good, surprisingly affordable, and pair perfectly with whatever baked goods you decide to bring home. My go to drink here is the jasmine milk tea with 50% sugar and light ice. It's rare to find a place where the quality is this high while the prices remain so reasonable. I've tried a variety of their drinks over the years, and they've yet to disappoint. I was so happy they finally opened an 85 Degrees bakery here in the Midwest because I would always visit this place when I visit the West Coast. If you're a bread lover, this bakery is absolutely worth the trip. The combination of fresh-baked bread, flavorful drinks, affordable prices, and an endless selection of goodies keeps me coming back time and time again. It's one of those places that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even finished what you bought from this one.

We were meeting our daughter and this was a convenient location. 85 C was in the same parking lot as H-Mart so we changed our plans. They are laid out like other Korean Bakeries. They have a very nice selection of sweet and savory pastries, bubble teas, coffees, milk teas, regular teas and more. I simply had an iced tea. At our table we also had one bubble tea and one latte. My partner and daughter also had pastries. I don't eat them but was told they were very good. They don't have a whole lot of seats but we were fortunate to get a table right away. We didn't feel rushed at all even though they were busy. I'd say this is a fine place to for an afternoon visit.

I drove over an hour each way because of the incredible reviews--and every single one proved true. In fact, my experience exceeded even my highest expectations. I've been baking from scratch for my family for more than 50 years, so I know the real thing when I taste it. This bakery is unquestionably baking from scratch. Honestly, I can finally retire my mixer and my family won't know the difference. Even my grandson--who is as selective as they come and doesn't usually care for pound cake--took one bite of my sample and immediately asked for a slice for the ride home. That says everything. Kesha, the owner, is personable, friendly, professional, and simply phenomenal. Businesses like this deserve our full support because they feel like our own community treasures. Unfortunately that's where it stopped for me. They had baked goods on a wall display and a display by the counter, along with cake in a refrigerator. Unfortunately, none of it looked fresh nor did any of it stood out to me or was very appeasing. The regular croissants looked very dry and flaky and the chocolate croissants were flat and smashed looking. Even the cake in the refrigerator looked dry... I did end up buying a lemon blueberry scone along with an almond danish- and I feel like I wasted $10. My 10 year old child thought the scone was old and stale. The almond danish basically was phyllo dough with a big dollop of almond paste- I couldn't even eat half of it. They do have a menu with soup and croissant sandwiches, but they're very over priced. $18.50 for a bacon egg and cheese croissant!?! Hard pass for me. Some advice should you choose to try this place, keep an eye out on your receipt. While I do hope it was an honest mistake- the guy working there was nice- he charged me $6/piece for the scones and the danish when they were actually $5/piece. I did bring it to his attention before I paid and he did adjust the prices. Whatever he rang them up as- was not listed as a "scone" or "danish."

It seriously took me about 10 to decide on a dessert. In the end, I got a slice of strawberry cheesecake. I took it to go, knowing that I would eat it in my car. (The best place to eat any food.) I chose cheesecake, because in the end, cheesecake is the illest of the desserts. You can't go wrong with a silky smooth slice o' cake o' cheese. And I wasn't wrong! The cheesecake at Bao's is creamy, yet a little pleasantly gelatinous from the strawberry topping. It was so rich that I couldn't eat it all in my car, so I took it to go to enjoy back at my hotel. Some of the other things I was considering getting at Bao's included the mini tarts, tiramisu cup, raspberry opera cake, turnovers, passionfruit cake and many others. Turns out, that everyone had the same idea, since the shop was closed Monday and Tuesday and that Wednesday was the first day back. I couldn't make it in time for opening, but about 90 minutes in; such a line!! I waited outside for 45 minutes, braving the cold winds as CDC guidelines only allow one guest in the tiny shop at a time. People were coming out with bags and bags of Hot Chocolate Bombs. When I made it into the store, that was obviously the main draw, although I did manage to take a couple cupcakes home, too. I scored two mint and two regular, both were filled with marshmallows. As I now was crazy intrigued at this entire fad, it definitely became the excitement of this more mundane holiday season. They were delicious (as were the cupcakes). Pro tip: follow the Cupcakery on Facebook. You'll not only know when there will be HCBs but also how many so you know how early to arrive to score some. They'll be making them as long as it remains cold out! Definitely worth the wait.
