What a great local ice cream spot! They serve up generous portions of Hershey's ice cream in such a cute part of downtown. There's a lot of seating inside (with AC in the hot months) or plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your ice cream outside. We also like taking our ice cream for a walk through downtown to look at the river just enjoy the scenery. Note that if you have mobility challenges with stairs, this place may be difficult to access. The entire area is full of very steep hills, and there are a few steps to get up to the entrance of the store front. There may be an alternate entrance/way in that avoids stairs, but I'm not sure where it is. read more

Got ice cream from the Lemont location of this small local chain. It may be kind of not that much of a selection but it makes up for it in quality. Creamery has both the basic and more unique flavors. More expensive than the bigger chains but it's better obviously. There's even a few vegan ones if avoiding dairy products. Cool place for when it gets hot. It's not that big inside. There's only a few tables. Maybe appropriate because there's not a crap ton of flavors. This is more like the hand crafted stuff. It's about $6 a cup. That's the only very bad thing. Has a few non dairy flavors including the Vegan Classic Cookie. This is also healthier without the cholesterol and things. For being a locally owned ice cream place it's not bad to be honest. It's more expensive than the big chains but this isn't mass produced from who knows what factory farms and stuff. Came here after visiting the forage, which is less than a five minute drive away. Luckily we got parking right on the street which was fantastic and it is free. Walked in here. There was absolutely no line. The place was so cute and the two girls working there that they were extremely friendly and kind. They even offered a samples. I ended up getting a to scoop ice cream with a cone with two different flavors. Let me tell you this did not disappoint. I am a connoisseur of coffee, flavored ice cream and their flavored coffee ice cream is incredible. The probably pecan is super tasty as well. Nothing disappointed. There are several tables and chairs inside as well as outside so that is very comfortable and nice. Pricing is fair, considering the portion size of the scoops. I would definitely come back and try more of the menu and a family actually ordered one of the fancy complicated looking Sundays. That was almost a foot tall. That was quite impressive to see. Definitely have to come back and try more of the menu and this is a must stop if I'm ever on this side of town. read more

I love ice cream, but this just did not hit the spot. Nothing looked homemade. Everything looked like it was bought straight off a Sysco truck. For a very well loved establishment that locals seems to love, I excepted high quality ice cream that's made in house, and looking at what they offer, it was not. They offer very expensive and extravagant milkshakes, but I didn't want to get fooled by it, knowing that I'm buying it because it looks big and pretty rather than tasty. I got a vanilla malt shake because the the strawberry shortcake dessert I wanted looked so pink and processed. The malt shake was very malty, but the service was also pretty slow for something that's relatively easy to scoop in a cup. read more

Nice ice cream parlor that plays music from the 60's and 70s. Takes you back down memory lane. Nice clean ice cream parlor with many selections of ice cream, sundaes, Banana Split, parfaits and other cool treats to enjoy. The young man behind the counter was a burst of energy. Great personality. I'm not sure if it was the owner sitting in the office. The door was wide open while he was talking on the phone. I felt someone staring and looked in that direction. He gave me a cold stare and slammed the door shut so hard. Rude but Ok. I pressed the ignore button in my head. I drove too far for the bad energy. It was hard for me to decide on what I wanted to order. I remembered how delicious the pictures looked for the Caramel Apple Sundae (apple drizzle flavor burst, Caramel, pecans with whipped cream for $5.99. Great ice cream shop in downtown Lemont! My wife and I decided to stop here one night and glad we did. They have a good selection of different ice creams. I opted for the chocolate peanut butter and my wife went with the brookie dough flavor - both were delicious! Both staff members were very friendly and we were served quickly. The shop inside is small but they had ample amount of seats outside which was the perfect end to a weekend. We'll be back! read more

Fun place to have in our downtown Lemont area! Perfect for a sunny, warm day! I brought the two middles here after negotiating not to go to a school event. Ice cream or anything else? Pretty sure everyone with half a brain will choose ice cream! The young lady behind the counter was very courteous. When other ice cream places seem to despise giving out any spoon samples, she did so without issue. Of course, being the only one with any originality I tasted the cereal one and while delicious, way too sweet for me! My middles both went with mint chocolate chip. My son had a waffle cone and my daughter had a 2 scoop sugar cone. I have to say the portions were pretty generous, moreso for the two scoop sugar cone. Both ran under $10 total and with tip our little excursion wasn't too bad! Next time I'll be sure to bring the rest of the family! read more

Quite possibly under new management, great place with friendly staff and flavors like carrot cake, and Banana Moose Tracks (pictured). Pints to go, and crazy scoops! I want to preface this review and state that my rating is out of disappointment with regards to the ingredients... . . My rating is NOT a reflection on the flavor of the ice cream, the staff at this location, or the location itself. The staff was wonderful and of what I tasted, the ice cream is good. This location was also clean and inviting. . So, why only 3 stars? Well, I was super excited to have ice cream today - I mean who doesn't want ice cream when it's in the 70s and raining - so we stopped by this location in Lemont. I walked in greeted by the lovely ladies behind the counter. I was thrilled to see some unique flavors, including one called Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle (I think that's what it was called). I asked to taste it and much to my liking, it was very rich and flavorful. However, it was also very sweet. I began to suspect that this Creamery might use high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) rather than sugar, so before trying any others, I asked the lady behind the counter if she knew. She kindly offered to check any flavor's packaging for the ingredient list. At my request, she checked the mint chip and the cookie dough - two of my favorite ice cream flavors - and unfortunately both have HFCS. Since it is located towards the beginning of the list, I believe it is unfortunately HFCS that sweetens the ice cream itself, rather than the chips or the cookie dough, meaning it is likely in all of the flavors. That was disappointing for me as I cannot eat HFCS. On a happy note, my boyfriend can and proceeded to get the chocolate chip cookie dough, which he enjoyed. read more

The creamery is always a fave when we come into town. I think this may have been my first time at the lemont location. Stopped here after dinner and it was delicious. I got my go-to, a Reese's blaster. My dad and sister got sherbet, my grandma got a sundae, and my husband got dark chocolate with caramel and also a flavor called llama love.
