Whoever the ice cream angels are that worked this 8pm shift on 7/24 deserve all the awards. All of them. I asked for a new sundae on the website they hadn't heard of, and instead of telling me they didn't have it, they checked the website themselves and made it special for me. I asked for extra everything except for ice cream and they DELIVERED. Best. Service. Love them. Love this sundae. This is a nice Dairy Queen because it's a drive-thru. Service always excellent. The staff is pleasant at the drive thru window.

Have to agree with most of the other reviews...this place just isn't bringing it. While soft serve is soft serve, the service here is pretty limp. We had a root beer float and the root beer tasted like soda fountain wash water...absolutely no taste. I suspect the soda dispenser was running out of syrup and/or fizz, so the root beer float was ruined. Just no attention to detail by the employees. There are lot's of other ice cream and soft serve places around, so this one won't see us again. read more

This location is horrible. I went in to redeem a app coupon. The guy at the front counter today 10/3. @ 12pm saw it then the app stop running. Reopened app coupon was gone. He refused to redeem the offer even after he saw it. Nice customer service and nice way to earn business from a customer. Not! I would not recommend this location to anybody. It was a terrible customer experience tonight. I visited the dining room with my family. It took a half hour to get our ice cream. Then the manager said they where closed when it was around 8:50pm and he kicked our family and another family who just sat down out the door. There are plenty of other places to get ice cream in Homer Glen with better service. read more

Waited in the drive-thru for about 10 minutes. Was told to "wait one moment" to place my order, waited, asked twice if anyone was there, and was stuck there since there were other cars behind me. Eventually the cars behind me had to reverse to get out, and after about a total of 10 minutes if waiting, was able to leave. When I drove around the side there were two workers right at the drive-thru window. No idea what the wait was or why no one would respond. read more

I prefer other ice cream places to DQ, but preggosaurus was craving a blizzard so I had no choice but to come here. In the end it wasn't bad. Being that there was still snow on the ground the place was empty. It still took almost a minute for someone to come up to the counter. The blizzards happened to be on special at the time so I got one at regular price and the other for 99cents. It still cost me just under 6 bucks for two small blizzards. Taste wise it wasn't bad. Though I only got a few bites of a mint oreo blizzard before I was given puppy dog eyes and forced to regret getting the small size over a medium or large. read more

$9.89 for a hot fudge sundae and a medium Blizzard! This particular Dairy Queen is way more expensive than others in the area, and the few times that we've gone they've screwed up our order. I don't expect to find Mensa members at the local DQ, but these guys are 0-5 when it comes to correct orders. This is the most incompetent staff of any establishment I've ever seen. Myself and 5 other cars were trapped in their drive thru with no way out. Eventually I got out of my car and walked around. Only to have the fools working inside say "Oh our speaker is broken". No clue to post a sign. This isn't the first time. Hopefully Dairy Queen sees this and revokes their franchise. read more

Do yourself a favor and go less than a mile down Bell Road to the Creamery. I live in Homer Glen and every time I go to this Dairy Queen, I promise myself it's going to be the last time. As stated in other reviews, this DQ is expensive and the service is horrible. I went there this evening and ordered 2 sundaes and a milkshake, all with whipped cream. When I got up to the drive-thru window, they told me that it would be a few minutes while the manager/owner "went to look for some whipped cream." All the while, the ice cream sat on the counter and melted. If I hadn't already paid, I would have left and gone somewhere else. Then, when they finally had my order ready, I asked for a carrier and they told me they didn't have any. When I said that I wouldn't be back, the kid had the nerve to laugh. This was the most ridiculous trip to Dairy Queen I have ever had. It was laughable; the first thing I ordered they told me they could not make, an item I had personally made in the year I spent working at Dairy Queen. The wait was unbelievably long and I heard the man in the line behind me attempt to order, only to be told they do not make yet another thing I have made before. He then ordered a malt. This man repeated the word malt three times, was then asked to order at the window. Because we sat there for five more minutes, they attempted to take it again. This man repeated the word MALT so many times (he leaned out the window of his car) he eventually decided it was better to spell it. Which he still had to do twice. Once at the window, they re took my order, and apparently asking for sprinkles instead of hot fudge is about the most complicated thing you can do at an ice cream place. (Two stars, because you can't mess with the flavor of soft serve vanilla.) read more

I went there last night and ordered a funnel cake. I waited in the drive thru for about 15-20 min. It was smaller than the palm of my hand. I told the employee that I didn't want it and that I wasn't going to pay 6 dollars for that. The employee said that I couldn't so I asked to talk to the manager. The employee came back to the window without him and said I'm sorry I can't take it back. Mind you the employees were laughing and talking to the loser of a manager behind the door. Horrible! We stopped last friday night and had to wait a few minutes for someone to come out from the back to greet us. I ordered chicken fingers and fries and what i was served was so gross looking I ended up throwing it away. The wait for our order was long and I didn't want to make a fuss so we just left.
