This dairy queen overall made some good food. I ordered a burger with fries and a blizzard. Thankfully nothing was missing from the meal and the food was delicious. The burger tasted good, fries were crispy, and the blizzard was obviously delicious. The service overall was good as they did make my meal on time and the employee was overall nice too. As for ambiance it could be better as this dairy queen is part of a gas station. So that makes it a bit frustrating to go in when it's not just a DQ by itself. Don't recommend doing drive thru as it is a weird design. But I would still go for the food and blizzards. Convenient and easy to get to and food is good. But not a fan of the location of this DQ. read more

The people who work here are fine but I paid $17 for 2 mini blizzards and 1 small that had almost nothing in them. This happens more often than not. The unhelpful man refused to take my order or let me order it thru the drive thru window which I could easily walk to. Instead I had to drive by the order sign and wait about 10 minutes behind the new customer I had warned about no service inside. I think Dairy Queen as a whole isn't quite as good as it used to be and not nearly as good as I recall when I was a kid. This particular location is inside of a gas station. Location itself is clean and easy to get to, but the ice cream has gone downhill. My wife and I were camping up in Prescott and she suggested we stop for a tasty treat. Got gas in our truck and went inside. I went with a chocolate malt and she went with a Reese's Blizzard. My malt was meh. Malt powder wasn't mixed in very thoroughly which left chunks of frozen powder scattered throughout my ice cream. My wife's Blizzard was also kinda meh. At no fault of their own, we reside in Peoria and if it's any consolation the DQ here sucks, as well. I'll give them 3-stars because our order was correct (after double-checking with us) and the location itself is clean. Cost us $10 and I think this reiterates that the franchises as a whole leave a lot to be desired. Not sure I really have any incentive to go back. For $10, I'd rather go to the grocery and get a couple of pints of real ice cream and call it a day. read more

Short version: Complete opposite of my last review from about 2 years ago (1 star). Great customer service through good, personable associate/customer interaction. Nearly 3 weeks ago, I went to DQ with two important guests (children). I was going to place my order at the counter with Collin, starting with my mini blizzard order followed by the kid's meal order. Collin explained that if I were to order the kid's meals first and the blizzards separately afterwards, I could use the 50 cent coupons attached to the kids meal bags. He told me about how he was familiar with how expensive it can be to take families out to eat (plus a few nice personal details that I'm omitting to keep the review brief) and wanted me to save money. This was a huge, kind customer service experience that is above what not only what should be the standard of customer service in this industry but in par with the kind, small-town atmosphere that represents the community in which this DQ does business. The food was great (chicken tenders, fries), the blizzards were awesome (cotton candy and brownie dough). There's a McDonald's across the street from this DQ and, in all seriousness, I'd rather have a large order of fries HERE instead of McDonald's. I spent over $27.00 in at DQ this day and it was money well spent. No complaints and truly a polar opposite experience from my last review. Thank you, Dairy Queen. You know the "saying" about a fast food joint at a gas station usually being sub-par for that particular chain? The DQ in Prescott, AZ on Willow Creek epitomizes that. The food wasn't bad, per say...standard for a DQ. But...1) the window girl (around 1pm on 05/31/2020) had their mask under their chin; 2) they charged $2 for little pup-cups (the PV location didn't charge at all); and 3) the wait to order AND receive your order confirmed that DQ definately doesn't mean Damn Quick here. Avoid this location and go to the PV one, or go elsewhere. read more

The ice cream tasted good, but service terrible. When we arrived the two employees were both helping a younge couple ahead of us. They were also young and they all were chatting and getting to know each other. We waited patiently. When one of them was available to take our order we placed it, paid, then sat down. Minutes later while we were seated, still waiting for our order, they finished chatting with the earlier customers. Then another couple entered, ordered, paid and sat down. Then they were called because their order was ready. We returned to the counter while the 2 employees were now talking and doing side chores. I went there, couldn't find the order/menu sign because it is out of the way out the window, ordered an extra gravy with my chicken strip basket, got charged for it, and DID NOT receive it with my meal. Waited in the drive through for 20 minutes with nobody else in front of me to get my food. My toast was not buttered, nor cut in half for my convenience. The employees were SO RUDE!! When I asked for a discount or free ice cream, they said there was nothing they could do about it and to have a good night. Didn't even apologize. Since we've been on our trip to Arizona, we've been wanting to try Dairy Queen so we looked the closest one up to our hotel and that's why we came here. Honestly, we were having doubts, since this DQ was in a gas station, but surprisingly it was really good. This little old lady was there, I hate that I never got her name, but she opened up right on time, and the whole time she was busy prepping, cleaning doing anything and everything. She was super friendly and took our orders right away. As soon as she rung us up, she went to the back and started cooking the food, i was surprised she didn't even have a cook in the back, she was doing EVERYTHING herself. When we got our food, which was about 5-10 minutes later, it was delicious. My husband got the Flame Thrower combo with onion rings and I got the Grill burger combo. The food was really good, but we thought it lacked a little spice. A nice touch would've been some jalepeños or some banana peppers, then the food would've been amazing! Overall, the place was pretty nice, the service was great, and the food was very good. If we're ever in Arizona again, in these parts, we would definitely stop by again. We've never been to this DQ and didn't see the order/menu sign, so we drove up to the window with one car in front of us. By the time we made it to the window there were now 2 cars behind us. The cashier, Mallory, asked us if our order was a blizzard and we said we hadn't even ordered yet. She was kind enough to take our order instead of making us start all over (otherwise this review would be way different). So I just recently stopped by on the way home to grab a couple blizzards and a small chocolate sundae for the little man.. well this time, for once, the service was incredibly fast!! But that was the only good thing about it. I ordered a Royal Oreo Blizzard with the fudge funnel! I got home and ate down to the funnel to find out the chocolate fudge that runs almost the entire length of my blizzard was SPOILED. It literally made my tongue tingle and was extremely sour!! We had a good time. My girl ordered the chicken strip lunch for $5 and I got the double cheeseburger lunch for $6. The food was hot, the drinks cold and the sundae was creamy and big. I just had one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a Dairy Queen. I usually avoid this particular DQ because of typical long waits but gave it a go. They forgot about my order and after 15 minutes someone asked me if I was waiting on something, "yes, my food and blizzard". I waited 22 minutes before I got my food, asked for my blizzard and had to wait another several minutes. When I asked if I could be compensated for the long wait with a card for an ice cream or something the manager said, I said I was sorry. I was frustrated and explained how customer service works and they asked me to leave and stated they could call the cops if I didn't leave. Decided to go to DQ for lunch and like all fast food places in Prescott they always forget to give me and my girlfriend something that we ordered and paid for. However this time they completely messed up our order. We ordered a #2, Kansas pulled pork bbq (NO ONIONS)combo and a large cheese curds with ranch. 5mins go by and the cashier comes up to us saying they are out of cheese curds and if we would like to substitute it for an order of onion rings because they were the same price or she could refund me the money. I decided to substitute it for the onion rings not knowing until later (before leaving)that a large order of onion rings is around $3.49 and the large order of cheese curds is $5.19 plus $.25 for the ranch. So we get our order and the Kansas pulled pork has 2 big ONIONS in it and the French fries were replaced by 4 Onion rings. We didn't get the ranch and we didn't get the fries for the pulled pork meal until I asked for them. When we got the French fries they were over salted as you could see large globs of salt when scraping it off the side of the French fry tray. We didn't eat those, got ripped off from the onion rings and never got the ranch. So in total DQ owes us 1.95(I gave them credit for the large onion rings even though they ripped us off there). They can keep the money and I don't want any more food from them(afraid they'll mess with our food since you can't see where they prep the food). But as a result we will never come back to this DQ location. **I will post a picture of the receipt and the 2 large onions** You do not get your moneys worth and the employees need to be retrained and all Prescott fast food employees need to be paid less than minimum wage as they don't care about the product they serve or their customers. Compared to the paramedics here who get 11/hr, went to school and actually care about people. I think Arizona needs to rethink about lowering the minimum wage to something less than the $10 it is right now. These unskilled rehabilitated druggies do not deserve anything near what a trained paramedic earns. read more

Nasty place, 20 minute wait for 1 sandwich, and the food was definitely not worth the wait!

We are being generous with one star. We wanted a banana split and they were out of bananas. So we ordered an ultimate chocolate blizzard. They gave us a mini and realized we ordered a medium. Rather than making a new blizzard they integrated the melting blizzard in with new ice cream. It was so runny. They didn't flip it over and put it in a large cup to prevent spillage. I also ordered a small strawberry sundae. It was more like strawberries a la mode. There must have been a full cup of strawberries in there. The last mistake with our order was they gave my son a strawberry sundae instead of chocolate like we had ordered but he didn't complain and ate it anyway. While we ate our ice cream we watched several other patrons get the wrong orders. read more

Some might think this is where the story ends, with Andrew holding his ice cream. PLOT TWIST. You're wrong. I waited a mean 30 minutes for my large caramel sundae. After those thirty minutes starring at my cell phone, I heard the voice, your large caramel sundae is ready. I dropped my cell phone on the floor, picked up my head, took a step towards the counter and had my night turned into a horror movie. Right before my eyes I see this glob of shit in front of my face. My eyes are burning I cant bare to look at what these workers made me. I ordered a large and the ice cream barley made it to the top on the cup, I could take a shower for an hour with the amount of caramel in the cup and still have enough left over to send to Africa and end world hunger. So it was there where I pondered to myself, would Dr. Seuss not rhyme his books? Would David Beckham stop scoring goals? Would Disneyland ever close? NO NO and NO. Ordered a pecan mudslide. "We don't make that anymore" they told us. When we expressed surprise they then asked us how to make it. Why would you ask a customer how to make something? Don't you know your menu? Have you never heard of Google? I grew up eating dairy Queen it was one of my favorite places to go haven't been in a number of years but I have gone to this Prescott Arizona dairy Queen before a couple of years ago and it was okay. this time the ice cream that we got didn't even taste like ice cream it had the texture of almost Cool whip and the taste was utterly disgusting. I tried very hard to choke it down but halfway through I had to give up I noticed that my so calledice cream didn't even melt, in fact an hour and a half later it's still hadnt melted and still looked the same as when I left it unfinished. I took pictures, brought it home to my husband and family and they could not believe it. this is a sham! it's not even ice cream or ice melt! I know the difference I have done food service for 20 years. it tastes disgusting and actually made me sick to my stomach I will never ever go to another dairy Queen again! read more
