    Chocolate Malt

I think Dairy Queen as a whole isn't quite as good as it used to be and not nearly as good as I recall when I was a kid. This particular location is inside of a gas station. Location itself is clean and easy to get to, but the ice cream has gone downhill. My wife and I were camping up in Prescott and she suggested we stop for a tasty treat. Got gas in our truck and went inside. I went with a chocolate malt and she went with a Reese's Blizzard. My malt was meh. Malt powder wasn't mixed in very thoroughly which left chunks of frozen powder scattered throughout my ice cream. My wife's Blizzard was also kinda meh. At no fault of their own, we reside in Peoria and if it's any consolation the DQ here sucks, as well. I'll give them 3-stars because our order was correct (after double-checking with us) and the location itself is clean. Cost us $10 and I think this reiterates that the franchises as a whole leave a lot to be desired. Not sure I really have any incentive to go back. For $10, I'd rather go to the grocery and get a couple of pints of real ice cream and call it a day.

Black bits of filthy grill stick to stuck to the tortillas.

Absolutely disgusting. Took 20 minutes to get a "snack melt" and potato skins. I will submit pictures of the food. It was so gross I seriously wouldn't feed it to my dog. There were dried bits of filthy grill stuck to the tortillas, the chicken was completely dried out and looked like it had been sitting on out all night. It was beyond repulsive.

Not sure why they think it's acceptable to have a line take over an hour for 5 cars. Totally unacceptable

A worker who we saw preparing something in the window as we were passing by had handed me, my mom, and my dad a sample of almonds with cinnamon sugar on them. Needless to say, they were delicious. We heard about this place having great ice cream on TikTok, so my mom and I were on the hunt for that. We finally found it in the very back of the store. There was a young man/teenager working behind the counter and was super friendly, telling us that the Graham Canyon flavor was "grandpa approved." My mom got a scoop of that and the chocolate raspberry truffle while I got a scoop of the oatmeal cream pie and lemon bar. We really liked the Graham Canyon flavor, but found the raspberry in the chocolate raspberry truffle to be close to nonexistent. It was still a nice chocolate ice cream though. I loved both the oatmeal cream pie and lemon flavor, but I liked the oatmeal cream pie just a little bit more since there were larger chunks of the actual cookie in it. As we devoured our ice creams, we browsed around the store. Awesome staff, service, selection, and products. Definitely stop in here if you get the chance!

The shop itself is adorable with nostalgic car-themed signage and memorabilia. Additionally, the service was extremely friendly! We tried the espresso chip ice cream, and it was a huge portion that was so delicious and creamy (good texture without icicles)! Where Frannie's seems to overreach is in terms of the offerings. Their menu includes ice cream, shakes, frozen yogurt, coffee, baked goods, and bubble tea drinks. Based on the prior reviews, seems like this is a great spot for ice cream, shakes, and coffee. However, reviews for bubble tea are consistently negative and reviews for baked goods seem to be variable. Things to know: - there's a discount for paying with cash per some recent reviews. I hadn't noticed this when visiting - parking is easy unless there are events going on in the courthouse plaza - portions are huge! What's pictured in my review is considered two scoops but was more than enough for three people after dinner! - samples of the ice cream are allowed - seating includes indoor and outdoor bistro tables as well as indoor bar height seating

The one woman working inside was super friendly and walked us through each step of the ordering process. It would've been super stressful for her if there was a line, with how attentive she was being with us! My mom and I both ordered the ice cream cookie sundae. She chose a red velvet cookie base, with a scoop of the rush hour and a scoop of the ultimate peanut butter brownie ice cream, along with caramel drizzle and butterfinger topping. I ordered the Reese's cookie base with a scoop of the peanut butter brownie ice cream and lemon cheesecake ice cream, with white chocolate drizzle and Oreo pieces on top. My dad ordered the brownie base with ice cream and a Reese's cookie on top! His looked massive in his bowl! The ice creams were out of the world, but the cookies were the stars of the show. My mom is a superb baker and even she was stumped on how they can keep their cookies so soft throughout each bite even with cold ice cream on top. That's how amazing they were. If there's one thing I dislike about cookies, it's when they get crispy or crunchy and they're impossible to get through with utensils. These cookies, however, cut like a moist piece of cake or brownie, they were so soft. The peanut butter/chocolate combination in mine was just what I needed after a day walking around Prescott and hiking the local trails. My mom and dad both loved what they got, but my mom wished she hadn't gotten the red velvet cookie since she wished there were fewer white chocolate chunks in the cookie. The prices were great for the amount of food you got, the service was excellent, and the desserts are literally sinful they're so delicious.
