My not-so-full Orange Julius and one messy milkshake wanna be.
    Jim K.

Stopping by on my way home, I am craving an Orange Julius and my son asked for a S'mores milkshake. I read exactly how my son wanted it so I did not mess it up and ordered a medium Orange Julius. The kids working were nice and helpful and handled the line well. But my drank was 3/4 full and the "milkshake" was a mess. I get home and I am told it was a Blizzard and not a milkshake. My son he gets them all the time at this location. I called and the person said they would text their boss and leave a note and they would get in touch with me today. I wasn't waiting by my phone for the call, but waited to post this review until the end of the day. As of 5:08, still no call.

Pretty good, but the customers are jerks. Best to go when it isn't busy. The workers know their job and keep it moving.

I came here for lunch recently and had a very good experience!…read more Ordering was easy at the window with a nice big menu. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I went with a 1/4 lb burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. I asked for it as rare as they could make it and they cooked it nicely. The side of onion rings were great as well. They were nice and crispy! Plenty of seating to choose from here. They have picnic tables close to the order window and a good number of tables under a roof to keep you protected from the sun and weather. There's also a large ceiling fan in there for when the temps go up. Service was friendly! From the order taker to the order deliverer..everyone was smiling and pleasant. This is a really great spot to check out! I need to come back to explore the menu more; they have much more than just burgers. And of course, to try the ice cream!

I'm supportive of ALL small businesses everywhere & those who know me, know this. I just can't let people keep thinking that this is a "must try" spot? I decided to give this establishment a shot while driving back home. I was starving & told myself I'd finally be down to try Rose Dairy. First off, the staff on site this day didn't seem to want to be there what so ever. They didn't provide us with a receipt which is a norm to me, if ordering whether that's to stay or to-go. Before grabbing my food at their pick-up window, more patrons had started to come; making me think it must be good so let me be patient. The entire order was wrong, one way or another. There were no fries, when we ordered a combo. The "crispy chicken sandwich" had school like chicken tenders and I doubt adding anything to it would've made the taste any better. I tried to dip it in their "Mac sauce" which we payed for & it tasted like mayonnaise with a touch of color. I didn't take a picture of the "cheeseburger" which was just a beef patty on a bun, because they forgot all the toppings I asked them to add. The "fall dog" was basically a chili cheese hotdog, truly dreadful, & I wish I didn't have to say that. I've had plenty of chili cheese dogs before and this one was the worst, it was also FREEZING cold? I only walked like 7 feet to my table right next to where I picked it up..... I'm super disappointed, will not be returning not even for their mid flavored pumpkin shake which I didn't take a photo of because at that point I was pissed.

In a plaza with the YMCA, a Goodwill, and other shops and lunch choices, this Wayback Burger is hardly busy too. The lady that always greets us with a warm smile and flips our burgers is a delight too. We recently stopped in for a quick lunch. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. My husband got the Cajun Burger that had two patties, lettuce, tomato, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and a Cajun remoulade. I opted in for a Craft Your Own. Luckily, there were paper menus at the register that I could easily navigate the wide list of choices and toppings. I was happy to see that Wayback added Impossible Burgers to its menu. I was never a fan of their veggie burger. My Impossible Burger was topped with pepper jack cheese, mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapeños, pickles, lettuce, and the Cajun remoulade. I wanted my burger spicy! For our sides, we got regular fries and Fried Pickles that my husband and I shared. Surprisingly, the side portions were large. The burgers were juicy and filling. I loved the fried pickles and it also came with a ranch sauce. The chips were perfectly fried, juicy and had a lot of tanginess Wayback Burgers is a great option if you're are craving a burger--but don't want fast food or have time and money for a sit down restaurant. My husband and I left satisfied. We were too full to get one an awesome signature milkshake. They always have cool seasonal flavors and a long list of classics. But to be honest, I'm still thinking about the Fried Pickles!

What a secret little gem in the town of Cheshire CT. We…read morehave been going to Mabel's Tables since August of 2024 as we built a home here in Cheshire and moved in late October of '24. Introduced to Mabel's by our amazing agent (Calcagni Real Estate)... as a meeting-spot...we were sold the first day! Breakfast and lunch are always delicious and fresh!! They take care to make everything to exact orders and special dietary requirements!! The breads are always fresh as well as the sandwich meats, chicken cutlets and special salads!! A definite G in this era of fast-food, door-dash, etc. you'll want to sit and relax a moment and enjoy an actual 'Homestyle' meal with friendly people, smiles and laughter!! Don't let this 'Mom/Pop' place get away!!

I can understand why since Michaels built up so much goodwill for the business, however, Mabel has nothing to worry about. I didn't frequent Michaels very often because I didn't think they were all that friendly. If this first visit to Mabel's is any sign, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I engaged who I believe is the owner (Mabel?) in some conversation as she prepared my sandwich. She actually initially engaged me when she heard me order an egg salad sub. I asked what was in it and the person at the register said "onion and celery" and then said hold on a minute I think she's making it to order. That's when the owner stepped up and told me she likes to make it to order to keep it as fresh as possible and leaving out the celery and onion wasn't an issue. That one on one and the freshness of this sandwich will definitely have me returning more often. So, I ordered an egg salad grinder with lettuce, tomato and black olives. It came on a very fresh Italian sub roll and it was just delicious! You've never had anything fresher (see pic). Every sandwich comes with a choice of side. I got the Cole slaw. I'm super picky about slaw. This was a very good slaw. Nothing but fresh cabbages and a light dressing (that I don't know ingredients of). They also bake their own muffins and cookies so of course I had to get one of each. I got a chocolate chip cookie and a pistachio chocolate chip muffin. The cookie was ok. The chocolate chips were very good but the cookie itself was too "Italian bakery cookie"-like. I haven't had the muffin yet but will update once I have. Just one suggestion, It would be nice if they would add some additional vegan/vegetarian sandwich options. There are so many great meat (protein) alternatives available now that having a vegan chicken sandwich or burger should be standard at all places like this.

There were a few tables to eat, but we took our meal to-go. Frankies started to get busy quick after we ordered since it was nearing lunch hour on a Sunday. My husband has had Frankies before at another location, looking forward to getting some Chicken Wings--unfortunately, they were out and he pivoted his choice for a Fried Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. I got a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and provolone cheese. We also got Curly Fries and Waffle Fries. The menu is very simple with hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, fried seafood like clam strips or shrimp. There were even lobster rolls and every kind of fry; steak, curly, and waffle! Our food was prepared quickly and held up well since it was to-go. My grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and waffle fries were fine. This Frankies does close early on Sundays at 4:00pm. We will be back at Frankies again, hopefully my husband will get his Chicken Wings next time.
