Inside had its own charm. A few locals tucked into fries, a pair of lads by the window treating Dr Peppers like proper pints, and a cowboy tapping his boots to the radio like he owned the place. It was no steakhouse, but it had character. I ordered the Bacon Wrangler. Hot, heavy, and stacked like it had something to prove. Two beef patties, bacon crisp enough to snap, cheese melting into the lot, onion strings giving it crunch, and that chipotle sauce tying it all together. It was not just food, it was rescue in a paper wrapper. The service was exactly what you want at 9pm in small-town Texas. Quick, polite, and straight to the point. No nonsense, no waiting about. On my way back to the car I spotted a scruffy cat by the dumpster. Looked like it had seen better days, but it carried itself like it still owned the night. Reminded me that at some point we are all that cat, a little worn down, just trying to find our next meal and a warm spot to rest.

I printed their menu from their website so a few coworkers and I could take a look and see what we may want. I decided to try the Cheese Sticks for $8, a side order of Mac & Cheese and a side order of Rosemary-Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My coworker wrote down a meal that she wanted and our driver was on his way. Upon his arrival, I was disappointed to get a call stating they had no Cheese Sticks on their menu. I was confused. I was also informed that they didn't have any mashed potatoes. Welp! There's that. They also had no Mac & Cheese. I ended up just getting the French fries. Attention: Billy Bob's, if things are no longer on your menu, PLEASE consider removing them from your online menu/website. Blessings!

Well my husband questioned that saying "they have them all over" knowing where different locations were around SA area. Well we needed breakfast on Sunday morning before our grocery run. And this place just happens to be across from H‑E‑B. So El Rodeo won! This is the first for me... Their refried beans were so delicious and so full of flavor! The Migas Nortenes was huge, I brought home leftovers. Sunday mornings are super busy. My second visit on a Saturday evening, was perfectly not so busy which was good for me as it's one of those places that are echo loud and overwhelming when crowded. Service was great both times. It might as well have been cardboard, even the fries were unremarkable. (Sad, considering that McDonalds used to be known for delicious fries.) Secondly, the service was slow, and equally flat. The staff, what we saw of them, were simply going through the motions. There was no greeting on arrival, ordering was from a kiosk (I understand this, but in this case it seems to be a detriment to customer service), food service was SLOW, and the order was presented as if even that was a terrible chore.

Myself along with some other officer specifically sent an officer to pick up our order during that window. Unfortunately, the location did not honor the promotion for the mozzarella sticks. The officer stated, "mozzarella sticks from the dollar deal." In which the Sonic worker said, YES. Ok." But STILL charged the Officer for 3- small orders of mozzarella sticks which totaled $12.57. It felt misleading since we planned our lunch around the advertised deal. When I called Sonic, there was no apologizes. They just went into defense mode. I couldn't understand, if the officer was ordering corn dogs and pretzels from the dollar deal why would they even assume (if they wasn't clear) that the mozzarella sticks wouldn't be from the dollar deal?. Especially when they were already informed. We hope Sonic can improve communication and consistency when running promotions, as this experience was a letdown. It says a lot about your 1.4 rating. So I got in my car and drove the 20 minutes to the Walmart store where the subway shop is located. I walked in and 2 ladies working. I had to get their attention, as they were not pay attention to a customer coming into the store. I asked whey they were not answering the phone. All they did was walk over to the phone and tried to see if they had calls. I told them it was too late so why check the phone?? Then I asked if I could get two sandwich trays made for a funeral. They said NO you have to give us 24 hrs. notice. So I said OK. do you have a tray of cookies. They said Yes, so I purchased the advertised tray of 36 cookies and paid for them. Said it would be 10 minutes. so did my shopping in walmart & on the way out stopped to pick up the cookies. they were not in a tray as advertised. They were in separate little bags in a larger bag. When I asked why the cookies were not on a tray the response was "we don't have trays" . Not an i am sorry or any sort of apology . When I got home to put them on a tray, they were all stuck together, as the ladies had taken them out of the oven and put them in bags while they were still hot. Needless to say I was not happy.
