Food was ok. I mean it's mc Donald's. No one at counter and had to use the machine. Thats fine. But it had an issue. Push for help. Went to wait at counter. No one came. Had my granddaughter and it was being cleaned so she couldn't play. But we waited for our food and someone to help over 30 min. The kid mopping was still mopping the same section the entire time. Many people working no one inside but one couple and no line outside so I didn't understand why no one came to help us. Ridiculous. Drive here for the play place for my grandbaby. We ended up going to the park. Now I see why the reviews for here are terrible. But it was clean. Service is just terrible. read more

Let me begin by saying that it's a McDonald's, so I don't have expectations of a 4 star meal. First, the food was tasteless. It might as well have been cardboard, even the fries were unremarkable. (Sad, considering that McDonalds used to be known for delicious fries.) Secondly, the service was slow, and equally flat. The staff, what we saw of them, were simply going through the motions. There was no greeting on arrival, ordering was from a kiosk (I understand this, but in this case it seems to be a detriment to customer service), food service was SLOW, and the order was presented as if even that was a terrible chore. read more

I went inside and orders because the drive through was wrapped around the building at 9:45 pm. I ordered on the kiosk because nobody came to take my order. I stood there for 15 min before someone came to tell me that they don't have the coffees I ordered. They added 25 min to my 6 hour drive and then couldn't figure out how to refund my meal. read more

Restaurant staff was great. Food and price not so great. Ordered a Big Mac meal and a McChicken crispy meal. Big Mac was over cooked almost to the point of being cremated. Chicken was soggy not crispy and was just a piece of meat with a pickle on top. No condiments on sandwich or in bag. Now to the price. $18.16 for two crappy sandwiches that would have cost half that or less just a couple of years ago. So one more restaurant chain added to my no-go list. Worst location ever. On my last visit i had to go back to this location 3 TIMES for them to correct an order they made incorrectly. drove back a second time for the correction of two burgers and a fry and then the third time because they didn't put one of the burgers in the bag. This was roughly two weeks ago ..finally decided to try again tonight and waited in the drive thru for about an hour. (and i placed my order online).. although my order was "correct" i'm very disappointed. the first nugget i bit into i got a big piece of cartilage and lost my appetite and didn't touch the rest. Just ate my fries and finally on to the pie..my favorite part..and it's hollow. The filing is missing in the center of the pie. Ordered two happy meals with apples and milk. They came. It was only a burger and a toy. I went back up to get milk and apples. They had spilled a bunch of straws and i helped them pick up. Then they helped the customer after me instead of me. When they decided to help me, they went back and got apples an brought them out and gave them to someone else. They were all very friendly, just strange and slow and inconvenient. read more

Ohhh man.. What an experience. The practices in this McDonald's had me cracking up. So check this out.....on the soda machine is a sign that says, "Due to the amount of people asking for water and then getting soda all water cups are $1.00" Ohhh good lord.. Soda is cheap first all, so no matter how large this crime ring of people ripping off soda from McDonalds I don't see it really effecting the bottom line. The freaking cup is more expensive than the soda... Instead of a sign that berates the very people giving you money, why don't you just use clear cups? (Insert Light bulb sound here) There must have been a crime ring of straw thieves as well, because you have to ask the people behind the counter for the straw. So of course the rest of their paying customers have to be inconvenienced because a small group of people that will always look for loop holes. So even though I am sure they know they are treating the people that keep them in business like children, after all that they have the audacity to put a bell up in the dining room and tell people to ring it if they had good customer service. Worst location ever! They will pile up cars in the reserved area so they can meet their "sales quota", and forget you're even there. The managers are under trained and over paid. Not to mention they are rude and treat their employees horribly! Regina is by far the absolute worst person. I've witnessed her on serveral occasions talk down to her employees as if they were garbage. They can't keep staff in the evenings and I believe it's 100% because of her. Throwing tantrums where customers can see and hear. I've had workers at both windows tell me they hate their job. On average, I wait about 30-40 minutes at this location for dinner. Alright so I went in with my 3 friends(2 of them were guys and the other was a girl and she was dating one of the guys) so the guys went and sat down at our table while us lady's ordered our food. We were greeted by a man named Elija. He was very kind to me when I ordered, and then my friend went to talk to him and he was flirting with her. So we ignored it and walked back to our table. She told her boyfriend what had happened while we ate our food. He wanted to talked to him so he went up there cause he also needed sauce. Elija was rude to him, his girlfriend came up and hugged him and Elija was rude once again. So we decided to leave. Well my friends returned once again and they were greeted by Elija at the drive thru window. Again... he was very rude to both the boy and the girl. I stopped by this McDonald's on a Wednesday night and spent about an hour there with my three year old daughter. It was my second time there. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Blaine was great, actually. He brought our food to our table instead of just yelling out our receipt number and making us go to the counter. A little while into our visit, he even returned with a sundae and said somebody had made it by accident and offered it to me for my daughter -- on the house, of course. The food was what you would expect from McDonald's and the place has a large indoor play area for the kids, though the actual play area (with the crawl thru house) was a bit small. Still, were I living in Hondo, I wouldn't mind having a kid's birthday party there. I read another review that mentioned a sign on the soda fountain, but didn't see any such sign, though the bell for great service was there. All in all, I had a little better experience during this visit to a McDonald's, mainly due to the staff -- especially Blaine and the great service we got. (I didn't ring the bell though, but I never do. Heh) read more

Cold cheese burger - which usually isn't a big deal... I just have them throw it in the microwave in the wrapper - it comes out warm and the cheese is actually melted. But today - at this particular McDs the manager refused - I've been to many McDonald's and never had anyone refuse this simple request. I think this manager was more interested in doing as little work as possible and less interested in keeping customers happy. Not a big deal - I'll just be passing this McDonald's by in the future in favor of one that will actually help the customer. read more

Food was cold and waited way too long for being there with only one other customer. I showed the cashier my military card and the manager said we don't give military discounts. Didn't even try to see just said no. So I won't be back I passing this on to the rest of my military family not to frequent this place if they are not military friendly read more

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast on our way to San Antonio. There was one person in line ahead of me, but ordering was delayed because two people were trying to figure out some problem with a customer's receipt. My order went in at 10:11 am ... pretty simple, a sandwich and big breakfast and two oj's. Then I waited, and waited, and waited while they spent all their time serving the people in the drive through. Cars that drove in after I placed my order, received their orders ahead of me. One of the servers admitted they always take care of the drive-through first. I've never felt so insulted at some stupid fast food place. Apparently, if you walk in to dine, you are less important because there is some method of evaluating the efficiency of the drive-through that isn't used at the inside counter. So, if you want to dine inside, I suggest you use the drive-through to 'cut in line' and then carry your food in to sit and eat. I will not be returning. Friends tell me the DQ in town has a good breakfast. read more
