I revisited and took a friend with me : ) This time we stayed for lunch and had to try their coffees and well known sandwiches. We were greeted by the same friendly employee when I visited the prior week, and she gave us each a stamp punch card - after so many you get a freebie coffee. FYI they also serve smoothies, not posted yet, and they can make them dairy free! My friend and I shared a Rueben sandwich and chicken salad croissant. Great flavors, but for me the Rueben shined! Lots of flavor. $1 more. My decaf latte with oat milk ($2 extra) and sugar free Belgian cookie syrup was nice. The price for the oat milk was steep, I don't think I've ever paid that much extra. I may skip it next time and go for the caffeine free teas. I ordered a hippie bar and honey glazed pecans to go. I really enjoyed the hippie bar- peanut butter, gluten free oats, chia, seeds, and dried cranberries. Lots of seating inside. There's a conference room- free of charge for ministry meetings and a mic area up front. The owner stopped by our table and greeted us, I just love supporting this local fam owned business. Oh and when we visited the women's restroom... I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful sky ceiling and bird sounds. So soothing and relaxing... I felt like I was transported to a gorgeous serene garden. Big smile on my face! read more

My husband and I recently moved to Hondo and this is def our go to place for sandwiches/lunch and I love their specialty meats and cold coffee! The sandwiches are real deli style, large and they pile them high with meat etc. it's always clean and quiet and we can actually hear each other talk. Service is always super sweet and someone always seems to be cleaning something. Can't wait to drop off our deer here this season too! Keep up the great work! read more

The food and coffee were very good, although the coffee flavor was on the light side. The breakfast bar was tasty but crumbly. I got the chicken salad on croissant and it was very good. My friend got the Rueben and it was also very good. Lots of searing, nice ambiance, clean restrooms. They rent the space out and have a mic for meetings or music and also a separate room for rent too. Kind of an unusual set up with the meat market/bakery/lunch/coffee hangout but it works. read more

Nice coffee shop! Con: lattes were not hot, but just warm. Muffin tasted day-old; probably just needed to be warmed. Pros: lots of selections, coffees, teas, pastries, and (surprise!) a meat market with lots of choices! Everything from beef steaks , burgers, pork, sausages, bacon, chicken (even MardiGras chicken!), and lots of exotic meats also. Butter and cheese and Fresh eggs! We will certainly be back! Just last night moved 15 mins from here and was in desperate need of some coffee (hadn't gotten around to unpacking the kitchen and had a newborn who woke me up at 6:45 AM haha!) I found this gem on Yelp and I'm so glad I came in! I ordered a 20 oz. Butter pecan hot latte and a chocolate chip muffin. Both were absolutely delicious. The chocolate chip muffin had so many chocolate chips and the latte was sweetened just the right amount. The cashier who took my order was so sweet as well, I didn't get her name but she was friendly! Ambiance is cute, kind of modern rustic. Comfy couches for me and baby to sit on. They also have outdoor seating if you wish to sit outside but it is overcast out right now so I stayed indoors :) I also noticed they have a meeting room you can rent out for a small party. They have loads of meat options to choose from to take home and grill and a few extra little snack options. Pretty Awesome place. Has a variety of coffees (my personal favorite is Machiato). When we started coming here will you would sit outside and enjoy of the food. Things have changed to the better now there's dining in and it's a beautiful setting. It's so personal and I love it. This plane is clean and kept up very nicely. The food is outstanding. I'm really excited about this unique little meat market in Hondo. You're sure to pick up something you didn't expect when you walked in the door. I walked out with quail eggs!, which I hope to cook up tomorrow. The shop keeper will gladly explain all the varieties of prepared and frozen packages in an assortment of meats: beef, buffalo, venison, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey and quail and many others. There are are at least 6 or 7 sausage types to choose from. When asked about an all-beef option, the shop keeper admitted to not having it, but was genuinely interested in the reasons for the request. Fresh farm eggs are available along with fresh farm vegetables from local farmers. Home-baked pies and candies also lined the shelves. I really liked this place and I will be sure to stop by when I'm passing through Hondo. read more

I was in the middle of a long haul and Very much in need of caffeine, checked this place out on Google and figured I would give it a try. It was a hidden gem that deserves more attention. They had a great selection of local goods, specialty cut meats, candies, cakes, desserts, and other goodies. The coffee is excellent, the espresso was not overly bitter and they had a big selection of flavors to add. The staff was really friendly and was quick to get the coffee back out to us so we could get back on the road. Will make it a point to stop in again the next time I'm out that way. read more
