Didn't realize it was chicken fried steak, I thought it was chicken. The clerk was nice enough to switch my order and I'm glad I did. I got the burger with the fried jalapeño on it. Delicious! The onion rings were good too. The only thing about the burger was the bun was a little scorched. Although I appreciated the fact that they grilled the bun, that was an added touch. Where do I start. The clue should have been the "Help needed all positions" on the billboard. From start to finish, a terrible and stressful experience. About the only thing good were the 3 desserts, but this is DQ, how can you mess those up? Orders were painfully slow; we spent an hour in this restaurant. We finally had to go up to the counter and ask after 30 minutes and none of our ice creams were ready, the food was and had been sitting. We then asked for our ice creams to be made and there was another 15 minutes. The cashier disappeared for 5 to 10 minutes at one point. The dining area needed attention, there were no napkins, the soap dispenser in the men's room was out, and there were no medium lids for drinks. The kitchen workers were playing around and laughing, with one throwing a food item into the wall! When we finally left, the drive thru was stretched around the building. You would think I had learned better. The last visit was a train wreck, and things haven't changed. Restrooms are atrocious, filthy, automated water faucet at sink isn't working properly. One counter person working drive thru and front counter. Waited way too long for service inside. Cook just looked at us and didn't even acknowledge us at the counter. One young man was so nice and helpful, but overall experience was so bad. They don't do curbside correctly...no signs on where to park, so we parked right up front and entered our car info. Sat there for 15 mins, which was the time given in the app, then went inside to check. Our order was ready but they didn't make our blizzards because we ordered a pumpkin pie and they said they don't have it. So it shouldn't have been a choice in the app and they should have come out and told us that!! So I picked a different blizzard, they handed me my blizzards and 2 boxes of food, but I had to ask for my drinks or we wouldn't have gotten those. Get out to the car and double check that we got sauce only to find my gravy laying on the side with the lid off, so the bottom of the box is soggy and gravy is everywhere. So back inside I go. The young man at the register was so nice and helpful. He handed it back to a young girl to be fixed. She re-packaged it then just set it up in the window. So it sat there while a family of 6 ordered. So what should have been a quick 10 minute stop turned into a more than 30 minute detour. read more

The cashier was pretty awful. Started at me after she put her employee code in the computer and I had to greet her she didn't really respond and then I had to ask if she was ready. Very strange interaction. I said thank you twice and she never said anything other than do you want to add anything else. I suggest to just drive the Schulenburg location they are much nicer there. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. They are charging more for items than what the menu says. It happened to me and to a visitor to the area. When confronted about charging too much, I was just told that is what the manager says to charge and is what he put into the cash register. When I told them I wanted to pay what the menu says and wanted to speak to a manager, was told there was no manager on duty. This has happened over about a month so it's not about not having time to change the menu. I would give this place a below zero rating if I could. read more

But, that shouldn't be any excuse to be served re-deep fried fries.. and then today I stupidly go back and I specifically stated NO veggies. The lady over the intercom confirmed just meat and cheese, no veggies. And my response was "correct". I get to my destination over 10 miles away and it looks like my burger had been ran over and it has onions on it. This will be the last time going to this location. It's sad that hardly nobody takes pride in what they do any longer. How stupid do you have to be to not be able to read the screen right in front of your face literally telling you what to put on the burger? First time attempting to go to this Dairy Queen and inside was closed, but no sign and doors were locked. Tried the drive through and had to ask several times if someone was available. Then received a response from some woman that started with "Excuse you!" And proceeded to tell me that they were experiencing technical difficulties and to come back in 15 minutes! After that rude response I will never return to this Dairy Queen and will ensure management is aware of this location's treatment of customers! read more

It was late, maybe 20 minutes before closing and we pulled up to the drive through to order. Service was prompt and very friendly. I ordered a hunger buster with cheese, this was probably the best burger I've had from Dairy Queen anywhere. Veggies were fresh and crispy, meat was hot, tasty with melted cheese. YES! Absolutely LOVE that this Dairy Queen is open late. It's open much later than the other Dairy Queen's along the I-10. It's the perfect stop for a quick snack between Houston and San Antonio, although it's just a bit further of a drive from the exit. Strangely, ever single time I've stopped here - the blizzards are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha!!! Now that's the kinda deal that gets me excited! Try the banana cream pie. Wow. I also recommend oreo or even mint oreo. The chocolate covered cherry is fantastic - love how that chocolate gives it a little crunch. And take a look at their menu! It's seriously the biggest DQ menu I've ever seen. They have the usual fare, but they also have tater tots and panini sandwiches! So tasty. Service inside and thru the drive thru is fast and friendly. The women's bathroom isn't too bad either if you need to make a stop. Skip McDonalds. Skip the gas station fare. Stop at Dairy Queen. This looks like a fairly new location. The restrooms are nice and clean. The food is super tasty and fresh. The burgers are juicy and filling. The fries were cooked perfectly. The only thing slower than getting the food was getting someone to take out order (no one in the restaurant and no one in the drive through). 10 min to be noticed, 8 min for one dipped cone and two blizzards.
