It's Dairy Queen Folks! We were immediately greeted, and the lady who took our order was pleasant and attentive -- I think she was the manager. The seating area was clean and everything seemed pretty well organized. The burgers were just okay, and the fries were a little older than we like. But the onion rings? Spot on! Horrible customer service. 4 other DQs in the area, go there and be blissfully happy! The service has never been stellar, but these people simply do not care at all anymore. After sitting in line for 15 minutes (other DQs have people pull to the side), we were served out Blizzard. Whole info understand the "famous slip" is up the franchisee.... This restaurant has done the flip every time we have been here for 12 years. We notices our ice cream had been sitting waiting, like us, for quote some time! The Blizzard flip is not a problem when it's 55 degrees outside and made fresh. Knowing there was a soupy mess in the cup, the lady was absolutely hell bent that she WAS NOT going to flip the cup! I'm always a fan of Dairy Queen because I rarely have anything less than great experiences. This one is clean on the inside and outside, the staff work in uniform and wear their name badges, and are happy and polite. Dairy Queen ice cream is my favorite soft serve in the universe. Jalisco Ranch burger is my favorite hamburger in the universe. Their onion rings are way superior to the place that you have to stop and push the red button to get someone to take your order. read more

My sister and went to DQ specifically for the onions rings. I ordered a #1 with onion rings and made it a large. My sister ordered the same thing and 1 order of jalitos . When the girl Makayla brought out our food I had French fries. I told her that I ordered onion rings. She told me that I would have to pay the difference since our meal already cost $26.02! I said since you messed up I have to pay for it? Yep they were going to make me pay for it! But I guess since I made the girl cry for her mistake they gave my money back. And when the manager brought out my onion rings she threw them on the table at me. So I went inside and I saw they were busy so I told my self I was going to be calm!So I ordered and I stood in line for like 35 min and I ordered a vanilla ice cream cone and a mini mint Oreo ice cream. So after like 45 min they gave me only my Oreo ice cream. So I waited in like for like another 10min and a worker said can I help you and I said yea and ice cream cone. Where's the blizzard? I ordered 4 mini blizzards today. There was maybe 2.5 mini blizzards worth of ice cream. All 4 were served 3/4" from the top! Where did the blizzards go that used to be sticking up on the sides. Very disappointing. We might try this DQ again, but it will be a bit. Not going back until I've given enough time for training on how to make a blizzard. This is not COVID related. It's a training issue. They all had great flavor, but paying over $12.... Went inside to order a blizzard and a sundae and it was obvious they were busy so I didn't mind waiting. I stood by the counter and watched them fuss with the ice cream machine, change out trash bags, take ice cream to the other customers, especially the drive thru, yet I was ignored even though the manager and 4 other employees were 6 ft away from me. I finally lost it and asked why the drive thru customers were getting their orders but I wasn't. The manager mumbled a "sorry" and I asked for a refund. She gave me a refund while all the other employees stood around mutely, including the guy who had taken my order. When I got back in the car, I realized I had stood there for over 20 minutes waiting. I called in an order one time and the boy who answered the phone told somebody that I have a another F****** call in order. I asked for the manager when he came back on and the girl who was there gave me the phone number to the actual manager and I called her needless to say the next time I went there that boy did not work there anymore. we have come to this Dairy Queen multiple times and the only time the staff act professional, is if there's an adult actually working with them. Bizzare experience... I stopped by yesterday for a blizzard. It was served with an unwrapped spoon inserted in the cup. Not great, but not a big deal. The issue was the spoon smelled awful, like someone had licked it or sneezed on it. It was something I've never experienced and it was disturbing. I went to the store in Decatur instead of Bridgeport because of terrible service at that location. I won't be visiting any Dairy Queen in this area again. read more

If I could give this location zero stars, I totally would do so. We recently moved to Decatur and I wanted a blizzard tonight. We pull up and order our blizzards. We decided what we wanted (small mint Oreos blizzard and a small salted caramel truffle blizzard), told the person, and was rudely given our total. No repeated order back to us. Not very friendly, if you ask me. We pull up the the window and she hands up 2 small m&m blizzards. We handed them back and let her know that's not what we had ordered. She seemed irritated by us. Another girl walked up to the window and insisted that's what we ordered, we told her that's not what we ordered, she rolled her eyes, sighed, and slammed the window closed. Went to make what we actually ordered and only got one of them right the second time. We will not be returning to this location. I really like Dairy Queen, but this one needs major work. My meal, chicken strip basket, was good like always. But my blizzard was basically melted by the time I got it, the lady didn't even attempt to turn it upside down because it would have poured out it was completely disappointing. The place was a mess!
