Tried again, it's been awhile. They are now using the app, but don't eat the onion rings or the cheese curds because they are nasty. Hard, must of fried too long, taste's horrible. Cheeseburgers, yes! Blizzards, yes please! Shakes, sure! Hope to one day give you more stars. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Dairy Queen. After paying for my food and receiving a receipt, I was unexpectedly told to leave the premises and was denied both entry and access to the food I had already purchased. I returned multiple times with proof of purchase, including my receipt, but was still refused service and denied the food I had paid for. It was not until the fourth attempt, after my wife personally contacted the manager, that I was finally allowed back inside and given my order. As someone who has worked as a General Manager for several restaurant chains, I found this situation completely unacceptable. The level of unprofessionalism, disorganization, and lack of customer service displayed by the staff was shocking. Customers should never be denied access to food they have already paid for, especially when they can provide proof of purchase. This experience reflects poor management, inadequate employee training, and a disregard for basic customer service standards. I hope ownership and management address these issues to ensure no other customer is treated this way in the future. I will be contacting "American Dairy Queen Corporation" for further reviews and discussion Can't believe a fast food joint such as " 2710 PACIFIC BLVD SE Albany, OR 97321" would allow this... this is definitely poor management!!!!!!! Not to mention the altercation I had with a Red headed gal that was the "manager" for this location balled up and threw my receipt at me Very sad I'll make sure to tell All of my family and friends to never dine here again!!! Very sad!!!! read more

Very over priced for 2 of the smallest ice cream cones I have ever gotten at a DQ. Handed it to my husband and he even asked if I ordered the kids size! I should have went to a regular ice cream shop to get my monies worth! Also disorganized at the process of making the orders. An employee carried 3 cups with some ingredients in her arms against her shirt to another area to get more ingredients then to go back to the other area I guess to finish. Was not feeling the disorganization and the unsanitary way of moving the product being created! read more

Overpriced and took forever to come out. When it finally came it was cold. No salt in fries. Also very soggy.

Went to the dairy Queen in Willamette Oregon and they only slightly messed up the order. We asked for a plain chicken sandwich and we had to return because it's an allergy issue. It was only 2 chicken strips in a bun not a chicken patty which was a bit depressing. I asked for no ice in my drink and they put ice in but really the worst part was more bacon bits than chicken in my chicken salad. I did not even realize it came with bacon bits and probably will not order it again if I can't get it without . The pretzels and cheese curds were very good. read more

The service at the drive-thru was FAST. 3 cars were in front of us, but we were out of there in a couple minutes. The 3 Blizzards and 1 cone tasted great. The cone crispiness was superb. We initially shied away since the place had only 1.9 stars. We first tried Hasty Freeze, but their line was too slow. Glad we gave this DQ a chance. We'll be back. read more

Good ice cream but very poor service and very rude employees especially at night and it seems all the employees are female

This place has a horrible business management system . I have never been to a single fast food or Dairy Queen that takes a hour to get a blizzard They must have one of the worst leadership in fast food history . The Dairy Queen franchise should look into this store because it's not making ur brand look good . read more

This DQ is APPALLING!!!!! First and foremost.. I went to this failure of a location earlier this week for a blizzard. After waiting countless lifetimes in the drive thru, I was finally handed my blizzard.. I immediately noticed an off smell to my little ice cream treat.. I have never been given something with such a disturbing odor... I tried a bite of the blizzard and it was RANCID.. It tasted EVIL!!!!! I would've been better off eating rotten milk. I have NEVER felt more disgusted with a dining location. This was criminal... This joke of a business establishment needs to be looked into for poor food safety practices. They are lucky I don't get in contact with my legal team. Also.. this location..or should I say hell... .REFUSES to accept usage of the app. What kind of fraudster owns a location that wont even use the companys app??? This guy must be a real stingy guy to pass up on such a useful tool. . Anyways I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate authorities.. I no longer trust this DQ.. MY voice needs to be heard.. and this sad sad place needs to be shut down or handed off to a new business man that will understand how to nurture the workplace in a way that will allow for it to succeed.. I would do it myself if I thought this place could be redeemed .. For now I just have to watch from the sidelines.... but I will be watching. DQ YOU HAVE LOST MY TRUST! REPECT! AND MONEY!!!!! read more

The entire serving and eating area was clean-clean-clean. The employees were friendly and the service was great. We had the best "Peanut Butter Parfaits" ever!! It was just the right mix of peanuts and chocolate to compliment their delicious vanilla ice cream. We added an order of fries to top off our treat. We just could not have been any more satisfied with the service and our order. The seating area is ideal with big windows all around to watch the hustle-bustle of traffic going by as you relax and enjoy the view. JoanneJ. read more

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - We waited in line for 25mins to hear that they were understaffed and couldn't serve anything but soda and ice cream. - Fast Food Near Me - Albany, Oregon

The wait was absolutely horrible, drive thru took 45 mins for a sundae. The employees were nice for only two people working yet it took sooooo long! By the time I got my ice cream it was completely melted. Very disappointing experience. Again, employees were very kind. I see that the manager has responded to everyone the same way over the years just saying sorry hope you have a better experience and to come back. Instead of talking do better and take action. read more

This DQ is super slow, but it's okay 'cause DQ Blizzards are the best ever. So don't come starving and be prepared to wait in the drive thru a little bit. Pandemic info: Lobby is closed. Drive thru is open. The line has been super long every night! Instead of entering at the DQ entrance, enter at the bank entrance to the south to make more room for the line so people don't have to get stuck in the road. read more

Im not trying to be a Karen but this is ridiculous. $7.58 for a cheese burger basket w/ bacon. I wouldnt be upset if it was actually worth the almost $8, but there where barley any fries and taste like pure oil. On the bright side of things the burger is decently sized and tastes great no complaint there. Also very slow going through the drive through. And the lady at the window was very nice. read more

If I could give this Dairy Queen negative stars I would. I have been here numerous times and I really wonder why I ever go back. The hot food is usually tasty, but if you order a meal you better order extra fries because you hardly get any. Every time I order ice cream they mess it up. I ordered a banana split and you couldn't even see the ice cream, just the fruit topping. So the next visit I thought I'd try ordering a large sundae instead thinking I'd get some ice cream this time but no, again hardly any ice cream. I don't think I'll be going back again when there are plenty other options for desserts around town. Maybe somewhere where I'll actually get my moneys worth. I paid a small fortune here for disappointment. read more

Waited in drive thru for 1/2 hour and the food was undersized and overdone. Wish I had read these reviews first, as it seems to be a consistent message. So, I went back today to ask to speak with owner/ manager. Waited INSIDE for 15 minutes before I reached the counter (2 customers ahead of me) and I got to see the Keystone Cops in action. Workers were running into each other, dropping orders on the floor, etc. Finally, I speak to the manager on duty. It was like I inconvenienced him! His attitude was as close to "why the @$% should I care?" And his literal reply was, "well what fo you want me to do about it? " Negative stars. read more

IF I COULD GIVE NO STAR I WOULD!!! Absolutely would never come back. Our experience was definitely an experience. First walk in the tables have multiple guests with no food with receipts on the table waiting for their order. They were bringing random food boxes out yelling what's in them expecting everyone to claim them. Oh my word! When we got our food one of the boxes with chicken strips had no heat to them what so ever !!!! I got 10 fries with my medium order and same with 2 of the others and one had almost a full box. Um. Wait wait. My burger had 2 gross 1 inch pieces of tomatoes same with onion the whole bottom was full of grease. One of the blizzards did not get turned upside down. (I wonder why) it was soup! Not a thick cup of ice cream! No wonder the rest of these reviews suck! HEY OWNERS. FIGURE OUT YOUR RESTAURANT I SHOULD'VE REQUESTED A REFUND!!!! read more

The SLOWEST fast food drive through I've ever been in. Took 35 minutes to get 8 cars through the drive thru. In-N-Out or McDonald's would have gotten 20+ cars through in that time period. Food was fine and the order wasn't messed up, otherwise this place would be 1 Star. read more

Actually went inside to order a couple orange Julius drinks, thinking it might be faster. Turned out to be a good decision. Came in to see a place truly understaffed for a 5 o'clock rush, there was one girl on the register, and one on the drive-thru. But even though, I was able to get my order without too much of a wait. Order was correct with no errors. There were several areas of concern, like the lack of hairnets or any food safe gloves being worn. The kid on the counter was there strictly to take your order and make you food. Customer service and moral seem pretty low. Also there was an older man milling about behind the counter, realized he was bringing change for the registers, No uniform, no smiles, or cusomer acknowledgement, to anyone really. Employees were not speaking , vibe was very tense and stressfull. If I as a customer felt that, I feel bad for the kids who work there. Also because counter person was desperately trying to stay ahead of customer orders, cleanliness was very lacking. Lastly I would say that if the management could offer some positive training to employees, have more staff present at busy times, and some electronic upgrades ( each register should have it's own debit/credit card reader) things would hopefully be a bit more efficient. Build moral by building a team of people who work together, and can have a strong focus on great customer service. An employee is only as good as their manager teaches them to be. read more

Well... the food was good. Quality Dairy Queen. But holy guacamole. Choose the drive through because that's where the service is at. In a ratio of 3 to 1. Nothing against the staff, this is a management problem. read more

This location is very slow most of the time. There always seems to be a lack of staff inside. If you go through the drive thru you'll see about 2 girls running their asses off inside. This place will rock your socks off. Top notch customer service. Highly recommend there lobster blizzard! THEY USE REAL STUFF NOT IMITATION

This is very nice establishment thank you very much. When people talk about the short wait times they're not exaggerating this was one of the fastest and Highest quality customer service experiences I've ever experienced at a Dairy Queen. Our culture has several examples of this story: You find yourself in a seemingly simple set of physical boundaries - a town's limits, the walls of a house, the end of a day - and realize that the object in question has no intention of letting you leave its perimeters without a fight. Exhibits A, B, and C: Nothing But Trouble (1), House of Leaves, Groundhog's Day. Might I submit another artifact to the genre? Exhibit D: That one time we took a side trip to the DQ in Albany and could not find a way out of Albany. I know very little about the city of Albany. I know that it is located near the Calapooia River, which just cracks me up to say out loud. But here is a silver of ice-cold truth that Professor Wikipedia won't tell you - it is frickin hard to navigate your way out of Albany once you're in. I could have ended up in a nearby mobile home park with five kids named Bubba. Only by the grace of GPS did I manage to escape this fate. But was the potential landslide into a wholly different life worth it for the kid's meal of chicken fingers, fries, and a - oh baby - Girl Scout Thin Mint Blizzard for under $5? Almost. Maybe I like the name Bubba, all right? Bubba Blizzard V., I shall meet up with you some other time, just not in that city. (1) Seriously, while my group and I attempted to find our way through the illogical zig-zag of streets that lead back to the I-5, one person tried to recall the name of the movie and nobody in the car could remember it. It drove us nuts and distracted us from our probable life detainment in Albany. It took approximately nine calls to various friends, including Yelp's own Danielle K, to figure out what the hell that movie is called. And now, we must watch it religiously to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. read more

We were on I-5 and craving milkshakes so we took a detour and found this old DQ. The guy took our order and said that the machines were down after we told him everything and wasted time. It must've been a young kid who needed better training because he ended the order with, "there is nothing I can do for you anymore." We just started laughing at our luck and drove away. With plans never to return to Albany's DQ of disappointment. Thanks Obama. read more

This place is horrible, really it is, heres whats wrong with it. For starters the service is extremely slow, and i mean VERY SLOW you could watch paint dry faster in a rain storm. The alternation between the older woman who works there and the array off high school girls is horrible they act like its a struggle to do their jobs and make fast food very slow and inefficient. You literally place your order then have to wait at least 15 mins to get it even if your at the front of the drive thru longer if theres a pile up of cars. They dont tell you that theyre out of something till you get to the front of the line (window) then ask if you want something else that isnt the same. For example i went there for some soft serve a staple of dairy queen, plain good old fashioned vanilla soft serve. There was a line of 3 cars in front of me so i was prepared to wait forever, i placed my order, the older woman said NOTHING about being out. Then i get to the front of the line after a good 30 minutes and she tells me they're out of vanilla soft serve? something that is literally in over 50% of their frozen treats? Really? And this couldn't be brought to my attention when i was at the drive thru ordering board? Then she asked if i wanted chocolate, i find chocolate disgusting, and if i would have wanted something else i think i would have made that decision at the board before placing my order. Very disappointing to say the least. Another time i ordered some blizzards and the highschool girls working there were too busy flirting with the fry cook to make the frozen treats, then when they had time out of their busy socializing schedule they graced me with their presence and finally made my order, and messed one of them up and took EVEN longer to make it. So i had one blizzard melting while they were effing around trying to make the other, exactly what i wanted right. Then i went here to get my daughter a simple grilled cheese kids meal. The grilled cheese at dairy queen is suppose to be put on panini bread and on the press. They decided to use their texas toast and put it on the grill not even long enough to toast it. My daughter does not eat meat and quite frankly the bread tasted like they threw it on the grill where hamburgers had been and was drenched in a disgusting hamburger grease flavor. Then the owner throws a fit about accepting coupons that are made for dairy queen and are from the company. I would steer clear of this place if you want ice cream just go to baskin robins or cold stone, if you want hamburgers or chicken strips, go to burger king, carls jr, or mc donalds you'll fair FAR better than this place and you wont be waiting anywhere near the amount of time you have to wait here to get your food. You could literally drive to salem which is about 22 miles north bound go to one of their many dairy queens and get far faster and better service than you will at this place. read more
