My husband had the melt & I had the Wild West burger. We shared an order of sweet potato fries. It was all delicious! My husband tasted my burger and decided to go get him some to put on his. We will be visiting again the next time we are in town.

Very tasty burgers! And the fries were amazing!!! We loved the service as well. Very friendly staff. We got our food very quickly. The only thing we didn't like was the fried pickles. My husband and I always order fried pickles wherever we go, but we felt these fried pickles were very bitter (especially the after-taste). We will have to come back for the shakes because we heard good things.

Walk up to the window and treat yourself. This is a great place for grilled burgers and smooth shakes. It's a tiny place in the heart of the small town, staffed with smiling faces and good cooks. There was once a small indoor seating area, now due to COVID19, orders are to go only. Don't be discouraged, the food is made to order and will still be hot and fresh when you make it home, if you're staying in Red River. Food Review: Bacon Cheese Burger - grilled, well done with melted cheddar cheese, crispy bacon (they aren't stingy with the bacon), pickles, onions, lettuce and tomatoes is really good. It's a small burger but has a big taste. Yummy! French Fries - thick cut fries, fried to a golden crisp, seasoned with a sprinkle of salt and served hot. Delicious! Onion Rings - battered fried onions are just ok. They are a bit soggy and the batter slides off the onion easily. Wings - frozen to fried bite size nuggets, fried and smothered in Buffalo hot sauce. Just ok. Chocolate Strawberry Milkshake - creamy, smooth, sweet milkshake with a perfect blend of chocolate and strawberry flavors and bits of strawberry fruit, topped with whip cream and a cheery. Soooooooo Good! Visit www.tastebuddies.club for more useful reviews.

It was about a 15 minute wait to get a table on a very busy Saturday afternoon. I am bumping up my review since it was a dog-friendly restaurant. Our server, Arthur, graciously brought me more water for my dog and offered me a bowl even though I already had both. For starters I had a Whiskey Smash ($14.75). I enjoyed it. I sampled a taste from my brother's beer flight ($18). My mom's Desperado Mexi Lager also. They were mostly enjoyable. Red apple cider was probably something I would have on the front porch. For lunch I had the BBQ brisket sandwich ($12.50) with fries, pickles, and onions. They did not skimp on the meat. There was BBQ at the table which I added because the brisket was a bit flavorless. I chuckled when our server brought the mac and cheese out to my ultra picky nieces. He stated to my sister-in-law that it was in fact the Kraft-style mac, but it wasn't. I mean maybe he should learn what that means first of all. But second... Can you believe those kids are so picky that they didn't eat a single bite? Eight dollars per bowl with a side. Wow. My kids would starve the rest of the afternoon if their food smelled and tasted half way decent. Lol. I can almost hear the mutterings at my parenting style. Hey at least I drank my overpriced whiskey cocktail. Because our party was so large, automatic gratuity of 18% was added to our ticket. The women's restroom was small and mostly clean, but awkward entering and exiting with other women and girls crammed inside. I did not like how tables in our area were left untouched long after other patrons left. If I had my choice, I would probably opt for an alternative place next time. I was not that impressed by the staff's overall indifference to all the patrons. RATING BREAKDOWN (3 stars overall, bumped up because they were dog-friendly!) The fries were crispy and I really liked the "spicy" barbecue sauce. The service left a lot to be desired. When our food came out, something was missing from every plate. The runner seemed confused and lost when we asked about our remaining sides. The waiter had to ask someone if they had to-go cups for my 8 year old and the runners had to ask about barbecue sauce for our brisket . I really wanted to like this place, my husband and I have enjoyed their spirits at various restaurants in Taos, but we were very underwhelmed and felt it was very overpriced especially for lacking service.

Which leads me to my one complaint I didn't want a beef sauce on my sour cream chicken enchilada, but don't like red or green chili sauces. That left queso topping which for 1 enchilada still cost an extra $1.50. Seems like for one chicken enchilada they should offer that for free or have a sour cream sauce. Our wait staff was good, but not very knowledgeable about the food. We asked if they came with refried beans or charro beans. She was clueless about what we meant! From her definition we figured charro, but in reality they were refried- tasty refried beans, but not charro!! Would we go back? Yes!!

Service: Our server was spunky, sassy, and wonderful! She was so cheery, and checked in on us often. Giving an extra star here just for her! Food: I appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa tasted yummy, and the chips were warm. My husband and I ordered the chicken + beef fajitas to share since I wasn't hungry. The order came with about 8 warm corn tortillas, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, guac, and a sizzling skillet full of rice, beans, green and red bell peppers, and chicken and beef. This was plenty of food for the both of us. My husband was starving, and even between the 2 of us, we had leftovers! The fajitas were okay. I wasn't impressed by the place. Overall, we were impressed with the service, and dining experience. The food was alright.
