Came in at around 0600 to bring a box of donuts to work. The lady was so sweet and I told her I'd never been there before so she could surprise me with a variety of what she wanted and she was so happy to do so. I got to looking through the menu while waiting and would definitely want to come back and try their other pastries. My coworkers and I loved the donut selection. read more

Omg the glazed donuts and apple fritters are so soft, fluffy, and delicious! Plain croissant was perfect, too. Not at all hard or dry. Just sweet, greasy goodness. I found my new donut spot. And the boxes are cute. :) read more

I ordered 3 dozen of donuts mixed, and 3 coffee jugs on November 17 for a later date, December 8 for a work event. The man who took my order was very patient as I figured out how much I needed to order and what to order. Today (December 8) I picked it up, and it was a great experience. The young man working the counter helped me load my car with the coffee, donuts, bags of necessities; he had the cups, tops, napkins, milk, etc. ready to go in bags. The donuts and coffee were thoroughly enjoyed by my colleagues. I had a lot of compliments for choosing this place. I recommend this place for a sweet treat for yourself or for catering breakfast. Very reliable, very helpful- and the case displaying the variety of donuts makes this place 100% awesome. read more

I pass Dainty Donuts on my way to Home Depot. I pass Dainty Donuts on my way home. I've passed Dainty Donuts time and time again. No more. I stopped. It was time. I was late to the party. Came in for pick-up during COVID-19, and was impressed. Very clean, good handling by counter-person (mask, gloves), and even plastic no-sneeze dividers on counter. 1. Cinnamon Roll -- great look, great taste. Doesn't get much better than this. [4.5 stars] 2. Glazed -- didn't look great and can't compare to Krispy Kreme's melt in your mouth, but was actually really good. Light, fluffy cake, good sugar coating. [4.0 stars] 3. Custard-filled chocolate -- looked good, but it's very close to vanilla pudding and not as good as that would be. Imitation tasting, and not enough of it. Chocolate coating and cake, decent. [3.0 stars] One thing for sure, these donuts must be eaten within a few hours. They totally degradate, not even the next day, but 10-12 hours later. Frankly, not very good at all. read more

*** PSA*** Customers with allergies (e.g. nuts) - once you mention your allergy concerns to the employee, BE VERY OBSERVANT on how the he handles cross contamination. First, our guy (young) did not know how to handle our request to keep one of the donuts away from nuts. He did not know what to do. Once his co-worker advised him to get a clean tong from behind, he was careless about cross contaminating... and unapologetic about this when I point things out to him. NO !!! Owners needs to properly train their employees, food allergies is a serious matter. read more

I've visited this location approximately 4 times within random hours before leaving a review. The glaze donuts are really good. At times, I've noticed the glaze on the twist can get hard at times to the point it cracks. It appears to be family owned. The daughter is always nice and polite. I came in today to get donuts thinking I would get a half dozen , I couldn't find any additional flavors so I decided to get 4-5 donuts instead. The mother took the donuts out of the box and put all of the donuts inside of a white sleeve TOGETHER. I understand the cost of inventory can be expensive, but If I had of known, I would have just doubled up to complete the half dozen My previous orders with the daughter, I never encountered this issue. I often buy donuts for my clients so I've gone to most donut spots in the area. Out of all the mochi donut spots I've tried, Dainty Donuts makes the best ones! The texture is perfectly chewy and they taste so good! Besides the donuts, the staff are super friendly and kind. I haven't been here since I moved to Dublin but I'm happy I came back and introduced my boyfriend to the great Dainty Donuts. He described them perfectly; heavy and thick almost like a cake but at the same time doesn't feel heavy when you eat them. Tastes more like heavenly. It's so hard to find a good raisin danish snail and they do it just right. Unfortunately I don't always make it in time and they sell out cuz they only make a couple a day. For that I should give them 1 star. Just kidding, they're amazing and their apple fritter is up to our standards and a must have. read more

This is the perfect little donut shop. Friendly service and fresh donuts in a convenient spot. We ended a morning outing in Las Trampas Regional Park with a stop at Dainty Donuts, and this will be my routine now every time I hike in this area. The blueberry cake donut was delicious and my friend loved her glazed raised donut too. My kids said the iced sprinkle raised donuts were the perfect Valentine's treat. Used to come here almost every weekend after the gym, but am very disappointed after today's visit. I'm seeing comments of ownership change, so it makes sense. Got home, opened up the box & they looked burnt. Thought it's just the look, but they also have a bad aftertaste of burned oil (not sure if that's what is even used but that's how it tastes). This donut shop is the embodiment of a small business that truly cares! I have been coming to Dainty Donuts since I started going to school and have never been disappointed! Their donuts are soft and have a light glaze that isn't overly sweet which is definitely rare for other donut shops I've tried. All your standard donuts here in this little mum and pop shop. Super nice people here and their display case is always filled with just sugary goodness. Take your pick of anything really. Nothing fancy, just get to the point donut. Favorites will always be a simple glazed twist or a french crueller. Sometime, if I'm feeling dangerous, I get some donut holes too, and mom here gives me some extra ones. I can't waste them right? Come by. read more

The donuts doughy and not very good. The woman behind the counter was in such a hurry that my children couldn't pick what they wanted and we ended up leaving with half of our order. I will never return to this donut shop just purely on the fact that the woman behind the counter was so rude and pushy that we couldn't even take time to look at what was in the case. There was another family in front of us and we couldn't see everything that was in the case and yet the woman wanted our order immediately. Worst donut experience I've had in my 51 years on this planet. When it up throwing away the donuts and going to Digbys Donuts. Much better donuts and service. l mmm Go anywhere but here. read more

One of my coworkers was in San Ramon and decided to pull over to grab doughnuts. Lucky for me as we had two dozen donuts to share! Had my breakfast (and maybe a snack later) of these delicious goodies on Monday, August 28th around 10am. We had a variety of donuts. I started with what I think was the crumb raised donut. There's nothing dainty about these donuts. They are just the good old fashion donuts I remember having as a kid. Doughy, but not too dense. I moved on to the sugar donut next, which I think was more of a cake donut? Light and not too sweet. I ended with a sprinkled cake. I love sprinkles, so this was a great way to end the day. I adore donuts and these did not disappoint. With a name like dainty donuts, I expected them to be light and girlie. Instead, they reminded me of the donuts I had growing up. Kinda fitting since I partly grew up on San Ramon. If you're craving some hot, fresh donuts, I'd say Dainty Donuts is the place to get them. read more

So good. Pretty unsuspecting donut shop next to Taco Bell but wow!!! No greasy oil taste that usually comes with donuts and they are not too sweet either. So perfect!!! We devoured them so quickly for people who usually just take a bite and move on. I appreciate it A LOT that usually when I arrive the drinks are not ready yet, they try their best to make it asap. This IS really customer service, I cannot stop emphasize this: not many places will do this! Parking is easy: right outside. Nice store, bright and clean.

We arrived for an early dinner around 5 PM, full of nostalgia and high expectations...and left with very mixed feelings. We started with drinks and three appetizers to share. The pineapple spritzer was a great way to kick things off...refreshing, well-balanced, and not sweet which I appreciate. Our apps: - Crispy Shrimp and Pork Imperial Eggrolls: we re-ordered this. Tasty enough, but the portion size for the price was genuinely disappointing. You're getting a few small bites and not much else. - Shrimp and Chive Pan Fried Dumplings: The biggest letdown of the night. The dough on the bottom was thick and gummy, and the filling was completely bland.....no seasoning, no excitement. Pass. - Hoisin Barbecue Pork Ribs: The best of the three in terms of portion, but brace yourself -- these are an absolute mess to eat. I would not order these again. With mixed feelings about the food, we jumped straight to dessert, which is where the meal was redeemed. The burnt Basque cheesecake came topped with diced caramel apples and crispy strudel- one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Overall, this visit left us a little deflated. The appetizers underdelivered for the price, and it stings a bit on a sentimental occasion. That said, I'm still curious about their entrées. I have my eye on the whole catfish or their lunchtime pho.

We got the buttercream bread, sweet rice donut, chocolate cloud cake, milk cornet, and the strawberry milk bread. For drinks we got the red velvet hot cocoa and the caramel macchiato. The buttercream bread was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The butter cream wasn't too sweet and the bread was sooo soft. The ratio of cream to bread was just right, so each bite of bread had a sweet balance of the fluffy cream. The sweet rice donut was okay. To be, it could have been more softer, but it was expected for it to go stale a little bit since it's been out lying for a while. Some things are just unavoidable. The chocolate cloud cake was really good, but there was so much cream. Unlike the buttercream bread, there was imbalance here, but I adored the giant strawberries sandwiched between the cream. The consistency of the actual cake was perfect though, because sometimes I know it can get really soggy from the cream. Next time I would give another cake a try instead. The milk cornet was great! Tried it out because it seemed really popular; there was only one left. This pastry like a croissant stuffed with milky cream. The cornet was perfectly crunchy and the milk cream wasn't too sweet. Next time, I want to give the blueberry version a try. The strawberry milk bread impressed me. It was super soft, and I like how there was a really small amount of cream. Like, I understood what the cream was trying to do there. One bite of just bread would be pretty dry, but a little bit of cream can help smooth things out but still keep the spotlight on the bread. The red velvet hot cocoa drink was what surprised me the most. I suppose this drink is Valentines day edition, so it's not always here. I was so surprised when I opened the lid and saw hot pink foam! Like, DANG! Tous les jours really went out of their way to give us a sip of Valentines day! This drink is on the sweeter end, though. A friend said that the caramel macchiato was just okay, nothing surprising or impressive about it. I guess it was a safe order. The baristas were really efficient with our drinks; both drinks took five minutes or less! I love the interior of this bakery. So cute yet so easygoing. Perfect ambiance for catching up with some girlfriends!

As I was heading towards the door, two women were peeking in and said the place had been remodeled. While I looked at the display case, another woman was at the register to pay but had no cash and no apps to pay as the place is cash or tap only. The two ladies that came in paid for her purchase. How kind is that?? I got my usual fritter, a plain old fashioned for the hubby and a cinnamon sugar malasada. They threw in 3 doughnut hole complimentary! The fritter is thin, had apples and isn't bad. I actually liked that it wasn't thick which can cause it to be gummy or undercooked inside. It was slightly burnt along the edges which can happen because these guys need more fry time. It was lacking cinnamon for me but overall, not bad. Not too sweet either. Happy to come back and get some raised doughnuts to try as well. Plenty of parking in the lot so give this place a try. Please support this local business.
