Accessible via inside Metro Square and outside the mall the space is not very big but there are a couple of seats including a small table in the corner. You can choose your sugar level and ice. What was ordered: 2 lemon coffees 1 apricot coffee We chose 30% sugar for the lemon coffees and it wasn't enough. The gentleman who made our coffee offered to top up the sugar if we didn't find it was enough. For the apricot coffee he recommended no extra sugar as the apricot is a sweetened purée that that use. With small pieces of apricot mixed into the drink it was very nice. Service was good very but it did take a while for us to get our drinks. We would consider returning if in the area.

Parking is a little tricky since it's street parking right outside of the cafe, which is green P and has to be paid for. We decided to go with a milk cake with half lotus and half Dubai chocolate. The cake is soaking in milk which gives it a "wet cake" texture. The lotus has that nice cookie flavor and crunch while the Dubai chocolate with pistachio offers that chocolate and nutty flavor. I prefer the latter but both are good. We also got a matcha strawberry latte to go. Both really nice to look at and to drink. I had no problem finding parking. I pulled into a parking spot in front of the store and walked in. The order pickup area was in front of me. I read the signs and the order area was a few steps deeper into the store. I had the nicest woman who cheerfully said hi. She was helpful with answering my question and offering suggestions. She showed me the qashtuta, which was milk cake. She let me know that I could either get a solid flavour, such as Biscoff, or do three different flavours, such as Biscoff, hazelnut, and Dubai chocolate. Wow! My Yelp experience consisted of having knafeh, which I absolutely love. She said that it could be made soft or crispy. I love crispy. We thought this was a new brunch spot, but turns out it's been open for some time with some pretty great reviews so we thought we hit jackpot. The menu is split into the typical brunch categories (Bennies, Sandwiches, Salads, Pasta); not overly complex nor big. Karkumi does its own minor twist on the classics - Smoked Duck Breast / Beef Short Rib / Fried Shrimp Cake Bennies, but what caught our attention was what we ended up ordering. Spicy Shrimp Linguine with tiger shrimp and gochujang sauce sounds, on paper, very yum. What came out was an incredibly bland pasta with no spiciness detectable. Extremely thin slices of mushroom and barely noticeable bacon didn't do much to save the dish. Chicken Croffles were slightly better. Chicken was fried very nicely and season well throughout, though the dish could benefit from a little less batter. This was our first time trying croffles, but needless to say we were disappointed. While the outer layer was flakey for the perfect crunch, the inner layer was soggy and didn't seem to be cooked through yet. The dish comes with a syrup + spicy chipotle mayo-esque mayo, both very yum. For drinks, we ordered the Creme Brulee Latte and the Honeycomb Latte. Both were very smooth, creamy, and rich. We especially loved the honeycomb pieces overtop the latte - we're suckers for honeycomb! Needless to say, the drinks were the highlight of our meal. Service was slow, but it seemed like the kitchen was backed up even more after we got our food. Plenty of tables waiting for food, 15-20 minutes after ordering. We got lucky with timing, I suppose. I don't mind staying for the drinks, but will probably go elsewhere for satisfying brunch.
