We contacted Daigle Engineers during our 10 day inspection window, while purchasing home. Our inspector noted cracks in the foundation and recommended that we contact a structural engineer. Firstly, the office was friendly and courteous and an actual human being answered the phone. I had to leave a message for the engineer specifically, but promptly received a call back from Vin Pulselli. I explained that we were somewhat constrained for time, given the 10 day inspection window and were looking for a professional opinion before finalizing the purchase of the home. Vin offered to come out to look at the foundation the very next morning. He was professional, efficient and patient. He introduced himself to all parties involved and allowed the owner of the home to provide his knowledge on the changes that may/may not have occurred during his tenure on the property. Vin provided his expert opinion and because his company would not be the ones doing the work (they inspect and design, but wouldn't be making the repairs), we knew that we could trust his expertise. Two days later we received a detailed email with all of the recommendations. The cost was $500, which may seem high, but comparatively speaking, was quite fair. Plus, for peace of mind and reassurance that we wouldn't need to invest $50K into our basement, it was well worth it. Hopefully, I don't need a structural engineer any time soon, but if I did, I would work with them again and highly recommend them to anyone, particularly those on a time-crunch. read more
