I highly recommend Richard and his A Plus paving team. My property manager recommended him when my other contractor fell through. It took me days to get quotes back from other paving contractors. Richard not only made the time to come out the next day, but he also gave us a written fair estimate and was able to schedule the paving job by the end of the week! He was very friendly and introduced himself to me Friday morning and we went over exactly the area that needed to be done before they went to work. I was put at ease and was confident after his transparency. His team is very professional, diligent and detailed in their work. Perfectionist would be the best word to describe them. You can definitely tell that they have been doing this for many years. I'm so happy with my new driveway, thank you for making it happen. I would absolutely work with them again in the future. Thank you so much A Plus Paving team for quickness and efficiency from us at Princeton Street in Chelmsford! read more

They never finished on what they say there going to do and pay them when the job is finished

About 2 months ago we had our driveway paved by this company and a week or so later we noticed a hole in a spot. Since then we have been calling the company to fix the issue and every time we are told someone will be out later that day or tomorrow. Tomorrow hasn't come yet and the hole is just getting bigger! I DO NOT recommend this company. Giving one star because I cant do ZERO stars. read more

They did such a great job!!! My driveway before was a hot mess and had holes. Now it's beautiful. Richard the owner and son and crew did such a wonderful job!!!! 5 Star read more

Requested estimates from a few different paving companies to extend the driveway and repave the +20 year old driveway. A Plus Paving was immediately responsive, coming out that Sunday (4/12) to give me an estimate. He was super detailed in explaining what his team would do and when he'd be able to come out to do the job. He also provided a written estimate detailing work to be done, which was useful for comparative purposes. Had to wait days to get an estimate from the other paving companies and not all provided written estimates, even upon request. After having all estimates and knowing that A Plus Paving was the company that I wanted to work with, I called to see if he'd work with me on the price and we agreed on a price. I was very happy with the price. A Plus Paving came out yesterday (4/29), aligned with the time he stated when he gave me the estimate. A Plus Paving did an amazing job, attentive to detail and professional. I would definitely work with Richard (owner) again and recommend A Plus Paving. read more

NEW UPDATE /OCTOBER 12 Since my previous review on 10/8, A Plus Paving sent their crew to correct the problems with the landscaping and the filling in of the needed asphalt. The crew did an effective fix by backfilling both sides of the driveway with good loam and thoroughly raking it into the lawn. Their cleanup was neat and thorough. We appreciate all the effort taken to resolve the problem. read more

A Plus Paving was great. Professional, reliable, and easy to work with. Highly recommend

My Husband and I needed to have our driveway completely removed and redone. I looked into A Plus Paving and read wonderful reviews about the company and Richard. He contacted me immediately and came out to look at our driveway. He was very professional and the quality of his work was incredible. They came when it was raining to remove the old driveway and a few days later when the day was bright and sunny, they gave me a new driveway. The driveway was worth every penny. And when we asked for a few extras, Richard didn't have any problem with them. Quality is excellent and I am very happy. read more

We recently had a depression form in our private paved roadway. Small job, typically nobody's interested but Richard came right over, gave us a quote on the spot. We knew it was a fill in job, being so small but Richard kept in contact and he and his crew showed up pretty soon thereafter. The crew was knowledgeable, every one had their specific job to do and before you knew it the old asphalt was cut and removed. There was a depression in the gravel but the guys quickly leveled it off, compacted it and the new paving went in. They had to hand form a section of asphalt curb and it looks factory made. The whole job, from start to finish went better than I ever anticipated. I was really nervous about getting this done right but Richard, his son and the whole crew made it happen, I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone who has a paving job, large or small to use them. read more

Came in with a good price. Excellent job ripping up and replacing my driveway. Everything cleaned up nicely. Very satisfied!

Did a fantastic job replacing our driveway at a very good price. Would definitely recommend them.

A Plus Paving did several walk ways for us at the Holiday Inn in Salem. They were professional and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again on any future repairs. read more

We had our driveway completely repaved a few years ago. A Plus did a fabulous job digging out the old driveway and putting a new one in. This year, we decided to seal it, so called A Plus again. They immediately came out and gave us a quote for the job. While they did fantastic work, we realized that "a few weeks" actually meant a few months and four phone calls from me to remind them. Their work is excellent, their organization of time and scheduling is okay. read more

I called and filled out several online forms for a quote from other companies, A Plus was the only ones that responded . They suggested on what to do, explained the process and gave me a price way less than expected. Driveway completed today and my 100+ year old home has better curb appeal now. I contracted with them to resurface my driveway with 1 1/2" of asphalt, It is peeling up, you can see if it was 1/2" of asphalt I would be surprised. Very disappointed. read more

This is the second large job that we have hired A Plus Paving to do and both times we have been extremely satisfied with their work. They do excellent work, are fair priced and give the customer more than what was expected. Our first job was in 2018 and the parking area and driveway are still in perfect condition. Would highly recommend this company. read more

We got three quotes for resurfacing our driveway. A Plus came in under budget which made us think how the other companies were totally going to screw us. Richard told us exactly what needed to be done while the other companies told us that we needed to do some extra work that was apparently unnecessary. Richard and his crew came out today and did the work quickly and efficiently. The driveway looks amazing. You could tell that his employees were very skilled at their jobs and took great pride in their work. We would highly recommend A Plus Paving to anyone. read more

Richard and his team were very professional. They did a great job and would highly recommend them.

Got everything asked in the quote All work perfomed great and very neat.Richard and his crew nailed it and more see

One representative quoted job price, different company (several owned by the same family) showed up to do the work than the one that gave estimate, While job was underway and they doubled cost, demanded check be cleared at my bank same day- scam alert! What they did to my driveway is criminal, the initial family representative refused to make it right. Would give no star at all if it was an option, avoid this scam. read more

You don't have to take my word for it. Before you use this company please email me and I will allow you to come to my house and look at the garbage work this company did to my driveway. Resurfaced a portion and added new section. It is uneven cracking, sinking and crumbling, and all that started within the first three months. Its only getting worse and las been little over a year. These people repeatedly lied to my wife and I with promises to come and fix the driveway. We have all of our attempts to reach out to them for resolution ver well documented and would be glad to share. They are Liars, Cheats and Thieves. Don't get caught up in their used car salesman tactics . Michael.veach1@outlook.com read more

We needed a driveway for our new construction. Richard (the son) came out & gave us the estimate, which was less money than the others. Richard (the father) led the crew today & did a fantastic job!! The entire crew was courteous, friendly & extremely professional. They did a phenomenal job! I would highly recommend them to everyone! It was well worth it! We even offered, to let them put a sign out there, which we NEVER do!!! read more

A worker from A Plus Paving came to my door and said that they were doing a job for a neighbor and had some left over asphalt and would give me a great deal on repaving my driveway. They left a mess along the edges of my driveway and I have called them asking to fix the mess that they made and nobody calls me back. Also, after talking to relatives, I realize that the price of $11,000 was outrageous considering that they didn't remove my old driveway in addition to them having me pay them almost half of the price in cash. I am elderly and feel that I was ripped off by this company and taken advantage of because of my age. read more

A Plus Paving is aptly named. After getting a few estimates we chose A Plus Paving to repave our long driveway which, after many years, was in very poor condition. Their response was prompt, they were receptive to our questions and the paving took only one day. We had a beautifully repaved driveway. A state inspector, due to the angle of runoff at the driveway/state road, found that it did not meet the standards set. We called A Plus Paving. We received an immediate call back and were reassured they would be back the next day. Good to their word, they returned and repaved the end as required in a curve where water/ice may accumulate. They completed the work within 24 hours, no excuses, no complaints and no further charge to us. They were not a penny over the estimate they initially quoted. We would not hesitate to use this company again. Ted & Kate Faust Salem NH read more

My driveway was very old and a distraction which made the grounds of my house look run down. It had pot holes and a steep uneven slope at the entry from the street. The previous owner established an exit over the lawn which created an exit out to the adjoining street. The house is on a corner lot. A Plus Paving of Salem did a driveway for a close and trusted friend who gave a high recommendation for the company. I contacted Rich who came to the house to provide a free estimate. I explained I wanted the slope corrected, the entire driveway to be level and the turnout to the adjoining street to be paved. He came in with his energetic; attentive and producrive crew and produced a driveway that exceeded my expectations. I am also doing the work of putting a lawn in. I asked Rich how much it would be to spread the 18 square yards of loam for me. Forgive me, I can't resist, he did it "dirt cheap" saving me days of spreading it with a wheelbarrow and shovel. Rich is a personable, trustworthy individual who produces what he states on the detailed estimate/proposal. 5 well earned stars for a job well done. read more

We just had a new driveway installed today by A Plus Paving (Richard is the owner) and his crew. Richard gave us a quote at a very good price. We were very impressed with him right from the start. He explained exactly what he was going to do and told us when he would do the job - 2 days later...Amazing. Communication was great - he was always reachable by text or called you back!! While doing the job he asked us if we were happy and anything we suggested he immediately took action on with a smile. Super nice guy to work with and his crew are just as nice and very polite... just great people. They cleaned up everything before leaving. Gave us great tips and we will have them back to seal coat next year. They provided us with a high level of service in which we enjoyed. We would highly recommend A Plus Paving to everyone! Richard, of A Plus Paving, is a total Pro. He did everything he promised and some. His estimate was very reasonable, his crew was very professional and competent. Rich gave me the best quote out of all the companies I contacted. Richard and his crew did a great job on my house driveway. I also hired them for my commercial parking lot. They went above and beyond and were very professional and reasonably priced. read more

Our driveway was paved last year and I gave it a year to settle before judging the finished product. We have loose gravel, cracking, and the edging is breaking away in a few spots. The joints where it meets parts of the old driveway are a nightmare and uneven. The slopes are angled incorrectly and drainage has been affected. I attempted to communicate with customer service but never heard back from them. I will say they did not conduct the sub-grade structure but apparently had no problem with working on top of it. Add insult to the matter they used a video of our driveway being completed on their website as proof of their work. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being over critical of the driveway as a whole so I had an engineer assess and evaluate the work. He stated the asphalt part of the driveway was done poorly and needed to be fixed I also supplied a case of beverages for the workers and they thanked me by strewing the empty bottles all over my property. Please see pictures. read more

Not a good experience. Did not complete what I asked for. Ruined my pavers and bushes, made a mess in the road. Would not listen to my feedback. Owner gave a quote but sent a kid to do the job. read more

Richard gave us an excellent quote on paving our parking area and even though we have been advised never to take the lowest bid we chose A Plus because we felt Richard would be good for his word. Scheduling was easy and the crew showed up in the early morning, done by noon. He and his crew worked carefully, professionally and efficiently together. They shaped the area with an eye to design and delivered what was contracted for. Machinery and trucks all in good working order. The improvement was money well spent because the nice driveway amped up the looks of the house. read more
