The meaning of Dai pai dong is a type of open-air food stall in Hong Kong. This "restaurant" is located on a street next to the mid levels escalators. It doesn't exactly look sanitary as the kitchen and tables are basically located in the middle of an alley, but man is the food here delicious!
Being located in the heart of central, they smartly have an English menu. I highly suggest you get some beer with your meal. It just goes so well together. Been here a few times before and my favorites are the spare ribs, salt and pepper pork, and fillet fish with bitter melon.
It's the perfect place to chill, eat some good Chinese food, and have a cold beer on a hot day. Also a good place to take guests as its a pretty cool Hong Kong experience to eat local food in the middle of a street. read more
