SCALLOP, PORK BELLY - SAM GYEOB SAL

This is definitely one of the better kbbq spots here in SA. It does run on the pricier end, but the quality and experience makes up for the cost. You can choose to do a la carte or the ayce option. There are two tiers for the ayce: pig out ($38) or swine dine ($48). I'd recommend going with the swine dine if you're eating here because the pig out is not really worth your bang for your buck. (There are other kbbq spots in SA that are cheaper for what you can get for the same meats as pig out and the quality of the meats are not really that much better for the cost.) You can order as many things as you want for the ayce, and it is all cook-yourself. Service is good and the waiters are very attentive to check up on how you're doing. My only complaint, which is a common complaint going to kbbq, is that the ventilation system/fans are not the best, so you'll definitely smell like meat after leaving here. For the premium price point, I expected the ventilation system to be much better. Overall a great experience, which above average food!

Thank you Gaby for a wonderful first time experience at Dae Gee. Food was delicious and service was great. We enjoyed all the flavors of the Korean Fried Chicken. The Kim Chee was flavorful! I did take off one star due to the fact that you can order Galbi only once per person not including children. Price is equivalent to other Korean BBQ places in the area however this location has a small meat selection than others. Overall, we enjoyed our first time here and will return in the future.

First experience with Korean Bbq and honestly it was a great one! The experience was wonderful, food was super delicious, staff was very attentive, and the owner even dropped by to show his appreciation for us stopping by! The restaurant is well kept and unlike previous experiences with cooking food at the table, it wasn't hot! We did the Pig Out which is a no-brainer if you're wanting to try all the different meats! Will be back for date night!

Review from a Korean person's perspective this was a disappointing experience. I saw some great reviews which heightened my expectations. Unfortunately, maybe the reviews were from people who never had good Korean food or first time trying. We got the unlimited dinner (weekend) menu, where they offer you a little bit of all the meats. The beef brisket and regular pork belly was literally 2 pieces and the rest being everything marinated. The marination on all the meats had the same base with some being a little more spicy. After a while, we were so tired of the marination flavor. I think they can add more unmarinated meat to try. Next part to call out is their tiny portions of side dishes (banchan) which is traditional at Korean bbq. The two tiny pieces of Korean pancakes really made me laugh! The refills that you ask for is better than the start. I can tell the rice and the side dishes were old by appearance and taste. Overall, I would not recommend this place if you've already tried Korean bbq.

I went to an event and a member of the staff recommended I come try this place out. So my wife and I decided to try it, it was phenomenal! The crew working took good care of us and ensured we were happy. As an adults we thought to ourselves we should have brought a meat temp lol. The place was packed with people and it was fun to watch everyone doing their own thing. Love this spot and definitely coming again!

I really wanted to rate this place higher. The service here is great, everyone greeted us when we walked in at dinner time on a Friday. It has the typical KBBQ setup with the rectangular gas grills on the table. Some might be circular, ours wasn't. Some of the seats are really close to your neighbor and I don't think I would like that for 2 hours. We ordered the AYCE. The Banchan was ok, I had to order about 5 potato salads because they were so small, and that's ok. Cheese corn was a little watery for my liking, the cucumber kimchi was great. The issue for me is they give you all the meats. I just wanted some beef and some pork. I was compelled to eat all this extra food that I'm not too fond of. It's not a bad setup if you don't know what you want, or if you never had KBBQ and want to try it all.

The experience here was just ok! With the many options now in town for Korean bbq this place is falling short on my list I came here with a picky friend which made the experience even more bad. I never look at the utensils which I probably should! She was holding the fork with so many grease stains on it. It took for ever to get a new set of utensils... The meat was nothing to really talk about. The grill was already dirty before even starting to grill. He passed by many times saying he will change it. For the price the value of what we got is mediocre. I don't think I will ever return

    meat is good cut

disappointing. Someone had written the kimchi was too vinegar, which is true, and the meat was tough. I got the galbi. The meat was a good piece. Well cooked, on the tougher side, but medium rare, tender. The problem was the marinade was too heavy soy sauce -- so it was too salty. Maybe that's good for business because then you'll eat more rice, but this place won't be on my return list

    Love this!

Amazing!!! We showed up on Valentine's Day,!I was able to call in & save our seats with a 30 minute wait time... we showed up and waited about 10 minutes then got seated..the nice lady up front was super sweet.. Alex was our waiter.. it was busy, we had to remind him several times on some of the items we ordered. But, we understood bc it was a bit busy. The owner Tommy came to our table and just made everything so much better... he brought us the dishes we asked for and brought us jalapeños I had asked for previously but I was told they didn't have any by the waiter. All in all our experience here was great! The chicken wings are delicious, super crispy & savory! The ambiance was great, we lived all the accommodations and this family owned business made it known they were there to help! Definitely recommend

It's located in a shopping center in the Stone Oak area with plenty of parking, even though we went late on a Friday night. The indoor dining was clean, spacious and enough tables to accommodate several parties. Live music for entertainment made for a relaxing time. The indoor lighting had a slight blue tint to provide more of a layback experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a good choice and very tasty. The Mojarra Chicharron, whole deep fried Tilapia, was not only delicious, but the presentation was perfect. Precut fried chunks placed on top of the fish made it easy to dip in the sauce and eat. Wifey went with the Pasado Del Rio, filet of Salmon, with lemon butter. It was well prepared and had a good blend of flavors. The prices were fair compared to other upscale seafood restaurants with entrees in the $20 range but also offer some Chef specials up to $75 for a shared meal. A reviewer mentioned that being here gives the feeling of hanging in someone's wine cellar which is the impression I got as I set foot in here. With the word wine being the in name of the establishment, you will find an extensive selection of wines available by glass and bottle and categorized by white types and red types. Being a Zinfandel guy, the bartender turned me to the Girard "Old Vine" Zinfandel. This is a pricy wine at $25/glass. I enjoyed the hell out of it as it's one of the better Zinfandel's I've ever had. Definitely steep at $25. I probably should've gone with the wine flight which is what my friend did before he switched to a Malbec. I forgot which one he did but the flights are all prearranged to compliment one another. It makes for a nice experience if you're not sure what wine you want to zero in on. As for food, we paired our wine with a charcuterie board. It's a standard board with some baguette slices and a mix of cheeses and meats with a candied jalapeno spread. A very nice compliment to wine. They have happy hour, wine of the month, and a wine/dine theme for every month where they pair wines with a themed menu. Plus sangria is available as well. Also there is wine tasting every Wednesday so the place gets packed from what I heard. But I'd certainly be open to attending one. Can't wait to come back here!
