Before purchasing, I specifically asked whether I would be able to return any unopened material we did not use. I was told yes and that they keep plenty of this flooring in stock, so returning the extra boxes would not be a problem. When the project was finished, I had several unopened boxes left, plus one open box. I even brought back the open box and offered the remaining pieces to them so they could use them as samples. To my surprise, they refused to refund all of the unopened boxes because one box had some slight exterior damage. What bothered me even more was that they still gladly took the box back, even though I received no refund for it. Based on this experience, I did not feel that what I was told before the purchase matched how the return was actually handled. If you want to work with a flooring dealer you can trust, I would recommend shopping around and comparing prices elsewhere. In my experience, their pricing was not the best either, and I would not purchase from them again.

Petra Stone is the place to go only if you're comfortable losing 30% of your money if you change…read moreyour mind even if you never took possession of the stone, it was never fabricated, and it never left their warehouse. I purchased three slabs of marble for my kitchen, and after speaking with two independent fabricators, I learned that I would have to sign a release of liability for installation. Both fabricators explained that marble is extremely porous and prone to chipping and cracking, and they both advised that marble should never be used for a kitchen countertop. Anything acidic : lemon juice, vinegar, soda can dull and etch marble even when it has been sealed. Wine, citrus, tomato sauce, coffee, and oils can all leave stains or dark spots. If you don't use any of these in your kitchen, you might be safe; but if you do, they will leave a lasting impression. When I explained this to the owner and requested a full refund despite the slabs never being moved or fabricated, he refused. I even offered to pay $1,500 to be reasonable, but that was also declined. If that is the kind of business you want to deal with Petra Stone is the place for you.
