They also make their own patties - you have a choice of beef or fish and they smelled wonderful. One coworker informed me that she always buy their bread - 3 rolls for $1 which is a steal. Everything looks fresh in the store. The owner speaks very little English but she has a very kind and warm smile. Love seeing mom and pop places like this. Go on in and give this place a try.

Any proper Portuguese bakery must make fresh loaves of sweet bread. Yes, this bakery has the requisite homemade sweet bread (a note: growing up in Rhode Island, where there is a substantial Portuguese population, I had Portuguese sweet bread all the time--try it for French toast--but I have not yet tried Stoughton bakery's). And it has delicious custard tarts, and egg tarts, too. And they have Portuguese fried dough (it has a name in Portuguese, which I can't remember!) which is chewy and sugary, and has a gentle hint of lemon. Yum. It's on a side street very near the Stoughton MBTA station. It's a small and very clean place, with somewhat limited offerings, but everything I have had is the real deal. The woman who works there is a kind and gentle sort, and the prices are super affordable. I will note that it may be around a 3.5, but I rounded it up to 4 stars, as I was very happy to find this!

We got Nichole to make a "Cupcake Dress" and "Tuxedo" cupcakes for the shower and they were beyond adorable and really NO WORDS can describe how tasty they were. I am picky about cake, snobby and spoiled by my grandmother's baking and Nichole gave my grandmother some stiff competition! I was shocked. And I know not everyone like the taste of fondant -- but I am someone who really does and it was so good! I am so happy we chose to go with her and I hope to be able to use her again in the future!
