I also ordered the Ikura Nigiri and it was great - salmon roe was very cold though (needs to be stored at a certain temp, I get it) so I waited for it to not feel frozen before finishing the second piece. Overall, great serving size but I don't know if I'd get the same sashimi again since you only get four kinds of fish for a rather high cost. A huge shout-out to Kaylin, who consistently goes above and beyond. She is always smiling, genuinely welcoming, and happy to make great recommendations. They do not have on the menu iced tea, but rather than simply telling me they do not, she brings me a cup of ice along with hot green tea so I can make my own. It's a small thing, but it perfectly represents her approach to customer service. The sushi itself is remarkable, and the chefs clearly appreciate their customers. They routinely do little extra things that make us feel valued and create a level of service that really stands out. We generally spend around $100 for two people, including one alcoholic beverage and green tea, which I consider very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and service, especially in today's economy. The only thing which surprises me is that the restaurant often seems slower than I would expect. We've been on both Mondays and Saturdays, and I honestly don't understand why this place isn't packed. Hiro Sushi has officially become our new favorite sushi restaurant, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
