The menu had plenty of options and the kids menu was great. You know it's a good kids menu when there is Mac and cheese available! The food we ordered was pretty good,l as expected pub food. The sandwich was delicious and came with sweet potato fries as a choice. We loved our server! She was flexible and understanding and had a great attitude. All in all, we had a wonderful time. The restaurant pub was always buzzing with business, music was fun, place was clean and food and drinks and servers all available in a timely manner. Not sure what else you can ask for! We would come back any time and highly recommend to all!

Our food was delicious. Pulled pork nachos, BBQ burger, and quesadillas. Sadly - although the bao buns were tasty, they were out of Brie. The only negatives at all are (1) I would have liked our drinks refilled and (2) I didn't like that the tab was simply the total - so I felt like I needed to tip even on the tax - not my preference but also not the end of the world. The kids have already said, "we definitely want to come back here".

Very personable and so passionate about this new life chapter with is wife (new owners since Feb. 2025). Everything is made to order so there can be a wait. Plus it gets busy at lunch. We suggest ordering your drink and maybe an appetizer while you study the menu. The mussels were amazing!!! Bigger than Prince Edward Island in a roasted tomato and chorizo sauce. Served with grilled buttered/seasoned sourdough bread. We brought the remaining sauce home. My husband ordered the beer battered fresh haddock sandwich with fries. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with cheese and bbq sauce on toasted sourdough. Also served with fries. Both so amazing. We had the the flour less chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream. The torte was very dense and rich. So good. The ice cream cut some of the richness. So elegant inside with the exposed brick, concrete floors and beautiful decorating. They take it up a notch with everything they do. Water served once you are seated. Silverware rolled in cloth napkins. Sourdough bread. No feeling that you have to rush through your meal. A little extra in food presentation; ketchup in a little dish with the fries for example. Great fries by the way. The outdoor dining area is set up with greenery to keep it private and decorated with little lights for that romantic feel. On Lincoln Street in the Bates Mill building. Please come visit Ryan and the staff. The prices are reasonable and they also serve dinner. Very happy.

We were not sure about the ordering process, and after a few minutes started trying to find the pub website and look for a menu. Eventually a menu was brought to our table, and we put in an order for beer. Turns out, half of the items on the menu were not available. When we did figure out an order, more items were made not available. We settled on a NY style pizza. We did not get the toppings we ordered. Good news: the crust was very good, and worth another try! Even the leftovers were delicious the next day - not all pizza can do that. They do not know how to pour a Guinness - which is too bad, because that is a favorite beer of ours. We switched to another tap and had a local red. The tap selection is decent. The place has a very casual atmosphere, and many locals come and go and seem to have great conversation and know each other's business. Overall, a place with great potential, especially for regulars. Hopefully, another visit will be more successful for exploring the menu which sounds good.

There's records being thrown down, cool lighting, nice decor and even super friendly folks. The employees here are beyond nice and welcoming. Like they know what they are doing here and they are offering you an experience that is fun and funky. We started off with two drinks. One was called a salad of some sort (sorry, blacked out) and it was delicious. The other was just as good. Ordered the eggplant app - do not leave without this. Absolutely amazing. For food, we ordered a rice bowl with pork sausage and a noodle bowl (with lobster and clams). Don't remember the names. Both were absolutely fantastic. The flavor profiles are just incredible. The rice bowl had so many things happening. Just terrific. The noodle bowl has a broth that you would drink daily. There wasn't one thing that could have made these dishes any better. Service: Great Food: We started off with soft serve and the seasonal earl gray outshined the house honey. The earl gray had a great flavor topped with an excellent syrup while the honey was mild and the chocolate shell didn't add anything, although the 'honeycomb' bits were delic. Crispy eggplant special - good, very small portion Pork katsu sandwich - pretty solid, interesting pickle Pad mee korat - good, small portion Value: Aside from the soft serve, the portions were very small for ~$17 price point, and the food was good but aside from the earl gray soft serve, didn't amaze to the point of paying a higher price point. Overall I did like this meal but portions were small for prices. I hope they keep the earl gray soft serve around!

Yes the lines are long, sometimes 2-3 hours before it's your turn to order your meal. Today I ordered an appetizer lobster pop. It was ok nothing to write home about but I also ordered scallops , onion rings, lobster roll, excellent iced tea & excellent iced coffee. We picked an outside table & waited for our order to be delivered. It only took 10-15 minutes to have our order delivered. Red's doesn't weigh their lobster all they do is pile it on so high you can't see the buttered grilled hotdog roll. Served with a side of hot butter to dip or pour on the lobster. I couldn't finish my roll so I took home some leftover lobster that I weighed at home. It weighed 4.7 oz more than what a normal lobster roll weighs regularly. I can safely say there was around 16z of fresh tender lobster meat. No chewiness incurred. Look closely at the pictures & start making plans to visit Red's Eats in Wiscasset Maine. We chose to go visit when they 1st opened on May 6th so the line we stood in was only 10-12 people deep. We will go back in October before they close for the season. This will be the most impressive lobster shack you'll ever experience. Make plans & drive there soon.

OPENING DAY 2026 I…read morewas lucky enough to be in the area on opening day and knew it was finally time to try the famous Reds Eats as a native Mainer. Since it was opening day on a wednesday and i arrived around 1:45 i only waited in line about half an hour so i cant speak on wait times during peak season. I do know however that i would wait in a longer line to eat this food again because it was more than worth it. First of all the customer service is exceptional- i dont think i have had a better more friendly experience. They give you sampled while you wait in line and during my time they were handing out their beer batters fried shrimp and wow even that was amazing! I waited while it was cold and rainy as well so the hot shrimp was a wonderful surprise. I watched ever interaction the employees had with every individual party and the never wavered in politeness or excitement. They treated everyone with the same respect and really took their time catering to them. Now onto the food, i ordered the sweet potato fries with the house made maple aoili, a side of cole slaw, and of course the lobster roll which was a market price of $38 on opening day. The food came out so fast, the wait times are not because they don't get food out in a timely manner because they were an excellent well oiled machine in the kitchen. This lobster roll is absolutely STUFFED with lobster. I had at least two tails, two claws, and then some in my one hot dog roll and i couldn't even pick it up. Let's just say i fork and knifed it until i could take a bite of the roll which i am not complaining about at all! Comes with hot butter on the side which i liked more than just being dumped onto the roll beforehand. Pro tip- get the side of sweet potato fries because the house made maple aoili it comes with is also fantastic when you dip your lobster roll in it! Plus the fries were perfectly hot and crispy. Cole slaw was a great addition too for some crunch! I love being able to look out into the water as you sit outside, and i was even bundled up in a jacket but i wouldn't change my experience for anything! This is by far the best price point for any lobster roll you'll get in Maine when we are talking about quality and quantity. You will leave extremely satisfied and the experience is going to stay on your mind until you go again! I can't wait for my next chance to eat at Reds!
