I love this restaurant. The food is consistently good and the staff are wonderful. I've yet to have a meal less than wonderful here. The appetizers, pastas and chicken dishes are top notch. The only item we've been told repeatedly by other diners not to order is the steak and cheese. They have monthly food and drink specials, and I wish that they would bring back the Asian sampler as it was one of the best specials I've had here. Super convenient while at the casino with a decent range of options. My friends got the chicken tenders, and it's awesome the wide array of sauce options available. I had a $30 comp which could get me pretty much anything on the menu with the exception of the lobster roll and the steak tips. I wanted something healthy so I got a house salad which was a good portioned salad, really fresh and tasty. For my main dish, I got a the chef special mushroom swiss burger with fries. If I could do it again, I would have asked for bacon to be added but I thought about it after I ordered. The burger was smallish but really tasty and the fries were ok. I really had no complaints about the meal itself. The service was pretty good. Hostess sat me at a table with no wait, waitress came around for a my order after giving me a few minutes to look at the menu. I didn't order any drinks but my water was refilled in a timely manner. Overall everything was good, nothing exceptional or great but a pretty good place to eat while in the casino. We really enjoyed our meal here. We started with casino chips, fresh chips piled high with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and barbecue sauce. I had the pub burger, it was cooked perfectly and juicy. He had the lobster Mac and cheese, which was loaded with lobster meat, no tail meat, but four claws and knuckles. He actually regretted having the chips, the Mac and cheese was that good. read more

This restaurant that is attached to the casino recently opened. How awesome to be able to gamble at the Oxford casino and walk around the corner and have a meal! Yay! We had a nice meal here at the OX Pub. One person was complaining that you can hear the ding-ding of the slot machines .... ummmmm ... it's a casino restaurant! ha ha -- Of course you're going to hear the machines. Staying in Maine and happened to try this place for dinner. The menu was great there were so many things I wanted to try! We ended up ordering the poutine and "casino chips" both delicious. For a meal I ordered the clam chowder and the haddock sandwich! Hit or miss. I have eaten here 6 times in the past 9 months. 2 great meals- 2 average and 2 sub-par. Service inconsistent depending on who is on and how they are feeling. Don't get me wrong it is not always bad just maddeningly inconsistent. Get the blackened salmon- take a chance on the steak tips and stay away from the pasta. I stay at the Hampton across the street on business and usually walk over to the Ox Pub. There is really nothing else in town for food and the convenience factor comes into play. Out again with my wife, celebrating our birthday gift from our son. He purchased us a gift card for the Ox Pub located inside the Oxford Casino. My wife and I don't gamble but we do like to eat. We arrived to a parking lot full of cars and took the short walk to the restaurant. The place was buzzing with excitement with tons of people sitting, gambling and seemingly enjoying themselves. We were seated right away, despite the crowd and the waitress immediately arrived at our table with menus and promptly took our drink orders. We decided to go all out and each of us ordered an appetizer. I got the Lollipop Buffalo Chicken Wings and my wife ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The appetizers we ordered arrived in what seemwd like minutes. Our meals arrives a few minutes after, so our table was full of food. The wings looked much different than regular wings, however they were nicely spiced. The Artichoke dip my wife ordered was excellent and arrived with a large amount of chips. For our meals I ordered a hamburger loaded with mushrooms and my wife got the Asian Salad and Pasta Alfredo. The salad really was the hit of the evening. It had noodles and was loaded with many different types of veggies. Her pasta dish was good and more than likely wouldn't order it again. Overall the evening was excellent. I'm not big on casinos, but I just had the haddock Reuben and it was very good along with their crispy perfectly made fries. The haddock was fresh and thick enough/plentiful so you really could taste the fish. They have a good craft beer selection too, but the beer was pricey. Service was also warm and friendly. read more

The beer selection is probably the best that I've seen in the state for local craft beers. The service was amazing all around and very tentative. A group of about 30-40 of us came here following a wedding. Food was decent. Our waitress was a doll. Unfortunately, the female manager on duty was rude to multiple people in our party and refused to let us be served by anyone other than the one waitress that was assigned to us. Which would've been fine, but the manager was unnecessarily rude about it. Mind you, she didn't offer to help or grab a round of drinks like a helpful manager would do, she just made us sit there and wait.
