Da Capo Salad Dinner with steak
    Eugene G.

Gorgeous Friday evening with a nice breeze we had a opportunity to eat dinner outside at DaCapo. One in our party had the DaCapo salad with steak. The salad was a tremendous mixture of sliced tomatoes, vegetables and cheeses with shaved sirloin that was cooked perfectly medium rare. This was an excellent dish. Another had the spaghetti carbonara, which had a beautiful flavor of smokey guanciale and creamy al dente pasta. Superb with lots of parmigiana reggiano. Lastly, we had the eggplant. You can see from the picture that this was a gigantic dish that could've easily fed three people! Our service was right on point and outstanding. Because my daughter indicated she had been into Greece recently, brought us over a slice of a fantastic three-layer cake with a chocolate ganache. If you have no other reason than to come to DaCapo, try the dessert. It's absolutely worth a trip. The portions are exuberant and we brought about half of our food home. Four of us ate for about $130 and I left a $30 tip. This was just excellent and we will be back.

Water.. we got our food and chowed it down. Also the meatballs are great too

Went this week, it was packed and we got a small table in middle of room so it was very tight. However my daughter loved her burger, I liked my salad and the wings had a crisp so that was great.

Such an awesome restaurant. I had friends meet me there from out of State and we had such a wonderful lunch! Lindsay was an amazing service provider, sweet, fun and very personable. The Owner even came over to visit with us. We had so much fun. The food was wonderful, we sat outside, the atmosphere was beautiful. Definitely five stars! We all loved it there! Thank you.

Very good food and great ambience and the service is excellent and I love the restaurant

They have a very nice covered patio area for Al fresco dining. Food and service are both dependably good although a little on the pricey side.

Rigatoni Bolognese, and a Cosmo to drink

Who didn't drink or excellent as usual. I like the Aviance too. It's very homey and open dining room. The service was OK. We went in an off time around 4 o'clock so maybe they had a skeleton shift because it was a tad slow, but we will be back. The food is good. One comment about the restroom... The family/handicap restroom was not available so I went into the regular women's restroom. The toilets are extremely low there I recently had knee surgery and it was extremely difficult to maneuver. Not asking to change everything up, but I think it would be a great idea to put handrails in one of the toilet stalls in the ladies room.

I had the scallops with risotto which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Hats off to anyone who can cook a risotto well and they do it perfectly. I started with clam chowder that while could've been a little hotter, was thick and delicious. Other people in the party had eggplant Parmesan, which reportedly was terrific, chicken Parmesan that was cooked beautifully with lots of grilled chicken a lovely marinara that was topped with lots of cheese and spiced. The ancient grain risotto was again fantastic, and anyone who can cook a risotto well deserves kudos. The dessert I had the strawberry shortcake that wasn't too sweet and had a beautiful flavor of fresh strawberries throughout with lots of whipped cream. The Keylime pie was tart and delicious. The Brooklyn layered chocolate cake was tremendous layers of cake and frosting. It was just a perfect rendition of a chocolate cake. Last but not least was the coconut cake which rivals my favorite coconut cake in the world from Max A Mia. The Abigail's version was a bit lighter, but equally as delicious with coconut frosting that really hit the spot and is worth the trip back. The bill came to $317 and with a $60 tip for outstanding service and a wonderful Mother's Day meal

Their menu offers a variety of choices, including options that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. The women's restroom on the second floor was originally Abigail's bedroom. Heard it's haunted after 10pm by Abigail, the original tavern owner's wife who was murdered, haunts the place, but we didn't see any paranormal activities or ghosts. We would definitely come back and suggest you give this place a try if you are in Weatogue, CT and Simsbury, CT.

I saw on their social page that Redstone has really stepped up their game of late. Think a new menu, lower prices, a super simplified Happy Hour (Every menu item & drink is $3 OFF), Weekly Specials, a lunch menu, and special events Trivia Tuesdays, Game Night Thursdays, and Wine & Whiskey Wednesdays. Our server Josh was great, super friendly and helpful. With the Happy Hour discount, we bought 2 Mich Lights for $3 a pop, a BLT with chips for $13. And a chicken quesadilla for $13. The BLT had quite a bit of bacon, and likewise, the quesadilla had quite a bit of chicken. We were very happy with our Happy Hour experience. Nice job reinventing yourself, Redstone.
