I am writing this on behalf of my 80+ year old neighbor. Two young people from DaBella came to look at her project (replacing a sliding glass door) and give her a quote. She told them muliple times that she would need to think about it, but they would not accept that. After SIX hours of high pressure tactics she ended up writing them a check for the down payment just to get them to leave. She later called and said she did not want to use their company but was refused a refund of her down payment. I think it is deplorable that this company preys on elderly people with their high pressure sales tactics. read more

We were getting quotes for a replacement for our roof. First off, he showed up in a tiny little white car with no company markings on it so I had no idea who he was or why he was there. Then, the guy that came to our house seemed to be a little off put that I was the one there to talk to and not my husband. I counted 10 times he asked me when my husband was going to be home or saying how he wished my husband was there. He quoted me almost 40,000 for the roof not including the taking off and putting back on our solar panels. I kept telling him that we were going to be doing multiple other quotes the following day he but kept trying to convince me to go with them right then and there. I told him no, not until we get other quotes, I don't know how many times. He dropped the price down to 33,000 if I said yes but he just would not listen and i told him that this is a very large purchase and I am not going to be pressured into something like this so quickly but he still kept pushing. He was also very interested in the names of the other companies because he wanted to tell me if they were good companies or not. I did not have the names so he seemed a little bummed about that. I have a lot of patience but when I kept getting asked when the husband will be home I finally called my husband to tell him what was happening and how I was not thrilled with this guy. Luckily, my husband was a couple of minutes away and got home to see what the deal was. The guy went through the whole thing again with him. Got the price down to 27,000 but was telling us that we HAD to make a decision right then and there. My husband told him that we are doing the other quotes the next day and that he knew his selling tactics because he had to go through the same thing many years ago when he was a salesman and it wasn't going to pressure him. I remember that he also tried to guilt trip me into saying yes because it was taking time out of his day and taking other possible sales away from him. I caught him in at least 2 lies and one of them being that there weren't very many reviews on Yelp and all there reviews were great and that because they are part of the BBB they are the best. I have seen many companies part of the BBB and have a large amount of complaints so that held no validity for me and while we were talking I checked yelp and saw the reviews. Not only all of this, my folks went with DaBella for their siding and they were charged twice as much as they should have been. Then, the quality was very spotty and they had to have multiple things fixed. It took over a year to get someone out to their house to get this issues fixed as well. We most definitely did not go with DaBella and all of the other places we got quotes from were half the price and the company we went with has 5 stars, did not pressure us, was very down to earth, and been doing this profession for 25+ years. This is the most frustrating experience of my life. We had insurance come by and say we needed a new roof. I THOUGHT I got the DaBella Co off of Angi's list. I interviewed 4 roofers and DaBella had what I thought was the best bid. 1. They come in like Time Share salesmen. It is heavy handed and very pushy. They were my 4th company I talked with so I just thought I was tired. But they were very invasive. Should have been trigger #1. 2. The roofing crew would randomly stop by and drop stuff off and then they started the project. No one spoke English and my Spanish is limited. I have no complaints with the roofing crew. I wish there would have been an English speaking supervisor. 3. I repeatedly called the "project supervisor", Jake Alfahed who repeatedly blew me off. I think he came once to look at the project. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he refused. He said he could pencil me in for 15 min on a Friday and I said no thank you. Then he said he'd schedule me for Monday morning. Again, he shows up at 11:45 and left at noon. The roof was rippling along the edges and it made me nervous. 4. I asked to speak with the roofer, who was contracted with DaBella. I was (and am) concerned with the rippling on the edges. The roofer came by and said he was going to roll the edges. 5. When the project was theoretically done, I asked if it was ok to put the solar panels back up and was assured it was ok. So I had them reinstalled. 6. THEN the roofers came back and installed the rest of the roof. They didn't do a small garage. So they were up on the roof, after the solar panels were installed and I'm just praying no damage was done. 7. Then the roofing supervisor came by and rolled the edges. He did explain it would take heat to get the edges to lay flat. (I should say that our roof is flat so regular roofing wouldn't be possible) 8. DaBella sent a trainee to come collect the final payment. He was rude, would not give me a receipt for payment and walked out after I got a little irritated at him showing up, on a Friday with no notice at 5:00 as we were getting ready for dinner. 9. DaBella REFUSES to give me a final receipt for work done, nor do I have the "50 year" warranty in hand, nor the inspection report. 10. Today, two weeks after work was completed, after we had a huge rain storm, the roof on the whole front of the house is rippling. About 1". They said they would make out a service order. No "oh no, I'm sorry". Nothing. Just a service order. 11. I phone the roofer and said he'd come out to roll the roof. Again. This is clearly not the issue. This company is to be avoided at all costs. They have cheated me, been less than honest, have never given me a receipt for work completed or an inspection report. This was a very expensive project and should have been done right. We felt pressured and rushed to sign a contract. We signed it and then read reviews (backwards) and started asking questions on what the salesman told us. For instance he stated there was a Lifetime warranty on the shower. We then read it was a limited lifetime warranty and read many reviews that DaBellas didn't honor the warranty by many customers. We asked for a copy of the lifetime warranty and the salesman said he didn't have a copy of it. We ended up canceling the contract (you only have 3 days to cancel in Idaho). We ended up hiring a company to send a telegram by the deadline. It cost us $371.00 to send the telegram but that was worth every penny since it could have cost us thousands. read more

They came out and sold me Hardee's siding, I think I was taken in by the salesman. It cost me almost 50,000 for a 2200 square foot house, Then they sent a crew of 4 non of which could speak English and no supervisor for the crew. They were here for 3 days with no porta potty and no dumpster. We had to wait a week for a dumpster to arrive and they came out a couple of days later to load the old siding. Then I checked out the job they did and they screwed up on the top of the windows, I requested that they come out and fix the problem and when they finally sent 2 guys out, again neither one could speak English and when I called and complained within minutes those to had taken off because I mentioned to costumer service that I was tempted to call ICE. Since all my Mexican friends can speak English. I'm still waiting for someone to come out and fix the siding. I would never recommend this company. I'm a 70 yr old woman and I feel like they've completely taken advantage of me. read more

Was lied to start to finish. Made to sign contracts so that employees received bonuses even though work is not complete. The work is not up to code or warranty standards. The GM, Dustin, promised me the work would be done to my satisfaction and came to my house to force me to sign paperwork of completion so that employees made sales goals and bonuses. I have all the work on camera, all the conversations recorded. The siding/soffits, fascia is the worst with multiple areas not having a true weather protection area. other areas are "patched" solely with caulking. I've sent them over 200 pictures of the poor workman's ship and lack of industry standards. Was promised it would get fixed and it hasn't. Was also promised a partial refund, which amount has not been disclosed. They did not clean up the construction site at all. I still have nails, screws, sharp shards of metal, and wood, as well as small pieces of the construction material everywhere. I am disabled and was told they are a family business that cares and they would take care of me as most days I can barely walk due to multiple physical disabilities. Almost 95k later and my house is not protected from the weather. It is not an investment in my property due to the quality issues. Extremely disappointed with the lies and concerns about bonuses over customers. They take advantage of people with disabilities. I will be filing with the construction licensing board, the BBB, the third party financing companies, and getting a construction lawyer. If able, I will also be contacted Medicare to see if this falls under fraud, waste, and abuse. They have placed my home, property, person, and service dog in pearl multiple times even after explaining the issues. I had to clean up the back yard with a tiny magnet meant to grab screws when doing small jobs, so that my dog, myself, and the person I pay to mow my yard didn't step on them or cause sharpnal putting others in harm. I was told that I should not be talking to the contractors onsite, by Dustin, but most don't understand english either and would pack up and disappear when issues arose. There is a total lack of communication from the sales team to the coordinators in office, contractors, subcontractors, etc. They do not know what is included in their work order because it isn't communicated completely by the team in the office. I am here to talk about Debella, a roofing and window company. We needed new windows in our guest room, so I searched for a window company, and this one seemed like it would be acceptable. You never know what you're going to get when calling a company with no references. Their sales team came out and they were terrific! They worked with us and with their office so we could get exactly what we wanted. They were expensive but beautiful. When the windows came in the installers were here to install them. They told us it would take them 2 hours and that's the amount of time it took them from start to finish. The windows are stunning. The installers left. Now comes the problem with DEBELLA. The installers removed the window coverings and the clips that hold them on. They told us they were in the way and had to come down. Actually, they were installed above the window opening. They won't come back and put the window clips back in and the window covering back up. We cannot use the room. Both my husband and I are older (80'S) and disabled and we are unable to put them up. I have explain this to the company management several times and we needed someone to come out to our house and install these items. Management agreed every time we called they would have the installers come back and finish the job. Yesterday I was sent an online survey by the company asking me how they did, and I didn't give them a very good review. Last night I received a call from management saying that they would be out the next day if I would change the review before 5:00pm because if I sent it in the way I had written it, it would go to corporation and it would affect the amount of work his installers would be given. I didn't want them to lose any work, so I changed the review. He promised me he would call me in the morning. HE FLAT OUT LIED TO ME!! No phone call, No Text. We stayed around the house waiting for him to come finish the job. He just lied so he would look good to his bosses. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I got a quote from this company that was easily more than double the quotes I got from two other companies. $71k vs $23k and $28k. They use high pressure tactics. They will take a lot of your time to try and wear you down. They had probably close to 100 photos of my roof they went through. After a couple of shots of exposed nails I got it. But they continued with photo after photo after photo of the same stuff. After I got the roof replaced by another company, they have called me multiple times inquiring about my windows and siding. The guy who called today simply wouldn't take no for an answer that I wasn't interested. I asked him why would I even consider a quote for those things given how outrageously priced their roof quote was! I had to hang up on him just to end the conversation. When the sales guy of the company who installed my roof came buy to pick up a check (this was after the roof was installed - no pre pay required) I asked him if he'd heard of DaBella and he laughed and pretty much said that he's heard the same complaints from multiple people who they've installed roofs for. DaBella, if you are listening I would cut the pressure and build a real reputation for quality workmanship and service. Listen to your potential customers and respect them. The quality of the product is good, but the service is atrocious! I was assured my roof would be installed by 'trained' installers. Well one thing they overlooked in the training was how to speak English. NOT ONE person on my roof could answer any questions or respond to any concerns I had, like the fact they were dropping nails everywhere including my neighbors driveway! They had as part of their service that they would collect all nails and debris after the job. They did one sweep around the house, after that they never returned though the manager promised over and over that they would. We had solar panels that had to be removed and replaced as part of the job, the solar folks Blue Raven handled that but after the re-install the Dabella folks were supposed to check and see if there was any damage during the re-install, though requested repeatedly and always assured by the manager it was going to happen it has never been done. We had Leafguard filters on our gutters. The Dabella installers removed them and replaced them and damaged them to where they no longer function properly. We're talking twisted, mangled and no longer locked in. Never use these people they lie and lie and lie. read more

I am writing this on behalf of my daughter, son-in-law, and 2 young grandkids. Dabella came door-to-door and sold a roof and all new windows to the kids. The work was completed (finally after months and months of waiting yet still paying for everything), and immediately noticed the rear sliding door was installed upside down. Then rainy season came and noticed water coming in through some of the windows. This has caused extensive damage now. Dabella came and installed flashing on the roof as it wasn't done in the original install. They were non responsive after months and months of attempting to get in touch with Dustin, the "manager". This kid couldn't manage a kool-aid stand, let alone a business of this size! I ended up personally showing up at his office and getting into a verbal altercation. Shortly thereafter, he called and apologized and said they would be handling 100% of the repairs. Well that was over a month ago and zero comms since. The home has no insulation or sheetrock on an outside wall, no carpeting and still has leaking windows. It's pathetic these guys are still high pressure selling and God knows what bridge the contractors they use live under. We are going to sue them for 10x what the original damages are. The level of unprofessionalism with businesses that think they can get away with these practices has got to stop. read more

I got a bid to replace my roof from 5 contractover the span of one month (DaBella) was the last one who came in literally double what the 2nd highest estimate was. My roof has 30 squares, and I had average estimates between $16,000 to $22,000 to replace. DaBella came in at a starting price of $42,000 (basic before upgrades) Truly Unbelievable!!! So then the pulled the "Let me call my manager to get the lowest 1 time offer price", in which they were able to cut it down to $24,000. THEY LITERALLY REMOVED SAID THEY CAN TAKE OFF $20,000. If that doesn't tell you how much they are marking up and overpriced everything, I don't know what to tell you. Then after politely asking them to leave and not call me again. I have since that original estimate had not 1, not 2, not 3 repeat calls following up to ask if I've made a decision. The previous 2 calls I am pretty sure I got my point across about how their company is the biggest scam artists and over inflated price gouging contractors I've ever seen. We had the siding of our home replaced. Our first problem was the workers they sent spoke no English. The second issue was these workers had to remove our Air conditioner disconnects and did a poor job reinstalling it. The worst problem is that they did not calk seams properly. These seams are 30 ft long and 12 foot off the ground. I struggle with balance issues that far off the ground. My salesman Colson Dobson has promised that these issues will be resolved quickly. Their presentation was interesting and the windows they were offering are very high quality, and very expensive, but they overstayed their welcome (they were here for 3 hours!) to the point that my husband had to be almost rude to get them to leave. We had told them from the beginning that we wouldn't be able to afford window replacement, yet they continued to push and push. I questioned some of their tactics and kind of felt that they were trying to take advantage of us because we are older, but maybe they are just that pushy to everyone? Maybe. If you think high pressure, predatory sales tactics is ok then go with DaBella. If you think $30,000 is a fair price to replace 6 windows and 2 sliding doors, then go with DaBella. If you don't mind them leaving a bunch of broken glass in your yard where your kids play and more in the street where you park your car, then go with DaBella. If you don't care if they don't properly disclose the fact that they placed a lien on your property to use your house as collateral for their loan, then by all means... The salesperson told me the trim would be painted, but I guess it's my fault for not getting it in writing, right? This company has no integrity at all. The whole process was very disappointing. The salesperson pressured me into giving him a 5 star review and insisted that I close a deal same day. At one point they even offered a $100 prepaid visa card for my troubles... then never sent it to me. How sleezy can one company be? If DeBella is in the area then hide your kids, hide your wives, and lock your doors. 1 star really is too much. Meridian Idaho After searching for a reputable siding contractor, I lit upon DaBella. Two of the competitors offered siding, but did not investigate underlying issues with our very old home. The product is fantastic...Hardie board. The sales pitch was what was expected from the two "closers." The pricing was a little high but within industry standards, as found by a deep dive in siding installation. The crew sent out was fast and adaptable. Although English was not their first language, I had no issues in conveying my needs. Only one issue that needs attention and expectations are high that it will be resolved. Initial inspection indicated 5 replacement panels for damaged plywood. We ended up replacing 34 due to severely damaged panels. This went off in a proper and orderly manner, and the crew was efficient in the repair. Although the house is not "even" front to back, they adjusted accordingly. Clean up was a bit haphazard, but considering my home looked like a NEW construction zone for a week, I made it work. Overall...I am very satisfied. Very professional. The second project (completed first) was a new roof. After being presented with the type of shingle intended to be installed, I did a deep dive in the product. Top of the line. The intention to repair all of the issues from the roof install was huge. 5 replacement panels of damaged plywood was included and fixed issues not done 10 years ago when the current roof was installed. They blended the roof onto a breezeway cover I had installed. Our roof is quirky and has an interesting roof line. DaBella made all of the proper adjustments to repair three leaky areas not addressed by the previous roof contractor. The sales push I experienced was not as severe as I had read in the comments section. Cody and Griffon were amazing and concise in the product explanation. I never felt that there was undue pressure or that either were disingenuous in conversation. Although they under-estimated the damage that was presented to the install crews, they/DaBella made good on what was quoted. Our home looks "brand New" and a far cry from the original farmhouse from the 60s. read more

Unfortunately, I gave them my number, thinking I needed to think it over when it's a better time, and if I'm not interested still when they call I can ignore the call and they'll drop it. This company has called me 42 times since April 9th. In the last few weeks, it has been twice a day, as late as 8:15 PM. I blocked their number because it was so intrusive. They came to my house again yesterday. This is harassment. I have never used their services, I am not interested in their services - more so now because of their constant calling. What a mistake... Reached out because I need a roof replacement on my house and am getting bids from a few contractors. Didn't realize that I was contacting a huge predatory corporation. They prey on folks that need financing and only think in terms of monthly payments... I am paying cash for the roof but they were still throwing the monthly payment out there repeatedly. I feel like as a whole, they probably brainwash their sales team to make them feel like they are helping people out. The sales guys that came out were very friendly but they waste a ton of time going through their product line, even though I repeatedly said "Thanks guys, I don't need the whole break down, I just want the quote". Finally, after at least an hour of going through their whole routine, they smack a quote down that is triple, I repeat TRIPLE what another local professional roofing company quoted. My house is 27 squares and their quote was $35,000. That's right, Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars! Then after I said I am really not interested, he called his manager and got it knocked down to $33K. This call seemed scripted and maybe like he really didn't call anyone. Then went into how, since I am selling my house, I will not pay anything for the roof because I can just ask for 30K more than listing price because of the transferable warranty. Yeah, that is how life works... Last thing: Go look at the career opportunities on their website. Every position is in sales or setting appointments. They claim that all of their installation is done in house. We are in a construction laborer crisis here. You would think that there would be at least a few installer positions open. Knowing we were going to refinance, we asked the 2 sales folks multiple times "the financing won't be attached to the house, correct?" and we were assured it wouldn't, otherwise we would not have done it. 6 months later, we go to refinance and there is a lien on the house from AquaFinance, the ones who financed our roof. The sales people from Dabella's offered to build Rome (new roof installation) in 3 days with all kinds of guarantees of satisfaction. The 'office lady' was very kind and helpful until I signed the 'financial' completion certification indicating the roof was in fact installed. The lender needs this certification of completion for them to write a check to Dabella. Again, DON'T SIGN IT (they will pressure you to sign it, but don't), that is your only leverage to hold Dabella's accountable for their work; very sad to say, but true. I have reached out several times requesting a final walk through, but no final walk through by Dabella has been made. Would I recommend Dabella? I had a very similar experience as Lacy U. I had a windows demo at my house. The sales tactics were high pressure. The sales rep called her boss and learned that they had leftover windows from another job that just happened to be the same size as my windows. She could offer me a special price on those windows. Note that she had just measured my windows and had not communicated those measurements. Does anyone fall for this? Two weeks later I got a request for a review of the sales visit and demo. I was honest about the tactics. Since then, I have received 39 calls from the sales rep. I blocked the number two months ago, but the calls don't stop. I just filled out a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I began our appointment stating I would not be making a decision that day as I had more estimates scheduled. At the end of their presentation Dylan Tindell became sarcastic, demeaning and aggressive. I actually stood and stated the appointment was over and they continued to sit on my sofa and said they had to call in. I would have gotten more assertive but my daughter was there and I didn't want to scare her. I felt beat up by the time they finally left and the negativity from the encounter hung on like after you've been in a car accident and are stunned. I entered into that appointment with good intentions but now would spend more in order to avoid doing business with a company that institutes these sales tactics! read more

Please do not use this company. It is quite literally a scam. The roof will cost you at least twice as much as it should. They will take shortcuts. They will not complete the gutter work. If they do complete the gutter work, they will leak and not slope. I paid way too much for a horrible job. Instead, go with someone local. I wish I would've contacted an attorney. I got roped into it. I usually don't fall for these things but their presentation was just so great. Now I'm stuck making ridiculous payments on a really crappy job. The gutter job was the worst. I honestly could've done a better job myself. They told me they were going to paint the facia after they installed the gutters. The guy that came out to install the facia told me there was no such thing. That they never painted the facia. They also had the blueprints where the gutters would go completely wrong. They ended up agreeing to paint the facia and when they came out to do it, the guy was such an amateur he dripped paint all over my entire walkway and patio; a lot of paint. I ended up taking the paint and finishing the job myself. The gutters leaked from day one and they did not slope. Instead, they drip from the very middle where the seam is. The gutters are literally pointless. They left dangerous pieces of metal and trash all around my yard and around my house every evening. They never cleaned up after the job was done and even at that it was a half assed job. I had a three-year-old at the time and she could've easily got injured just playing in the yard. I picked up quite a bit of the trash they would leave behind every day not just from the job, but there are soda bottles and personal trash as well. It was a disgusting and infuriating experience. I wanted to put this out there since I'm seeing their ads again now. I didn't even realize they were still around. Scams like this should be put out of business. read more

These guys tried to pressure my mom into signing a 37k contract(which was brought down from 45k somehow), and was told the deal was only good for that day, otherwise it will go up by tomorrow. I kicked him out and said no thanks. They came back a week later with the "big guns" veteran salesman after I tell them I got another quote for 22k. They then try to offer me 30k. Again, its a now or never deal. They use high pressure sales tactics to force you into a bad contract deal. They started at 45 k, only after I said no did he make a call and somehow knock 8 thousand dollars off. After saying no again to the 2nd salesman, they somehow knocked another 7k off? Clearly they were trying to overcharge my mom for at least 15 k over the price they came back with a week later. These salesman work hard for their commission, but who wouldn't - when you can make 5k commission in 4 hours of overselling someone, BSing them, then pressuring them to sign "now or never". Say no and watch them come back groveling with a 50% discount they pull out of thin air. Hilarious. read more

Don't even want to leave one star. We financed our overpriced roof from Dabella thru Salal credit union. Their finance company. Salesman Blake did not tell us they automatically put a lien on your home. We tried to refinance and it made it almost impossible. The refused to bill our insurance. Roofers broke things and urinated in our yard. I had offered to let them use our restroom. read more

Our bid was at least double what other comparable bidders brought to us. It seems that their pricing sets a consumer up for a major financing need, which they will readily approve. They are quite pushy and just want to 'seal the deal,' without answering questions adequately. I'm not sure how they stay in business, honestly. We settled in Point roofing. read more
