We had dinner here while staying in Wengen and it immediately became our favorite spot. It's authentic Italian food and family run, what's not to love about that?! The staff was very courteous and inviting, the atmosphere was chill and homey, and the food was outstanding! No, really, I didn't expect our favorite meal of the trip to be Italian but they nailed it. Things kicked off with some GREAT bruschetta and just went up from there. The pizza is good here, but we found their other food underwhelming. My friend and I came by Da Sina twice during our stay in Wengen. The first time, we ordered their vegetarian pizza (27 CHF for a large) to go and ate on our hotel balcony. Even though the pizza had unconventional toppings like broccoli and green beans, we still really enjoyed it and decided to come back to Da Sina a second time to try their dine in. For dine in, we stopped by Friday evening around 7 pm and snagged one of the last available tables indoors. They have a nice patio as well, but it was a bit chilly outside as the sun set so I wanted to sit indoors. We already had pizza from here just a couple days before, so we decided to try something else. Most of their non-pizza menu is pasta, though they have some meat dishes as well as burgers. I got the mushroom ravioli in bolognese sauce for 29 francs, and my friend got their chicken burger for 23 francs. We both didn't like our dishes. While the portion was generous, not all of the ravioli pieces tasted fully cooked, and the chicken in my friend's chicken burger was really hard to chew (probably way overcooked). He ended having to take the chicken out of the burger and cut it up with his knife and fork. We left very underwhelmed and would only recommend this place for their pizza. read more

Funny thing is we came mainly for the veggie burger. Someone from many years ago had told our friend about how good it was. It was pretty fantastic. Their own veggie patty. Huge size. The real star for me was their pasta. The aglio olio was fantastic. Ravioli a; funghi with bolognese was really good as well. The risotto al funghi porcini was a little watery but still very good. Everybody's favorite was probably the Pacchero Scarpariello. Simple tomato sauce with garlic, but so good. The caprese pizza (with bufalo mozzarella) was good but a little heavy on the cheese. Ice creams were all good. Tiramisu was solid. Don't forget to ask for the chili oil for your pizza! read more

The pasta I got was SO good. The creamy, tomato, flavor packed penne! Delicious. We had a salad that we split (all of the salads we had in Switzerland were good especially that "French" dressing, my favorite!) My husband had ordered a steak and rosemary potato's he liked too. This restaurant sits on the hill at the top of the town center. We sat outside and had spectacular views of the mountains as the sun was setting. We ordered two bottle of wine which the waiter was able to recommend for us. It had a lovely ambiance with live music playing outside, and the food was very good. We ordered the caprese to start which was a good sharing size for our family of 4. I ordered the mushroom ravioli with bolognese which was fantastic, but the eggplant was hands down the best meal here that we ordered. It was very crispy and a good sized portion with great flavor. The salmon was pretty good but definitely wouldn't ordered again. I only give it 4 stars as the service was somewhat slow and we had to wait a little longer for our meal and the check. Overall a lovely place, but be sure to request a table outside. Also a plus that they take reservations! read more

We dined at Da Sina twice in 3 nights. It was a great location with our kids. The outdoor patio is large and inside is lovely also. The food is good and the kids food is affordable. There's a playground just down the hill along the main stretch of the city and we encouraged our kids to go visit it when they had finished eating before us. read more

We have never received such average food with such poor service. Seated in a rear section of the restaurant - near the toilets - and then completely ignored for 15 minutes. When we finally asked if there was someone who could take our order, they seemed put out. We made sure to order drinks, appetizers and entrees all at once because it was pretty clear they wouldn't return to our table for some time (and they weren't terribly busy to begin with). Took forever to get the appetizer and even longer for the entree. Never once did they check in with us or ask if we would like another drink, dessert, anything. Arguably the worst service we have experienced in more than 20 years of international travel. Oh - the food was descent but nothing to write home about. Definitely not worth it for the poor service we received. I should add that my wife and I are incredibly low maintenance and were as polite as can be - I've never had to write a review like this, but really felt the poor service warranted it. read more

Best casual dining in Wengen! My family and I stopped here on a break from skiing and we were hooked. We came back every day we had left in our vacation. My mother had plastic in her burger and we didn't feel welcomed as tourists. First of all, the place wasn't busy and it took an hour after we ordered to get the food. We were told it was because of a problem with the oven but the table next to us, who arrived after us by 15 minutes and was friends with the staff, magically got their pizza first. The burgers were also served room temperature. We had to ask for bread three times before it was actually put on the table. Generally, the wait staff made us feel like it was a burden to take our order, which was very simple, two burgers and two pizzas. I would find an alternative place. read more

Da Sina is the best restaurant we found in Wengen. Flavorful and plentiful Italian pasta and pizzas. We didn't have high hopes for it given the experience we had at other restaurants. Once we tried it, we ate lunch and dinner at Da Sina for three days in a row. Still craving it! Great spaghetti bolognese, although once there wasn't enough sauce. The ravioli was amazing. We had pizzas and wine here. You don't get to choose your table (even though the place was almost empty). The food was decent, not great and so was the wine. Service was neutral - not friendly nor bad. The next night we went back to another restaurant in town, on the main road that serves fabulous goulash, pumpkin soup, and fondue. I was on vacation in Switzerland and this place was very close to my hotel so I decided to go here. They had more vegetarian options compared to other restaurants (primarily in the pizza section). We got a mushroom pizza which I enjoyed and the only vegetarian entre which was potatoes with breaded mozzarella (also good but I think it was a bit pricey for $30). Overall it was a good meal but honestly it was comparable to olive gardens (in the US). Good atmosphere (had pretty flowers and nice wall decor). read more

Bonjour wengen! We are visiting from california in US. We came in here while we were really hungry. The place is pretty nice and romantic. They light a candle on every table. The only reason it was a 3 star experience was because it took a lot of time for the server to take our order, to bring our order and to get us our check. The lady was although running all over to serve all the guests but we noticed lot of delays in getting us the service. May be they were under staffed. The place was pretty much occupied with our server running around to take orders and deliver food to various tables. There was other lady serving other tables but she seemed to be doing better than the one we got. No complains with the food. A five star food experience. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and a pasta with shrimp and also merlot to pair our pizza pasta with. Pizza was very fresh and crispy exactly the way we like it. We came here a few times during our wonderful stay in Wengen. First night was the night we arrived. My fiancé had a pizza and I had the cheese burger. He really enjoyed the pizza. The burger was good but nothing amazing (especially for the price -approx 22 Swiss francs but that's expected as Switzerland is expensive) but the fries were really yummy! Service was good all the times we went (ate in twice and picked up a pizza once) although was a bit slower the second time we ate in as they really became busy with walk ins. For the area I think this place was pretty much the best value and pizza was actually really good! Would def recommend! read more
