Had lunch at this food truck and ate at the picnic tables nearby. It took a long time to get the food but it was clearly freshly made. I had steak bahn mi which was tasty. At $15 I thought it was expensive but I think that price is typical. Dining partner had tofu with noodles that they enjoyed. There were no drinks on the menu (would have enjoyed Vietnamese coffee). Worth checking out if you are in the area.

This place rocks! Fresh and tasty Vietnamese food, and a small menu means they can do what they do well. I got the chicken with rice and it was delicious as always. I like that it comes with some greens, shredded carrots, and a generous helping of sliced cukes on the side, it helps balance the meat and rice. Add in the the crunchy peanuts and just the right amount of sauce, and it all makes for a balanced bite each time. In addition to their year-round menu, keep an eye out for the seasonal menu, too: in the winter they serve delicious bowls of pho, and I've had some tasty fruit-based desserts in the summers.

This is a food cart that we visited when it was outside of Thinking Tree. I went Saturday with a friend and brought my husband back on Tuesday bc it was so good. Simple premise: pick your protein, then pick your base (rice, vermicelli noodles, salad, sandwich). I'm a sucker for noodles, so grilled chicken and noodles for me. Came with a lil side salad and some pickled carrots- so good. Hubs got chicken and rice and he REALLY enjoyed it. On my visit with my hubs it took a LONG time to get our food. I wasn't counting but my stomach was and it was WAY longer than when I went on Saturday. So I checked back and they had accidentally marked our order as completed. So they were very apologetic and refunded one of our meals. Mistakes happen, it's how they are handled that matters, so they made me really happy with their response. Then they worked hard to get us our food as fast as they could. Added bonus that we were outside of thinking tree, so we could snag a drink. Can't wait to go back.

The service was normal. I feel like for a food truck it wasn't anything surprising as well. We brought the food home(we ordered a rice bowl with chicken and the 2 bowls of noodles with beef) and we're excited to see what this place had to offer since we hadn't really seen a place talking about the city of Da Nang which we assumed would mean the food would live up to the expectations of this big city. We were a bit disappointed with many things. First and foremost the house sauce was comparable to sugar water and there was little to none of it to have with the food. Not only that, but the rice AND the noodles were overcooked and aside from having hints of Vietnamese flavor, this place missed the mark entirely. The portions were reasonable and there were hints of that flavor, but we just didn't have an enjoyable experience from this Vietnamese food. Hope things change soon!

You can't put some strange broth in a bowl w/flat rice noodles and slices of chicken breast in an Asian designed bowl and call it pho. Plus I clearly specified no onions, and that was completely ignored. I'm done. Will never return. Will not recommend.

It's Friday and unusually warm for January. This calls for the on-point fresh flavors of Vietnamese, a glass of white Pinot Noir and a picnic table. Fortunately all can be achieved at Da Nang's food cart at Oregon Wine Lab. Not feeling hearty enough for outdoor seating? No problem, inside OWL is cozy and friendly. My personal favorite from DaNang is chicken grilled to perfection over rice noodles with all the toppings; fried shallots, peanuts, garlic chili sauce. The tofu in fragrant tomato sauce is a close 2nd. But honestly all options, beef, chicken or tofu over rice, noodles, baguette or salad greens are fresh, flavorful, satisfying and well priced. (Check the hours before you head over for lunch or dinner).

Goddang, Da Nang, I'm always jonesing for you. Nothing cracks my whip at lunch time (or any time) like a boatful of your yummy noodles loaded with succulent steak, fresh minty greens and cucs, loaded up with all the good stuff - peanuts, cilantro and smothered with chili sauce. I'm not sure how they do it, but their marinated steak is melt-in-your-mouth tender goodness. Incredible flavor. Whenever I'm eating it I feel like a boss because I know there's absolutely nothing I could be doing that could be any better. While the noodle boats are where I jam (because I love me some noodles), the Banh Mi is the best sandwich I've found in town. A pillowy baguette loaded up with a generous pile of steak and all those damn toppings isn't losing any best-of contests to anyone or anything! Where I think Da Nang really wins is their all-star peeps that run that food cart like a championship race car driving team. They kill it day in and day out, super friendly service and they never miss a beat even when they're rammed with orders. Ordering online for pickup is a cinch through Doordash, but sometimes I just call 'em up. You'll likely encounter a line when you arrive, so calling or ordering online about 30-45 minutes ahead of pickup is a wise idea. Bonus material: this is a great spot to chill in the summer (or any season for that matter). The patio area is a little nook in the shade underneath a thick canopy of trees, and you can just grab yourself a glass of wine from Oregon Wine Lab and a boat of noodles and just hang. On a more personal note, these guys were one of the lone bright spots during my teleworking days during the Covid lockdowns. Getting out of the house and walking a few blocks and seeing their friendly (masked) faces made my damn day!

This food cart was one of the first I visited when I moved to Eugene, and I still visit it regularly. The flavors are fresh and well seasoned. The rose lychee cheese cake was a special for Valentine's Day, and it was the best cheesecake I have ever had. I hope they make this special again. If you are vegan, let the staff know since their dishes and sauce for the salad contain fish sauce.

I just had their beef short ribs with rice and it was SO GOOD! It was a little bit hard to eat since they were bone-in, but they were so delicious. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other meats! I had Da Nang while they were at the Food Truck Fest and they were very quick with getting my food out. I have been wanting to try them since we moved to Eugene three years ago, but I just never seem to get out and visit any food trucks. I'm glad they were at the Food Truck Fest!

Outstanding food. Went there 2 days in a row. Tried their tofu bahn mi, steak noodles and also the tofu noodles. Ordered food and sat inside Wine Research and had could of drinks and the food was delivered inside Wine Research. Only downside is their limited open times. read more

Hands down one of the best steak bánh mì I've ever had. The meat was perfectly grilled and marinated with lemongrass and garlic. The cucumber and pickled daikon added a great crunch. It is also right by the Oregon wine lab, so you can't beat that! read more

cute place and the employees are always great. love that there are vegan options, the tofu rice bowl is tasty, although it does come with fish sauce (thought it was vegan my first time getting it) make sure to request without fish sauce for a yummy veg option. The vegan pho was okay, nothing spectacular, but good on a cold night. Check this place out if you're looking for a yummy food truck, I'll be back to try the tofu banh mi :) read more

I wanted to grab a quick/light dinner on the go, and had been curious to try the Da Nang food cart. I was not disappointed; I ordered a bahn mi. The baguette was warm and soft, and stuffed with chicken, sauces, fresh grated carrot, and cilantro. Service was polite, and the nearby wine bar offers a place out of the rain to wait. read more

Fresh and flavorful Vietnamese cooking. A variety of combinations available between their protein and 'boat' options. And if you do for some odd reason grow tired of their menu, they are constantly updating it with specials and promotions. It is obvious the owners have a huge passion for what they do. Had a fantastic lunch today (11/17/17) at Danang's one week "Pop Up" at Mame (open through next Tuesday). Pho, crispy chicken wings, tiny (really, really tiny!) baby clam lettuce wraps, water spinach, and today's special seafood noodle soup. Excellent food, very friendly people, in Mame's tiny dining room while Taro Rose and Patrick take a well-earned week's vacation. (Taro reportedly says he's "catching up on five years of sleep! The good: The tofu was cooked perfectly. The tomato sauce on my noodles was very flavorful. The salad was cool and fresh on a hot day. The person taking my order asked if peanuts, hot sauce, and fish sauce were okay. The to-go container is even compostable! The bad: It did not taste like Vietnamese cuisine. It was like eating an Asian version of spaghetti, with peanuts and spice - not what I was expecting to be eating. And the little cup of sauce that comes with the meal was mostly sweet, not complex in flavor. Next time, I'll go to Tam's Place Vietnamese Cuisine. Their sauce and food is excellent. read more

Came here for the first time and ordered the baguette with steak. Phenomenal to say the least. Unbelievably soft, fluffy baguette with a lightly toasted crust filled with deliciously marinated steak, pickled veggies, lettuce and cucumbers, and an addictive sauce (maybe a mayo or something?). The ratio of meat, veggies, to bread was perfect. Coming from Portland, where there are banh mi shops everywhere, this is hands down my favorite viet sandwich I've had thus far. Awesome food cart choice for anyone ranging from those who grew up eating Viet food to those who have never tried. They'll get you hooked. Additionally, customer service was on point and wait time was minimal. I'm really hoping that these guys open a location up in Portland! Can't wait to come back and try the noodles next time! read more

Love this place, the tofu Banh Mi is a delicacy. I did not love the vegan pho but I don't doubt it's because of my unsophisticated palette, nothing was wrong with it it just wasn't for me. In my opinion, just about the best food truck in town. Fresh, fragrant, delicious. I have brought many friends here and all have had great things to say! Love eating this alongside the wine at the Wine Lab, where they are parked most days. My husband is not a huge fan of Vietnamese food like I am and absolutely loves this. We always get the Bahn Mi and the rice. I'm hungry just thinking about it! read more

A great local food cart opened by two awesome guys. Their passion for what they do is evident in all of their food and there is nothing I would not recommend. All of the fresh ingredients are well complemented with savory, spicy, tangy and slightly sweet flavor profiles. The chicken banh mi is one of my favorite items here. The bread is lightly toasted on the grill and then packed full of fresh veggies, grilled meat and their special sauce. The chicken is moist, incredibly flavorful and perfectly grilled. It could stand all alone but is over the top incredible in the sandwich. Their tofu salad is my other favorite item here. The lettuce is paired with thick slices of cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon radish and a hint of fresh mint. They use a firm tofu, deep fry it (in a fryer that's solely for the tofu for any vegetarians out there), and toss it in a ridiculously good tomatoey sauce. Try everything here because you really cannot go wrong. read more

Yes! So good! super fresh, super delicious yet simple and just all around great. The price is spot on too and doesn't hurt your pocket book at all. you get to choose your protein (beef, chicken or tofu) choose what it goes on (bun(rice noodles), Salad greens or can have it on a french roll) they also have Pho which i need to try. catch these guys if you can. They are at Ninkasi on Sunday's fairly regularly but they also are at other places all over town on other days. read more

Yes, the coveted 5 star, but I should explain, it is actually because Yelp does not have 100 stars. This is actually a 100 star place. Their story is great, their food is better, their online presence is spot on, their offerings are straightforward without being unimaginative, the ingredients fresh and delicious, there is nothing about this place that I would change. Well, one thing, I would have some sort of mechanism to make the reciept look like I just filled up my car with gas or something so my wife would not know I ate 4 sandwiches for 10 bucks a pop. That would help a lot. read more

Consistently amazing food day in and day out. I've never had a bad experience here. The people are amazing and the food is even better! The steak is some of the most tender I've ever had, the sauce on the tofu, and the char on the chicken makes choosing your protein nearly impossible. Love this spot. read more

One of my favorite Eugene lunch stops. I usually get the chicken or steak banh mi. Service is always excellent, and food is hot and fresh. Location is great, and it's nice to be able to grab a beer from next door to enjoy with the food. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

The two working were both very kind and helpful. I know nothing, literally nothing, about Filipino food. So I asked if any of it had seafood in it, as I don't eat seafood. The answer was no, so I just picked one of the four options, and pointed to the picture. I always feel like an idiot when I have to point at something to order it, but the woman taking my order reached out the window to point at the same one so we were on the same page. She was very accommodating to me and I appreciate that. I'm still not entirely sure what I ate, but it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were pretty decent too. I am full and still get to take some home to my husband. Ambiance is a food truck pod on River Road that I'd never been to before. It is bigger than I expected, with several other nearby trucks that I want to try. Would I return? Yes! Definitely yes. This friend has never steered me wrong when it comes to finding amazing small local business to support, and this is a great one. I'll definitely come back again. Review 32 of 2025.

My first time trying Banh Mi and Da Nang has made me a fan! I had the steak Banh Mi and the meat, vegetables, sauce, and baguette were all excellent and the flavors went really well together. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful, also a little spicy but just the right amount for me. My boyfriend and I stopped by while they were at the Oregon Wine Lab Saturday night and the atmosphere there was super pleasant. We got to sit outside in the beautiful weather with live music, I had a nice glass of wine and the food was wonderful! My boyfriend had the steak with rice and also really enjoyed his. It came with a little vegetable mix as well and some fish sauce that he really liked. I have been excited about trying this food cart since it opened just recently and was not disappointed! I will be back! If you're looking for where to find them they update their instagram (@danangeatery) with their locations frequently and were super quick to respond when I commented with a question about where they would be stationed on a particular day! read more

Having been in Vietnam and eating the street food, my taste buds were filled with sweet anticipation the first time I smelled their food. Now, having tried many of the choices, I have chosen the beef noodle soup as my all over favorite. I came back from New York recently with bad bad cold (flu?) and the soup raised my spirits enough to soldier on. And they are in front of Oregon Wine LAB!!! read more

We were walking, just taking in the area around Campbell House, and discovered this gem. Wow. We didn't want a full-on dinner, but something lighter and fresh, and this was it!
