Before becoming a member to any Crossfit, I recommend you to go to their Crossfit website and look at their daily workout routines and compare them with other Crossfit's WODs (work out of the day) in the area. If you want a workout that is going to leave you crawling back to your car, Da Factory Crossfit is not for you. I have done other crossfits and have walked out of their place physically exhausted that I was not able to raise my arms; Da Factory never left me with that feeling. If you YouTube Da Factory Crossfit you will see some of the routines crossfit gyms use. Sadly, most of the workouts Da Factory shows you are not done by their regular crossfit members; these workouts, which are separate from your regular crossfit membership, are for their team performance members. The majority of the time spent at Da Factory is talking. The rest, is spent doing a warm-up routine and brushing up on a skill with a PVC pipe. Da Factory insists on familiarizing different skills each day. I understand this is useful in order to prevent injuries when performing each workout, but it is not necessary when it is not even part of the workout for the day. You do not expect to be holding a PVC pipe for 15 mins when you are paying $125 a month to workout. If they want to teach us how to do a proper lift they should do so before the routine. After all the skill talk and warm-up, there was less than twenty minutes for the actual workout. One of their workouts lasted only 12 minutes. I would not recommend checking out this facility with a Goupon. As a Groupon member, I was treated differently than the regular paying members. They made me feel like I was trying to milk them for it's worth when I questioned one of the coaches about the terms on the voucher. Groupon members are stripped of their right to register for classes online and only full paying members have priority. Requests for classes were made through a coach and depending on availability, I was notified whether I had been placed in a class or not. Sometimes they forgot to e-mail me to confirm my class registration. I have decided to give Da Factory 2 stars and not 1 because of two of their coaches. They were passionate and genuinely interested in teaching me; they made sure I was working out properly. I think Da Factory has a lot of potential but first they need to treat everyone equally (this goes for giving everyone the same work out and allowing your Groupon members to choose their own classes online). They also have to kick their workouts up a notch and stop boring people to death with the daily skill talk when it is not part the WOD. Have the talk once a week and get back to what crossfit is supposed to be--bringing people to their knees and within inches of throwing up. read more

Purchased a one month unlimited Crossfit training from Groupon for $29. Classes are registered online; however, "as Groupon members, [I] did not have the right to register for [my] own classes." The coach had cancelled all of my classes that I had registered online and my account was revoked. He addressed that "class availability is first given to fully paying members." I had to make my requests at the end of each week through one of the coaches, which gave time to fully paying members in selecting their classes first. I have been placed on a waiting list many times and had to contact the coaches the day of the class to see if my requests have been granted because they have forgotten to notify me, on many occasions, whether the classes were available or not. This routine has become a tedious process which should of been stated on the Groupon voucher. Their act is unfair towards those who have purchased a Groupon to simply try out their facility. This is synonymous where a customer presents a coupon for his groceries only to find that his discount applies to yesterday's bakery goods; he is restricted because of a coupon similar to that I am restricted from scheduling my classes because I have a Groupon. And only customers who pay full price can receive the fresh bakery goods. I do not mind the lifts, squats, and challenges that I get myself in, but I refuse to partake in this hurdle. read more

After more than 3 years out of training, I wanted and needed to get back into the fitness life, but I did not want to go back to a traditional gym, where I knew that the results would not be what I wanted. I found several gyms online, including Da Factory, and I gave myself the opportunity to buy a 2-month membership. I can say today that this place is definitely what I was looking for. With classes throughout the day, of crsossfit, lean, powerlifting, and yoga, I found everything I needed to burn fat, gain muscles, tone up, be in shape, and feel healthy in a natural and correct way. Undoubtedly the best thing that Da Factory has is their coaches: Mikey, Gabriel, Gloria, Landy, Franklin, Juan Carlos, they are all incredibly professional, helpful and very patient, you can perceive that they are not just to meet a schedule and make money. They feel passion for what they do and with dedication and patience they invest time in each member to teach us how to do the exercises well, every detail of the movement, they give us encouragement and are extremely friendly and very nice, no matter what our physical condition is, how long we have been going to the gym, where we are from, or what kind of membership we pay. I greatly appreciate the day I met this place, which also has a mobile app to reserve classes and maintain a social network within the member community. Today, I can say that I see how Da Factory, with barely more than a month, has begun to change my life. Thanks to each and every one of them. I highly recommend this place. read more

Well here I go... Da Factory is awesome!!! I caught it by a friend's very good recommendation. At the beginning I was scared of falling & if I could be able to do the first class... let me tell you something guys: yes it is true that the crossfit is hard, is constant, for some people it could seems impossible, and of course it's not a piece of cake... but "Train hard or Die Trying" and this is what I've been learning in Da Factory, " Take your time, keep going and never give up." I also recommend this place for those people who does not like the boring routine of almost the gym and you do not have to be in any competition to be "William Levy" or "JLo"... The trainers and the partners are all attentative, friendly and very helpful people. This is the best that could ever happened me at the end of this year, thanks to my friend. read more

I joined da factory about two months ago and have not regretted the decision once. Having done CrossFit when I was younger, I can promise the workouts are rigorous but also friendly to the new CrossFiters! By being able to be scaled down. The coaches are all super passionate about what they do and are constantly motivating you to do better! Momo and Jourgan are two of the coaches that welcomed me into the gym and taught me so much. They are constantly checking that I have proper form and how much weight I'll attempt in the workout. Even after the workout, they've taken their time to explain more skilled movements and what protein to drink to recover my muscles. I started doing Crossfit at home in August '08. I was doing really well, improving my endurance and strength, however I got to a point where I started to plateau. My husband convinced me to try out Da Factory in the hopes that a group setting would push me past my plateau. At first I was hesitant and intimidated about going, but from the first day everyone was welcoming, supportive, and motivating. All of my worries were erased and I looked forward to making new friends and challenging myself with the workouts. I have now been going to Da Factory for about a year and have accomplished things I never imagined I would. It certainly isn't easy but if you like to be challenged and push beyond the limits you have in your mind this is the place for you. Every month I am seeing improvements in myself and my abilities, this wouldn't be possible without the amazing coaches at Da Factory. They let me know how much they believe in me even when I'm not sure myself. The coaches are always there to ensure you perform the movements correctly and safely. They have been by my side (literally) for my first pull-up, double under, toes to bar, and rope climb. I don't consider Da Factory a place just to come workout anymore, it's become an extended family. Everyone is there to support each other and no one finishes alone. woo lawd this place is great! think of it as a college course because if YOU have to pay YOU show up! everyone is friendly the coaches are attentive the gym is clean the equipment is top rate and the workouts are HARD! you get in what you put in and this place is definitely somewhere you can EARN your results. I did a drop-in here and had such a positive experience. The coach, Mike, greeted me when I arrived and made me feel right at home. I really appreciated his demoing how to do pushups properly as well as how to use the row machine. I got a lot of encouragement from the other people in the class and it was a hard workout that had me feeling great at the end. This is my goto place anytime I'm in Miami. read more

There used to be a sign up at Da Factory that read, "if you let it, this place will change you" and I'm here to tell you that it's true. I've been coming here for about 3 years now and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. One of the first things that caught my attention was that they called me by name on the first day of class (and my name is hard to pronounce, let alone remember). What that said to me was that they care about their members. I had never been to a facility where they knew me by name. And mind you, I joined when they had a groupon going on so they had about 30+ new members at that time. Another thing that makes Da Factory stand out are the coaches. They care about their members and they are always helpful. They work with you if you want to improve and they motivate you when you need it (which is always, for me). Crossfit isn't just for super athletic people who've worked out their entire lives. It is for everyone of all levels. Before Da Factory, my gym experience consisted of signing a 2-year membership at a gym, going for a week straight and never going back. Why? Because, simply put, it's boring; you don't want to go back even if they paid you. At Da Factory, you WANT to go back. It's a new workout every single day. You go in for an hour and you leave. And you don't have to think about what you're gonna do today or what muscle groups you need to work out or try to remember what machines you have to use. All you have to do is show up. I also like the fact that everyone is struggling with you-from the guy who's doing light weight to the guy who's lifting heavy. They're all sweating with you because they're doing it at their own level. Is it a little pricey, yes. But remember, you're practically paying for a personal trainer. And if you're like me, you've probably paid a gym hundreds of dollars to not even go. I really cant speak highly enough about my experience at Da Factory. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They focus on safety first, and they emphasize to push yourself, but not past your capabilities, and work with you to regress every workout. And more important for me, all the members were extremely supportive and welcoming, I felt part of the team during my first session. I have been training at Da Factory for over a year and a half. Before that I use to workout at the gym like most people. I even did a couple of body building competitions. Ever since I started at Da Factory, I have gotten so much stronger and in the best shape I have ever been. The head trainer at Da Factory is very knowledgeable and I can tell you from first hand experience that his programming really works. All of the trainers at the facility are crossfit certified. I have never left there not exhausted or thinking that the workout was too easy. However, like anything else you do, it's all in the effort you put into it. If you go there and not push yourself as hard as you can then you will not get the full benefits of the workout. Classes are an hour long but you will not workout the whole hour. When you first start class you warm up. Then the trainer goes over the workout, how to perform each movement and explains any regressions there may be. Afterwards, the trainer will spend a few minutes going over some skill work. This is very important because although that skill may not be part of the workout, the more you practice a certain movement, the better you get at doing it and unless you have been doing crossfit for years and are at the level of some of the competitors that are at the crossfit games, I'm sure you can benefit from going over a skill for a few minutes. I definitely recommend this training facility to anyone that is serious about their training. read more

Everyone at Dafactory was supportive, friendly and knowledgeable. The level of professionalism is commendable. They preached form over speed, and safety over reps. I never been to any cross fit before so this was the first experience for me. It was a great first experience for sure, the work out was very complete, it had core arms and legs. It consists of gymnastics weights and cardio, and it is a constant high intensity work out so in very little time you accomplish a lot. I read the review of the person before me saying this place did not leave them sore, this person was not doing the workouts right because I went and I was extremely sore the next day. I accomplished things outside my comfort zone like pull ups and push ups and it was mostly because the trainers there are great. I told them it was my first time and they were very attentive to make sure I was doing the exercise right. They took the time to explain things and show each exercise and even explain what it worked out. I will def be coming back here. The only thing I think can get better is the marketing for the place, since is in a warehouse in Doral is kind of hidden and if it wasn't for my coworker telling me about it I would of never heard of it. Is such a great place it should be advertised more so more people can know about it! I will tell my friends about it and tell them to try it out! read more

CrossFit at Da Factory is for people of all ages, skills, and fitness levels. When I first started my CrossFit journey I was overweight and not motivated. At first I was hesitant working out in a group setting, since I was out of shape and had not done any real exercise in quite some time and to be honest, I did not want to look bad. I met with the head trainer which explained to me the basics and I was on my way. I remember my first workout as if it was yesterday. That feeling of utter exhaustion was something that I had not felt in a very long time. My trainers and the group that we worked out with that day pushed me to a place where I never thought my body could go, that was when I knew that this place was for me. People say that results do the talking so I will share some of my progress. In one year I have lost over 40+ lbs, lost 15% body fat, 8" off my waist, and am at the best shape in my life. None of this could have happened without the hard work and dedication from the trainers at Da Factory. The trainers would stay after their shifts on their personal time to work with me on different skills and teach me about nutrition and countless other things. I have worked out at several gyms and CrossFits, but none compare to Da Factory. I would recommend this to anyone and hope that other people can experience the changes that I have. read more

While in Miami on business from New Jersey, I dropped in twice. The facility is great, got a free T-shirt and the coaches could not have been better. They charge $20 for the first time and $10 for additional drop ins. I went at 4pm and 8pm...both classes were not crowded and I got some really great instruction from the coaches. I wobbled out of the box...so I know I got a good work out. This is now my new spot for when I visit Miami in the future. I highly recommend it! read more
