When the weather permits you gotta eat outside! Our experience was nice. We were welcomed with a toast of Prosecco. Our food was fresh seafood. So delish! Along the street there are people passing and conversations going on amongst the dining guests. So it can get fairly loud, but during celebrations it was expected. The locals were celebrating a saint at the time of our dinner. There were festivities which was like a bonus to our evening. That included a stuntman with fire act and some robot looking guy walking down the street playing 80's music. That's just the description of the scene. The restaurant itself is really nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu of course has Italian food and seafood. We were personally greeted at our table by Chef Guido, which was a lovely gesture on his part XOXO By the way, make reservations cuz this place gets super busy especially on weekends. Buon appetito!!!

After getting up and leaving from a poor serviced restaurant one Block away we stumbled into da Ciccio, we were meaning to come here anyway and it was a nice surprise. The service was amazing, very accomodating. Would definitely reccomend.

The restaurant is full every night, so you need a reservation. Sadly the food wasn't that good, assumed from the fully booked tables. It took almost one hour, before the starters was served.

We came here on the recommendation of the shop keeper down the way, Ann. She said this was her friend and that he had really good food. So, once dinner time rolled around and we had our party all together, we went in. I ran over to thank Ann for the recommendation. When I told her that my mother was with us, she insisted on coming in to say hello to her. I guess we made an impression. Anyway, Ann greeted my mother and also told the owner to take good care of us. The apparently meant a freebie. We got a nice pizza margherita on the house. NUMMY. Crispy crust, wonderful buffalo mozzerella, fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. We loved it. This restaraunt also gives everyone free bruschetta. We received 4 large pieces that were cut in half. Two were tomato and lovely and two were cannelini beans that had been marinaded in a lemony sauce. They were really good. There were also 2 bread fritter things. Really, really good. For her main course, my mom got the grilled prawns. They were huge. 4 were more than enough. She said that they were wonderful. My husband and I got a whole dorado fish that was cooked with herbs, lemon, tomatoes, and potatoes. That was just about the best fish I have ever had. The meal was finished off with complimentary lemon sorbet made from local lemons. Heaven. Of course, since the restaurant has an ocean view, the ambiance is lovely. It's very homey with tourists and locals alike eating there. The service was lovely. I know part of this review is down to the overall beauty of the island, but I have to say that the gracious service and delicious food more than make the 5 star rating.

We also enjoyed a glass of Prosecco to start with and each table had the house red and white wine for everyone.

Ah, found it! If you…read morepeep the photos, you'll see lots of smiling people enjoying beautiful Italian weather, the island of Ischia, fresh seafood, all the goodness. We visited in November. We were lucky to find them open. They were cooking up delivery pizza, and they welcomed us inside, we were the only guests. The owner was kind, I ordered an amaro, we were told the menu was limited to pizza, that day. Well, we'd heard a thing or two about the Italian's pizza expertise, so we went for it, our first -- and one of the most memorable -- pizza sessions of our stay, on or off the mainland. This is just my take, but seems to me most Italian restaurants get the whole Napolitan recipe right. The secret to marvelous pie is forking into the whole thing as soon as it comes outta the oven, like, as close to burn-your-tongue as possible. And I'm pretty sure the owner was extra attentive to the random American stragglers who wandered into his place in November. He wowed us. Unforgettable.

Fish was excellent, pastas were spectacular, and the tomato fried pizza was amazing!! Make sure you ask for seats in the front of the restaurant. Lots to say about this restaurant!! Use the boat taxi near the castle bridge. $7.50 euro round…read moretrip, and a great way to get there and back. The view was incredible (direct view of castle and water. The food and wine was the best we've had in the island. Fresh fish, homemade pasta and lots of appetizers. There wasn't a bad dish on the menu. Here are a few pics!

Great ambiance and food. After we booked, our hotel recommended we take a water taxi there (more…read moreabout that later) and I would recommend the same. It is on the water with a wonderful view of the castle, perfect (and potentially romantic) for an evening meal. Once we arrived on the water taxi, greeted enthusiastically by probably the owner and shown to a table on the water. Was offered the opportunity to see the fresh fish, with each fish explained well (a nice variety of about 6 different types) and also how they were prepared. Started with three fish tartares, which were both good and interesting, each having a very unique taste. My main was one of the fresh fish (which I shared with my wife) with pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly and worked very well with the fish, which was served on the side so you got a true experience of the very fresh fish. For dessert, shared a fruit plate with my daughter, which was also great. A lot of very fresh fruit. Decided we did not want to take the water taxi home (my wife got sea sick as it is more of a water canoe with an engine) so asked for a regular taxi. Did not realize we had to walk up what felt like an infinite number of steps (probably about six stories) to get to the road, guess we burned up most of the calories from dinner. A great experience with a great view, just think twice before saying no to the water taxi.
