Both were very excellent. We started off with the steak tartare, which was SPECTACULAR. One of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend got the braised beef and I got the bistro steak. Both plates were a 10/10. The meats were super tender, fries were perfect, and the mashed potatos were really creamy. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or she just doesn't handle feedback well. I was stunned and disappointed. Either way, I would never consider stepping foot into her bakery ever again. Her window has maybe 5 things to choose from. It's pretty sad, but there were 2 items I love love loved, and I drove out of my way and paid top dollar for those items. She's by far one of the most expensive bakeries in St. Louis, but I enjoyed supporting her I thought she was great. And she has a moving story. We waited longer for my food to come and it still took them about an extra ten minutes, which wasn't given to us until we went to the counter and let them know I still haven't received my food and it was then they gave me my corn dog. After I finally received my food I noticed how big it was and was at least excited to try it, but as soon as I bit into it, the majority of the inside was air and a little bit of mozzarella cheese. I was really disappointed by this experience and had high hopes I was going to enjoy it. I'm giving this experience 1 star, this place has great foods and desserts that they offer and could be better, but the staff really has to step up their performance.
