The facilities were nice, but the services were just okay. My friend and I each had different facial technicians and they wore latex gloves the entire time. It was not relaxing at all and was uncomfortable when she was touching my face with them. Also, she seemed to just clink around bottles for half the time. I don't know what she was doing. She didn't do any extractions. She basically washed my face and put a serum on. It was definitely the worst facial I've ever had. Immerse Spa has a fantastic facialist. My massage tech also wore gloves when he worked on my feet? So strange. Never had someone do that either when getting a massage. I don't know if this is maybe spa policy? The best experience & I'm not just saying that. You get a warm & friendly reception as soon as you bend the corner to approach the front desk. I was given a tour. You're allowed to use the amenities for the day (whirlpool, sauna, etc). Clothing is optional & they have disposable swimsuits if needed. You don't feel rushed. I literally had thee best massage I've had in idk how long. If I had any complaint, it's that you can hear people in the hallway during the appointment (the chit chat did not last long). pregnant women are a "safety risk to other patrons" I was excited to book myself a spa day at D.Tour after a crazy holiday season and busy start of year at work, it was going to be the perfect day to relax and pamper myself. I called to book the Classics Package (Message, Facial, Mani/Pedi) after some arrangements my day was scheduled and went on to review the cancellation policy. What followed shocked me. In reviewing the cancellation policy the woman I was speaking with very casually said "for the safety of our other patrons we do not allow pregnant women in the Spa). Being 10 weeks pregnant, with my second pregnancy, I was stunned. How are pregnant women a safety risk to others? When I asked for further rationale for why they discriminate against mamas to be, she went on to say it's just a liability to our business to have pregnant people in or facilities.". There's is no group more deserving of a spa day then pregnant women and new moms, it's sad to see that in 2024, a SPA would refuse to allow pregnant women on the property. read more

LAST MINUTE APPOINTMENT YES! I ended up going in for a last minute facial and Natalie was so sweet and she did such a fantastic job. My face feels refreshed and so soft, I got a much needed facial and they were able to accommodate me last minute. Which was hard because i called a few other places before being able to get in same day. The plus side was easy to find and the valet service made it easier. Probably the greatest customer service I've ever received at a spa. As soon as you walk in everyone is so welcoming and friendly. They gave me a detailed tour of the facility upon arrival and answered any questions that I had. The spa includes a lounge room with comfortable seating and a television. They have a whirl pool, steam room, sauna, and locker room all open to use. I received the Swedish massage with Roderick and he did a great job...very relaxing. I would definitely do the deep tissue massage next time though, since I didn't feel like it was entirely enough pressure for me. I was able to order food to the lounge area and it was all delicious. The salmon on the salad was slightly over cooked, but overall it was my kind of dish! Not to forget how pretty they plate the food...it's always appreciated in my book! Only suggestion to D.Tour Spa is to add some incense or candles to the massage rooms. It's a simple touch that I think would make a large impact on guests. read more

So I had to drive home with a credit there for a massage when ever I want one. Thenn bnb problem is that I have to drive six hours to Detroit to get my massage. Reserved what we thought was a couples massage but ended up being 2 separate massages. Spouse and i ended up in separate rooms which we were a little disappointed in. Before massages you get to take advantage of their other amenities (steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, pool). I was in the jacuzzi and they offer ice cold face towels which was heaven! Also, in the change rooms, which you wait for your masseuse, they have offer limited snacks and coffee, tea, water and flavored water. They must refill frequently because i took a bottled water after the sauna and within 10-15 minutes it was replenished! Massage was okay. Nothing too grand or special. I can't recall a more relaxing day or a more fun experience than I had than the Ladies Spa Day my friend Stella organized at D Tour Spa. Though I was quite familiar with many of the other amenities at Motor City and even worked with the casino in some capacity in the past, I had never before been to the mysterious S Floor. Boy, I didn't know what I was missing. The five of us were greeted by a friendly staff at the beautiful entrance and shown to a private lounge filled with comfortable chairs, couches, a cool flat screen and treats to nosh on. We had fresh fruit, an assortment of teas, lemon water and desserts that were hard not to gobble up right away (fruit tarts, chocolate cheesecake squares and chocolate cannoli, yes please!). But the dressing rooms awaited so we headed right over to change into cozy robes and fitted massaging slippers. Yep, that's how we'd be outfitted for the day. We took a brief tour and were then whisked away for services. Since I had about an hour until my massage, I had a chance to catch up with my friend Jacki. We tried out the thermal whirlpool, super hot steam room and dry sauna, then joined our gal pals in the lounge to get the skinny on how their services went. The relaxation had seriously commenced. From there I met Leslie, my massage therapist, who guided me to the spa rooms and I prepared to unwind. I had a 50 minute Swedish massage complete with Motor City Music, which means relaxing music is piped into the room through the heated massage bed. It was an interesting experience. I love massages and often find that I have trouble allowing myself to truly relax, thinking I don't want my time to be up! But Leslie put me completely at ease and I was able to just take it all in. D Tour uses a proprietary mix of essential oils that combines Ylang Ylang, lime and spearmint oils for a relaxing and refreshing experience. From there, we took a break for lunch. Having ordered beforehand, I chose a house salad sans meat. And I was so pleased. It came crispy, fresh and generous with mixed greens, creamy avocado, garbanzo beans, corn and toppings galore. My friend Ponti and I also shared an order of shrimp that were so big they should be listed as prawns. Though I had attempted to stay on the healthy side, the baskets of giant, steak-cut fries called out our names and we all shared them. We joked that there was really nothing better than hanging out all day in robes eating giant delicious french fries! Soon enough it was time for my last spa service, a body wrap. I'd never had one before and was really excited. The D Tour Drive Wrap combined a sugar body scrub, mud wrap and body butter treatment all in one. Kim was friendly and gave me great information when I asked questions. The treatment left me feeling soft and smooth - and I never felt shy or awkward even though this service required intermediate showering. The staff is so great about making you comfortable in the environment. We all spent more time enjoying the saunas and each other's company. It was a wonderful day. And an affordable one. You can reserve the lounge for free with friends as long as you each book a minimum of $100 in services. It's so worth it for a special occasion or the occasional splurge! read more

My mother and I had received services at this spa a few weeks ago. The spa itself was beautiful and relaxing, I felt very comfortable in that atmosphere. The smell of eucalyptus was delightful and calming. If you have the time, I recommend coming much earlier than your service time. We were almost late and did not get a chance to enjoy the sauna or pool. My mother and I had the same nail tech, so the three of us went into the private room together. I was scheduled to receive the classic pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails, while my mom only wanted the Pink Cadillac Pedicure. The technician was very nice. I have only had one pedicure in my life prior to this, and I was apprehensive to try again. I told the tech that I was someone scarred from my previous one. The pedicure was quite relaxing and looked lovely, I was very pleased. My mother enjoyed her pedicure as well. My acrylic nails took 2-3 times as long as almost any other place that I've gone too. They were crooked, poorly shaped, and uneven. I asked the girl to correct it and she somewhat did, but the hand tools that she was using did almost nothing. We were the last appointment of the day, and I felt as if she rushed us out of the room to leave. My nails were still soaking wet at this point. I went out and bought the same polish color the next day to correct a lot of issues. This was unacceptable for such an overpriced service. I'm glad that we had a gift certificate, because I would have demanded a refund otherwise. Although I have been upset about the service, I had originally planned to let this complaint go. My mind has changed, however. Three days ago I started to feel this horrible pain in the side of my toe. I just found out that my toenail is now ingrown, supposedly to the way that my toenail was cut. The last time that my toenails were cut was at this spa, so you can only imagine how upset I am. read more

The hotel experience was great, however, when I tried to book apt at D Spa soon as they open at 10 am I was told they are all booked up before I even told them what package I wanted. I booked a large party at this spa that came highly recommended as a surprise for my sister's birthday. I never recieved a phone call or email confirmation from the spa but assumed everything was fine. The day before our appointment the spa called and told me we were not present for our appointments. I explained we actually had appointments for the next day, not today. The manager said if I could not come in immediately, I was still going to be charged for the services. Then they could not fit us in the following day for my sister's surprise. The manager was very rude and unprofessional. I was told it was my fault the incorrect date was scheduled and that they "never call to confirm appointments because the spa has too many clients" to make those types of phone calls. I was then charged in full for all 6 services we never recieved, which was almost a $1000! It is standard practice to receive a confirmation phone call or email, especially if a credit card is going to be charged. We now have no choice but to contest the payment with our credit card company. We had high expectations for customer service given the expense and reputation of the spa. This spa needs to change their customer service practices immediately and, given my experience and the other reviews here, would strongly recommend all others avoid this place. read more

This is a review of management and not of the facilities or staff. Management- both levels of it- are demoralizing, argumentative, and will insist you are not only wrong, but must pay for any error, even theirs. They record the phone conversations and use them against you, even if the recording supports your stance. What happened was a simple error, but how management treated me, their lack of resolution, and their insistence that I pay (literally) for their mistake is something I will never forget. My credit card and I were held hostage for over 30 minutes for merely pointing out that my treatments had been scheduled in reverse order. I wanted my treatments and was willing to pay for them. Rather than apologize, or take me at my word and look for resolution, I was a bad guy who needed to take their wrath and oh did they dish it at me. While I can appreciate there are times having a phone recording of the appointment being made may be helpful and even protect the spa from people taking advantage, I was not doing that. No one recommend a course of action of any kind. I had to recommend that the final treatment (a scrub) be cancelled because it was out of place to have it after a massage. I received more furry and anger from them for the suggestion. The phone recording verified I did not order the treatments in this order, yet they insisted I take both treatments as scheduled and pay for them. I had to keep pushing back that I had not scheduled it this way and I should not be punished for a simple error that is at most my half my fault. How does pointing fingers even help? Eventually, I was able to get the scrub cancelled, but it took being attacked, argued with, and demoralized by two levels of management. I wanted to walk out and would have but for my card being on file and already fighting over one cancellation fee. They treated me as if I was a lower class citizen bound to do whatever they said. My opinion and input did not matter. The facts didn't matter- There was a recording. They were the only ones allowed to access that recording and they were going to use it against me, yell at me, and demoralize me or make me pay. The negative lasting impression that management team left is one I will not soon forget. read more

We booked the couples suite for our anniversary and the masseuse that massaged my husband was coughing (wet cough) and snorting snot through the entire experience. When I complained about it, the lady at the desk stated she was recovering from a lung infection and has asthma and that it wasn't covid related however going to the spa is supposed to be a relaxing experience and this was nowhere near that. If you do not feel well you should stay home. We didn't book an experience to be coughed all over. And as a paying customer I shouldn't have to just suffer through what should be a relaxing time. read more

My issues are they do not have a lot of quiet room space or a variety of snacks. We had a party of five at the spa on February 10th, 2019 for a "girl's day out." Reservations were made by phone and the staff was very accomodating. We received email confirmations and a lunch menu by email quickly. We chose not to order ahead for food, but heard from other patrons the dining was excellent (the spa requests food orders be placed 24 hours in advance). The spa is in the basement of the hotel. As this was our first time here, we used the valet services for our cars, and the valet staff guided us towards the hotel. In order to get to the spa, you need to go to the main elevator and hit the "S" (Spa) button. It's clearly marked on the elevator button, but there are no signs in the elevator alcove to tell you to go down a floor. Once we got to the spa, check in was easy. You must pre-pay for the service, and can add tip before or after your appointment. We were given a quick tour of the facilities and amenities before being left to our own devices. The facilities are beautiful and Vegas-like in quality. They are separated by sex, as each locker room has its own sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and rain shower. The appointment rooms are connected to both locker rooms through a long hallway in back. We never felt rushed during the time that we were there. The masseuses and estheticians were well trained, polite, and very knowledgeable. They took their time to make sure we each had a great experience. Overall, I would recommend. I gave it four stars because the whirlpool was hot-hot-HOT and even though the staff tried to adjust the temp, it was still too warm to sit in for any length of time. The staff was wonderful and worthy of five stars, and the managers, Liz and Rita, were in communication with us several times beforehand to verify our appointments and any special requests. Wow. Wow. Wow. This place is amazing. I originally planned to visit the Spa at the Westin, but since they don't know how to keep appointments as scheduled, i went here. What a fantastic surprise. This place is the real deal spa - from sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, two lounges, spa music throughout. Super clean and accommodating. You will pay more here than your average spa, but you get all the amenities with it. My only regret was not staying longer to enjoy it all! The facial, manicure and pedicure were all amazing. My manicure is still going strong 4 days later, no chips. My face is refreshed and ready for the summer. My feel have never felt softer! All in all, a fantastic experience. This spa has great customer service, clean facilities and a calming relaxation area. It is my absolute favorite in the area and I love spending my time there. I go in early, take a rain shower, get in the whirlpool, go to the steam room, enjoy a massage or facial then repeat :) While there, I like to order a little lunch to refresh. Unfortunately, D tour does not have a great food menu. They no longer serve salmon, so non meat eaters are left without protein options. I'm hoping that D Tour revamps their menu and consider adding grilled shrimp, scallops, honey glazed salmon or lemon butter whitefish - all great choices that have little to no smell at all. read more

The bf got us a couples suite massage package (yeah, totally butchered that name) for our anniversary. It consisted of: -our choice of a short reflexology (foot massage) or scalp treatment: i chose the scalp treatment bc I had a terrible headache, which went away as the massage started..def recommend this if you suffer from headaches, like I do!! And request no oil if you don't want oil in your hair. -a 40-min private soak in a tub + DIY-mud masks + "rainfall" shower: this was whatever..nice that we had couple time, but the bathtub was kinda small (the two of us barely fit in a tub, and while hes thin himself, I'm on the smaller side...). Also, I wasn't really fond of the idea of applying the mud masks to each other. The rainfall shower actually wasn't rainfall IMO but they had these cool jets that shot across the room, so we just utilized those instead. -a 50-min massage: the masseuses have some strong hands here!! We left in pain, haha. The massage wasn't the best I've had, but our masseuses were nice, and mine even recommended that I get regular massages every 4-6 weeks bc of this annoying knot in my shoulder, which I've always noticed, but it's nice to have it pointed out to me. FYI, from the time we arrived to the time we left (which includes the services listed above and a quick post-massage rinse, blow drying, and straightening my hair), we spent exactly 2.5 hours here. Other amenities at the place: -dry sauna -steam room -whirlpool that's clothing optional...but it's in each gender's locker room Cons: -we were told we could use the exercise room...but when we tried, the front told us we couldn't. -the neighborhood it's in..kinda scares me!! -I couldn't feel the vibrations on my massage bed, but my bf was thrilled bc he felt his. Complete bummer. Maybe my bed was broken. :( For those who can't decide between here or MGM, the clientele and ambiance here is much more relaxing to be around, compared to the MGM...but I think the massages at MGM are better. You get to use the exercise room and pool at mgm but i think the d tour locker rooms are nicer and have more things to do (whirlpool, sauna, steam vs just a steam room at MGM). We came to this facility for a part of my bachelorette party. My party was less than 5 minutes late to our 9 am appointment; the spa opens at 9 am. This spa is not the easiest to find especially for people who are from out of town. The address we had was for the building and we had to ask two guards to find the spa. The head women who received was very rude about us being late. When we indicated we got lost, the women said people become lost often. She rushed us through paperwork and informed us we would have to finish later as we were late. Her tone and phrasing were very off putting, especially for a place that should provide great customer service. We had four people in our party and were under the impression that there would be two masseuse and two people for manicures. This was not true. There were two people for the massages but only one for nails. It took over 4 hours for the four of us to complete our spa treatment. This should have been roughly 2 hours. While two people were in for massages the other two would be getting their nails done. Not only did this take longer than we anticipated I was skipped for a walk in for nails. When we tried to leave the same lady from the front desk told us to wait. She went and kicked out the walk in to send me in for nails. My nails did not dry properly. Before we even left the facility, they had rippled. The lady had also cut the skin in front of one of my nails. The massage was good and the women who did the massage and nails were very nice. However, this was not enough to counter act all the negatives from this location. My party and I will never return to this location. My visit to D. Tour Spa was amazing. As soon as I got off the elevator onto floor S I felt instantaneously relaxed. This spa is beautiful and truly exudes luxury. The staff is amazingly friendly, which is a plus. Many of the higher end spas are a little stuffy and stuck up, I felt very at home and welcomed. I came with a group of my gal pals and needless to say we spent over six hours there and did not want to leave. I got the MotorCity Music Massage and it was wonderful. I'm not really one for massages because the intimacy of it all (I'm old fashioned), but coming to the D. Tour Spa has dramatically changed my mind. I felt very comfortable with the masseur and to tell you honestly I haven't had any back pains since my massage (it's been about a month since my visit). I also had a body treatment as well as a facial. The body treatment I received was the D. Tour Drive Wrap. This made my skin so silky soft, I highly recommend this treatment especially after a long winter. This will make your skin also glow and provide an ideal base for tanning especially if you spray tan or use tanning beds. The facial was also amazing - the technician who administered the facial was very knowledgeable and skilled. She provided counsel on proper skin care as well as products to stay away from. She was able to teach me how to identify trouble areas and showed me how my skin should feel. My skin has been so dull; it was nice to see it have that wonderful youthful glow again. I will definitely be back for another facial. The prices are a little higher here, but it's worth every penny - you will definitely get everything you pay for and more. They also have a wonderful large whirl pool and a dry and wet sauna. It definitely is one of the nicest spas to visit in Metro Detroit. I highly recommend coming here. read more

me and my sister came in for pedicures, showed up early for the amenities. little did we know, they had a large party booked and many other groups of people. it was overcrowded, not relaxing whatsoever. they provide cups and a water dispenser, however the cups are reusable and filthy. there was also a sign that said "fruit water" in front of the very plain water, which we found comical. there was pretty much nowhere to sit, we couldn't even use the jacuzzi because too many people were there. we ended up sitting in the sauna in our robes just to have somewhere to sit without having to hear loud people. we tried to go to the steam room but when i opened the door, the steam burned my eyes because the mass amount of eucalyptus in the steam. we were able to laugh about it, but it was pretty bad. the decor was nice at first glance, but the more you looked, the more you saw. for $90 pedicures we had significantly higher expectations. the nail tech was friendly and i enjoyed my service, but the paint job wasn't great and my sister got cut during her pedicure. during the service, other employees kept stopping by and chatting with our service provider, and at one point she answered the phone. all in all, would not go back. i will mention, the employees at the desk were fantastic and very friendly. read more

This is a great spa! Of the Detroit Casinos, D. Tour Spa easily wins! The only spas I've been to that compare are the luxury spas in Las Vegas ... if you don't know, that's some significant praise! Don't get me wrong, though, this spa falls short of its Vegas counterparts. It's not as big and it has less to offer overall. In Michigan, though, this spa is absolutely amazing! D. Tour has a beautiful hot tub (gigantic) and all of the things you would expect in a top tier spa (saunas both dry and wet, rain forest shower area, massaging shower heads, lounging areas with fruit and beverages). The treatments offered, while expensive, are truly amazing. Everything is done professionally and the people giving the massages are very well trained. The only thing they really lack is a big pool to swim around in. MGM has a better spa for you if that's something you're looking for. Also, you are only able to go to this spa if you're a hotel guest. If you're getting a treatment and have a friend with you, they can purchase a spa pass for around $20.00 and they'll have a great time! MGM allows you to buy spa passes (I think it's $30.00 a person) even if you're not a hotel guest. I fully recommend the D. Tour Spa! read more

I have been a customer at this spa for several years, having received massages and most recently a body wrap about a month ago. Today I came in for a facial waxing (a lower cost service) and was planning to use the spa amenities (steam room, sauna, etc.) as well. When the hostess took me directly to my service I inquired about getting changed into my robe and accessing a locker first and she informed me "oh, for future reference, there's actually a minimum of $75 to use the rest of the spa amenities, but because the spa isn't busy today, you can use the spa amenities." I'd never received an inexpensive service before so wasn't aware of the policy but it seemed like a reasonable policy to me and because I've been a customer before, I thought it was courteous of her to still offer the additional amenities to me today and encourage future patronage. The hostess then provided me with a locker, robe and sandals and I proceeded to my appointment. After my appointment, I went in the sauna and then was seated near the lockers when the Spa & Fitness Manager approached me and said "excuse me, we require a $75 minimum service to use the rest of our facilities. You can't just come in here and receive a waxing (pointing to my face as if to condescend me for even receiving a waxing - ironic that a spa manager would find a service her own spa provides so grotesque) and hang out in our spa all day." I was appalled. I was sitting there in the robe and sandals her staff member had provided to me and she was now asking me to leave. The policy wasn't the point. I had no issue with the policy. I was appalled that someone in the hospitality industry found it appropriate to treat someone in this manner. I will never be back. Ironically, MGM Grand Immerse Spa offers a $35 day pass for anyone to use all spa amenities all day (no additional services required). Maybe that is why D.Tour is so empty. My first time at the D Tour Spa. It was OK. Latrese our Spa hostess was awesome. She greeted us with a smile and then patiently and thoroughly walked us through the spa and all of its amenities. The spa has an awesome relaxation area complete with a,whirl pool , steam room , and sauna. I purchased an 80 minute deep tissue massage. Gloria was my massage therapist. She was very polite. The massage was very relaxing but not exactly deep tissue. She used her forearm and elbow alot so even though she asked me if the pressure was ok, I had no confidence that she had strong enough hands to give me a true deep tissue. I still felt relaxed but wish she had gotten into those muscles more. My treatment room was also really cold and it made the experience uncomfortable. My cousin said her treatment room was cold too. I also added on the body Butter which is an additional $25. It was a nice add on, but I've never been to a spa that didn't allow you to select a scent of body butter. I had asked to amend my massage to 60 minutes instead of 80 since the other ladies I was there with only got 60 minute services. The manager said I would still have to pay for 80 minutes. The spa was clearly not busy. I paid it but that will definitely impact my decision to ever return. I've been to spas all around the world, Canyon Ranch, Terrenea, Well and Being, Golden Door to name a few. This was just ok and I don't think the best that Detroit has to offer, but not the worst either. read more

This spa is amazing. I had the 1 hour massage and Gavin was my masseuse. Gavin was fantastic. The spa is beautiful and very clean, the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this spa. It was a wonderful experience. read more

For the city of Detroit this is probably the best offer in regards of a full service spa. However, it's overrated compared to the spas in other major cities and resorts. The quality of services are good but not compared to the prices. The guests services are not accommodating, judgmental and put certain customers in a you are from Detroit box. I'm a professional who travels the world and would much rather spend my dollars elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and experience a true full service spa in other state. If you just want a massage or facial, your best bet is a day spa not D Tour. read more

I was pleasantly surprised after my visit here. The front desk staff were nice and the amenities were amazing. I am officially in love with the Eucalyptus steam room. After relaxing for a bit, I was called to a treatment room where I was getting a massage by Aaron. The massage table was really comfortable and he used a dry oil so I didn't leave all slimy. I was extremely impressed by his upper body work, I get massages on a regular basis and no one has ever come close to his attention to detail on how he tended to every muscle. There was no routine that he simply followed, he massaged differently according to the pressure needed in different areas. I would be a regular of this place if it weren't so far away. The only down side was the music. I did not find it particularly relaxing. read more

This is hands down my favorite spa in Michigan. The services are to my satisfaction. I've has my fair share of massages and I have to say the massages here are amazing. I always look forward to using the amenities. Everything about this place is so relaxing and enjoyable. You definitely get your moneys worth at this place. Dtour spa is my #1 recommended place as far as spas go. read more
