Gentle but tough on the right spots. 10/10. I was nervous about those hot stones but boy did she make my mind at ease. My body was so relaxed. & who doesn't love a facial! Great day of relaxation. So peaceful so jen. Hearing the waterfall is such a shift. The jacuzzi area need more space to hang/leave your belongings! 4 hooks is not enough when you know it's a spa for multiple ppl. It was already 4 ppl there when i got in. And the floor is wet so the could add shelves. The locker room not spacious enough. Ppl kept saying excuse me to pass one another! Went for a Galentine Day at the spa. There were a few big groups. This spa was poorly prepared. The dressing rooms are so small. No room to unrobe comfortably. The spa was so cold it was hard to relax. Not enough staff to help orient you. My massage was good. But as for the whole experience, I didn't feel zen at all. Doubt I'd return. But if you are staying there or in the area, worth it. I wouldn't travel for it. read more

This was my first time here and I wasn't disappointed. Based on previous reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. They are doing some renovations so, some things weren't up to par. The steam room wasn't available. We were taken to the locker room where the robes & shoes were. Changed and wait in the area until you're called. The couples room is still separate spaces (which I like). You can choose an essential oil for the room & your massage. 50 was good. They don't offer 80 mins for couples, but that would have been better. They have a rather big 4 foot heated. They also have a hot tub. The facilities were clean. Within 20 minutes of arriving and getting settled at the pool I spotted a large cockroach on the floor near the pool. Immediately became grossed out with this place and my skin was crawling. I brought it to the attention of the manager and her way of handling it was to offer me a $25 food voucher. No thanks -- I had no appetite at this point so I declined. I would have left then, but I was gifted a full day of services for Mother's Day so I tried to settle in elsewhere but the only thing on my mind was the damn cockroach and wondering where else they were. The "experience" was basically shot. Then it came time for my services, a signature mani, pedi and massage.... Worst nail salon I have ever been to. I couldn't tell you which was worse the manicure or the seeing the cockroach. I will admit my nails were bad going in but the nail tech literally put in ZERO effort. When I asked if she was going to continue cleaning up the nail bed before she polished, she refused and went to the manager and told her should would not continue. I was literally in disbelief at this point. The massage was decent but not worth $180 for 50mins -- people, save your money and go elsewhere. This place is a joke. read more

I've been dying to get to Immerse Spa. I am the girl that lives for luxury and I had very high expectations because... I mean, MGM Grand, says enough, right? Well, wrong. My boyfriend and I visited Immerse for my birthday and it was a total disappointment. The sauna was not available for use in the women's locker room, but was available for men. However, that doesn't bother me as much as the massage! The massage was the absolute freaking worst!!!! OMG. I was horrified and asked the masseuse to stop mid-massage. It was clear she did not know what she was doing. For 500+ dollars, my expectations were high. I guess you're paying for the name and the upkeep (because it is an aesthetic!!) The whole spa is modern and beautifully decorated. The infinity pool screams luxury. But that's it, this place is just a sight to see... nothing more. read more

This is my first spa experience, and what a beautiful facility! I would assume that's really what you're spending the extra $$ for, so make sure to take advantage of everything the spa has to offer. Steam, hot tub, beautiful pool. Everything was clean and staff was always available to help or answer my newcomer questions. I was greeted warmly when I arrived and was immediately given a tour. There is a gym, lots of lounge areas, treatment rooms, locker rooms, steam room, & pool area with hot tub. I began by showering and getting into my bathing suit - the hot tub was all I had time for before my facial and pedicure appointments. (I will definitely come earlier next time, and with a book!) They will find you wherever you are in the spa to take you to your treatments, so you never have to worry about time. Ideally, you can remove your wet bathing suit and put it in your locker before you go to your treatments, just so you're not drippy/damp. I received the express facial first - 30 minutes - and it was so wonderful, I will definitely book the longer one next time. You slip in between lightly heated sheets, soft music and aromatherapy surrounds you, and the products smell SO GOOD. I will be requesting my same massage therapist; it's easy to do because they track that for you. I then received an express pedicure - that includes a foot soak, cuticle work, nail cut down and file and polish. She did a perfectly good job, but for the price, I can get a full-service pedicure elsewhere. If I were to get a pedi again, I'd just go with the full service version. After my pedi, I lounged in the pool area awhile, and then went home. I was there for a little over 2 hours and will stay longer next time, as well as order food. Ideally, I'd spend the whole morning in the gym and then pool area, and then have afternoon appointments. It's expensive, but I can't wait to return. read more

Worst customer service. Went here a day before Valentine's. I arrived on time however we had to park in the self parking and walk through the casino in order to reach the hotel/spa. We were 9 mins late to the appointment due to the intricate labyrinth casino that I had to navigate in order to reach the spa. When I arrived the check in lady stated that I would only receive a 35 min massage instead of 60 mins (which I paid for). Because they will substrate the 9 mins plus the time it takes me to get undressed. I asked to speak with a manager because I was willing to reschedule and/or take a refund due to my tardiness and inability to park close. The manager refused and told me to be more conscious of the time. Actually she was the supervisor (a lady with multiple tattoos). I've been to several places for massages and never have I heard of such a thing. Ive been late before and usually, you can reschedule or take a refund. The place was empty. Everyone was standing around. The supervisor went to the back and printed the spa policy (which isn't online) and highlighted the non-refundable policy. Booked a hot stone massage for myself and my cousin as a relaxing bachelorette day to de-stress before her wedding. Absolutely was impressed by the service and experience! The staff and masseuses were all incredibly helpful and professional. After our massages, they let us know we had access to the pool, steam room, and hot tub for the remainder of the day. It was incredibly relaxing. The pool while maybe a little chilly, was luxurious with almost and infinity pool style and layout. The calming music, crashing of the water from the pool and echo from the room had an incredibly relaxing, almost cocoon-like effect. We ended up staying from 9am-3pm. Definitely will be coming back! What is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon is to have a massage. Went with friends to MGM for a night out and booked a massage appointment. Checked in and was taken back right on time to the women's locker area to change into a comfy robe and slippers and then off to relax in the lounge before my therapist came to take me back. The lounge was spotless and had lots of amenities for guests to use. Once in room my therapist asked questions if there were specific areas to focus on. The table was perfect temperature and I was immediately relaxed listening to the soothing music with the gentle scent of eucalyptus. She did an amazing job and I would come back and ask for her. Afterwards returned to lounge area to relax. Guests are able to use the pool area, showers, steam room as well. At check in they will automatically charge your gratuity to your bill so there is no need to worry at the end. read more

I would never schedule another service here. Over priced for the most underwhelming service. 60 minute massage that is completed is under 50 minutes. Money wasted. Dirty steam room, dirty pool, tiny little hot tub tucked in the corner that no one shows you were it is you just have to find it on your own. I was trying to get dressed and get to my locker that the spa attendant CHOOSE for me and it was difficult for me to reach and while i was trying to cram my way into the awkward corner to get my things out she was 3 inches away from me the whole time trying to get the other lockers together. I felt so rushed and claustrophobic with her not giving me 3-5 minutes to just grab my things and get dressed. I understand having to restock the lockers with shoes and robes but you can give a guest some space to be able to function or give me a locker FAR enough away from where you need to restock. Everyone was cold and not personable at all. The biggest waste of $400+. read more

Wonderful spa experience. We enjoyed massages and pedicures. The saltwater pool is very nice too, where you can order room service- we ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy poolside while between services. The gratuity is typical 20% added to your services but the room service it priced higher at 25% auto gratuity...which made our 50 dollar bottle of wine 65. So it can really add up as we ordered a few things throughout the day. I love that you can access the facility which includes a fitness center, steam room and hot tub all day if you have a booked treatment. read more

Treat yourself to a day of luxury. If you schedule your spa appointment, all your access for the day is included. You can enjoy the hot tub or the steam room or the fresh salt water pool. It is just delightful and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I felt like I should treat myself a little more often so that I can use the facilities. It was very nice the attendant was mindful and made sure that I was at my appointment at the designated time. My appointment was very timely and the aesthetician did a wonderful job.The robes are soft and my attendant went out of her way to find slippers for me. I was able to go back-and-forth between the cabana area and the steam room and hot tub throughout the day. I found myself very relaxed and looking forward to my next trip to the spa. So this is a late check in, I rarely leave reviews , and have never left a bad review. However, this is definitely worth mentioning . First I called day of to check availability, I was out on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and called back and was able to speak with someone and get an appointment . I knew to ask if all the amenities were working and they did inform me no the jacuzzi was out of order. I arrived and check in went smooth, front desk staff was pleasant , and so was my attendant. It was definitely a busy Saturday so upon entering the locker room there was tons of people , my attendant was searching for an available because several of them were broken. I asked to be moved away from the crowd of other women dressing to have a little space, and they finally found a locker. They then had to go to the back closet area to retrieve shoes and robe and I was able to see and sad to say that area was a complete mess, disgusting . There was all types of stuff on the floor where the robes hung over . Although I'm sure it posed no health risk it was displeasing to see how careless they took care of sanitary items . They gave me 7XL robe I am and xs -small size woman. I had to wait 15 min for them to find another robe which turned out to be a 2X because they wasn't able to keep up with laundry. After being able to finally change I walk around and to my surprise the jacuzzi was working and I asked staff how long has it's been working they said since earlier (so right after I booked my appointment It would have been nice to know, I didn't pack a swimming suit) . The jacuzzi area was crowded and women had there regular shoes on walking around and bags everywhere , attendants/ management should have made sure to have the ladies stow there items and put in appropriate spa sandals that's extremely unsanitary wearing outside shoes through a spa "MGM" at that. Felt trashing and dirty. I was able to stick my feet in for 3 minutes before being called for me session. I get to the back meet my therapist and started my session. She was attentive , asking all the right questions about any sore spots / troubled areas I told her all over. I have fibromyalgia. As a massage therapist myself like I shared with her it's common to run into an area on a client that you feel needs extra attention because of tightness . During my 80 minute session she literally focused on the same area over and over , it was exhausting and felt lazy . As she got to other parts of the body it felt rushed. I finally turn over on my back where she starts to massage my arms in an awkward space that she kept repeating to the point I felt pain and I had jumped to make her stop. I asked her to please continue on in the another space , she became irritated and said "just tell me next time don't move my hand". As a massage therapist a client jumping or adjusting themselves is quoted normal and nothing to be offended about and it's your job to adjust and or ask questions as it's a normal response of the body to react when something it's my right. She rushed through the rest and didn't even give any indicators/ or slow down of my session it just abruptly ended with her putting my robe on top of me saying thank you, please get dressed I'll be outside. I was thought unpleased with the quality of service, with everything being expensive I took time for myself to relax and it wasn't that at all. I left feeling frustrated and uneasy about the whole experience. It's saddening because it was one of my favorite spas in my City they have quickly went down the drain. I guess it's back to Rivage because Motor city spa was horrible as well. read more

I loved everything about Immerse Spa! Great customer service and white glove treatment all through out. All the spa attendants were great. I went in as a walk in (I recommend scheduling an appointment prior to your visit), but they were really accommodating. There weren't any full body massages available, so I did 2 25min express massages instead. Both masseuses were amazing and paid attention to my pain points. Laying on the massage table felt like heaven (you can ask the Masseuse to adjust the heat...mine was just right!) After my massages I used their facilities. The hot tub and pool are both gorgeous and super clean ... I could not complain. You can order room service pool side or to the hot tub. I booked my mom, my friend and I services for my birthday 1 month in advance online and now the Tuesday before my birthday, I find out that my mom cannot come, my services are 4 hours apart because their online booking system doesn't work.. not sure why they would still let you book online when it doesn't actually work. There was little help and zero apology for this situation. If you want to go here I'd recommend CALLING (after you wait on hold for 15-20 minutes) to book your appointment & then calling a few times before to make sure they didn't mess up your reservation too. I went there with two of my close friends for a relaxing spa day. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel special. We got a massage, a facial and lunch by the pool. The facial itself was below average quality but I loved the massage and found it to be very relaxing. Lunch by the pool was perfect even if the food quality was average. The pool water was very cold but it got me to swim more to warm myself up which is great. The lockers rooms were nice, spacious and very clean. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Overall it for the purpose served and turned out to be a very relaxing day. We sat by the pool for 2-3 hours just chit chatting and relaxing in our bathrobes after all the services and enjoyed food/tea. I would definitely come back here again! read more

UPDATE- I can't say enough about Libby. She pointed out to my mom two spots on her skin that she should get seen by a dermatologist ASAP. My mom did and found out the two spots were squamous cancer! Her dermatologist was amazed and very impressed that they were found during a facial. They were found and removed before they had a chance to get deep into her tissue. Thank you Libby you have my mom a facial that could have saved her life! Love the spa! Did a late Christmas with my family that had 80 minute massage, facials, and scalp massage. My mom and I did the hot stone massage and my sister did a bamboo massage. My sister said it was the best deep tissue massage she ever had! They really got deep without her feeling like she got beat up :) The hot stone was relaxing. They have heated tables so I was always at the exact right temperature. Libby did my mom and my facials and we both look so good. I have rosacea so it can be very difficult to have someone work on my face without making my skin crazy but even days later my rosacea is much lighter than normal. I definitely want to come back! The spa area is so nice and you can sit by the pool and have lunch. It was so relaxing and the staff were fantastic! read more

If there are two things I hate, they are public pools and walking through casinos. Okay, that was a lie. Public pools are probably somewhere near number 26 on the list of things I dislike, and casinos are not even in the top 50. But I mention this for two reasons. The first is because Immerse has this gorgeous, large, clean pool... that's not open to the public, and so is also quiet and tranquil and great. And is surrounded by plush cabanas and loungers, where they'll deliver food and drink to you, if you ask (and pay them) . The second is becuase you don't have to walk through the casino to get to the spa (or to shit on your zen when you're leaving). The spa is included in the free hotel valet service, which guarentees a seamless entrance and exit. Spa side dishes include 1) use of fitness center; 2) huge sauna; 3) beautiful jacuzzi; 4) rain showers. Rain showers, I said. Yup, rain heads in all the showers. So far I've been twice, and I've had a massage and a facial/peel. The massage was neutral/good (but a lot of this has to do with the tech... I'll choose someone else next time and see how that works out). The facial was amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Face felt like... oh, rich people face. Or maybe baby face. Nope-- rich baby face. Yup. Smooth and soft like a rich baby. So I'm planning on going every month and by this time next year I should have skin like Shiloh Jolie Pitt. And you can too. read more

The immerse spa was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I was afraid of some poor reviews but I'm glad I went. My boss brought me as a late Christmas gift to get some pampering. We both had a hot stone massage and a custom facial. We checked in at the front desk and filled out a short survey about our skin. Payment was taken at check-in. We were given a tour of the (clean and beautiful) facility by a young man, then taken back to the locker rooms. He also escorted us to each one of our services. A young lady showed us to our lockers and gave us our robes and sandals. Jennifer gave me the most wonderful massage. Her technique was top-notch. I felt so relaxed. I then saw Libby for a facial. My skin is glowing today. She gave me some great skin care tips, then said "enough talking, I'll let you enjoy this" which was so sweet and self aware- a lot of aestheticians talk all the way through! We didn't get to try out the hot tub, pool, or sauna because we had a dinner reservation, but it looks like an absolutely fabulous place to spend the day. I will definitely be returning. read more

I was really skeptical about spending the money on this spa based on previous reviews but it was the best decision I have made in 2014. I scheduled my couple's spa day to start early on a Friday morning so we could spend the whole day there. The spa was immaculate and so quiet and peaceful. Our facilities tour took about 20 minutes and with all of the amenities (including showers, hot tub, pool, sauna) I would recommend coming at least an hour easy to get fully relaxed before your service. This IS NOT an in and out, quickie spa service. This is a place where you dedicate half a day to revitalize your body and mind. I went from my locker room to the lounge in the service area about 15 minutes prior to my service. My masseuse came quickly and reviewed the service with me. In minutes I was in massage semi-heaven. As a pregnant woman, massages can be quite the hassle with all the switching ;) After our services, we lounged in a very Miami-esque pool chaise. The water was a bit cold so I didn't jump in but the ambiance was exactly what you want post-massage down time to be. We ordered lunch pool-side which not only made me feel ultra-luxe but enabled me to maximize my relaxation time. I highly suggest it. Prices were not unreasonable considering the portions and service associated with the order. Yes, the gratuity is included in your bill but hey, it's in the city of Detroit (I'm sure tipping is routinely low) and a 20% tip is common courtesy for spa services anyways. Additionally, with all the amenities and luxe touches Immerse has to offer, I don't think this at all unreasonable. I spent half of my hour-long massage listening to a loud conversation from the other side of the ridiculously thin (paper thin) "door" that separates the two sides. A massage is supposed to allow you to escape - I was trapped right there listening to someone else's conversation - like I was at a booth in the mall on a massage chair..... I asked to speak to a manager and someone was "paged." I left my card and requested a call or email from a manager. Crickets. Incredibly disappointing. I've been coming here yearly since 2008. Therefore, I've seen the best and the worst. This use to be an annual expense I didn't mind splurging on with high tipping. But the last five years it has just gotten worse! The massages are not the length they claim to be, the steam room has smelled like backed up sewage the past three years. Management does not follow up with complaints or reviews and no one makes an effort to apologize or accommodate bad experience from a VERY loyal customer/patron. I'm pregnant and really look forward to my massages for some relief, and after asking several times for deeper pressure she refused to do so. Essentially I paid for someone to lightly rub oil on my body and left completely unrelaxed and more upset that I wasted money and my time. I would not recommend anyone pregnant and looking to relax and get relief from pregnancy aches and pains go to this facility or therapist. read more

Terrible experience. I booked a spa day for my husband's birthday to include food by the pool and a happy birthday dessert. I had to go through several hoops just to get this done. None of it happened. When I complained to the manager, all she could tell me was that they "dropped the ball." I went through all that planning for his birthday and they couldn't give me a better explanation. To make matters worse, they had my card on file to charge when he checked in. Please note that my immediate reply was an "out of office" from November 2013. This pertains to MGM Detroit. Also, the webpage for the location is incredibly out of date. Please advise. To the Hotel Manager: (Please forward as appropriate, I will be following up with a call) I spent, as I have the last eight, Christmas at your property. I stay because of the high quality of service I've come to expect at your locale. I always book spa reservations for the following day. This year was no exception. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of what I've come to expect. I booked three treatment appointments well in advance; probably over two weeks. They were for my friend, my husband, and myself. I was very specific with the booking. The woman who took the call was difficult to the point of almost being argumentative. Two facials, and a massage. Pretty simple stuff for a spa. My husband was called out of town unexpectedly. I called two days prior to the appointment to cancel just his massage. I repeated myself four times, and asked for a callback; which I never received. I left a message, during business hours. My friend and I arrived on time. At this point, lets just say chaos ensued. My appointment had been cancelled. The remaining appointments were booked in my husband's name (different than mine). We sorted it out with the manager on duty, Nicole. I ended up taking my husband's massage and was also using the additional time he had booked with an aesthetician. We confirmed, then went on for our treatments. I had an outstanding massage by Sean. Can't praise him enough. Then, I preceded to the facial area. I waited. Eventually, Melvin came and told me that I wasn't booked for a facial, and had to go to the front desk to settle the confusion. I did. No, no facial had been booked. I showered and dressed. I spoke to my friend. She confirmed I had indeed requested and booked a facial. We went back to the reception desk. We asked for Nicole. She said, oh no. You never booked a facial. I said, yes, I had. This circuitous conversation went on for a time. Until I pressed, Nicole offered no solution, and merely reiterated that I was wrong. I had my friend present for validation. Finally, Nicole offered a free facial at a later date, which I most likely will never book. In summary, I truly believe your skilled staff and technicians are exemplary. I will return because of them. Your front of house staff, is lacking of basic skills like appointment taking, customer service, documentation. I could go on, but it's not my goal or desire to trouble shoot your problem. I'll be posting a Yelp review. In it, I will tout the great massage I had...which was completely ruined by the difficulty in dealing with your staff. Worst. Spa. Ever. I went here with 3 friends for New Years Eve and we thought we would be enjoying a wonderful spa day. They had booked a private party and neglected to tell us when we booked our spa package online. They assured us we could come the next day and do the spa then, and reluctantly we did. This time around the hot tub was broken (and seriously the hot tub was about half the reason we were even doing this). We thought maybe we could enjoy the salt water pool, but contrary to the "we're trying to keep a spa environment so please keep your voice down" signs, kids were loudly playing in the pool area. Since the walls in the men's and women's area don't go all the way up to the ceiling, you could hear all of the shouting the entire time we were there. My friend could hear the children screaming while he was getting his massage and he told me that when he closed his eyes to relax all he could think about was being massaged outside in Vietnam during the war. We will NEVER go back to the Immerse Spa. read more

I'm giving this spa 5 stars for the experience alone. My massage was great, my fiancé enjoyed his too but I can tell you that what your paying for is not just your service. There is a full blown locker room with jacuzzi, steam room & showers and it's beautiful inside. Then you go out to the very private and inclusive pool where the ambiance is so relaxing and worth every penny. Not to mention, you can stay there all day! No one bothers you!! There is a full food and drink menu.. and all of this comes with your spa service, you don't have to stay in the hotel to participate. The hospitality was great, Everyone is very quiet and relaxed. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to treat someone and/or themselves. We received ours for a wedding gift and it was ALL that was imagined. Truly a spa getaway! read more

I perused the spa menu for six months like a child choosing Christmas gifts from the Toys R Us catalog before finally making my pilgrimage. Well, actually truth be told I talked my boss into footing the bill for my secretary and I to partake in a day of pampering. Immerse did not disappoint. The facilities are immaculately clean and well appointed with the usual fabulous products, fruit/teas/refreshments. Booking a service gets you into the locker room and pool area for the day/night and I suggest you arrive early to take full advantage. The showers are HUGE and equipped with both a rain head and hand held fixture. The steam room is decent and the jacuzzi (located inside the women's spa area) is basically jet powered. There are iced towels around for refreshing after a soak as well. Wolfgang Puck's spa menu is available in the spa lounge area or pool cabanas but the service is rather slow. I did see people bring their own beer and wine which is a FAB idea if you're making a day out of it. The pool cabana area is swank and relaxing. If you squint your eyes just so you'd swear you were in Vegas. I booked the Hypnotic which includes full body scrub and 50 min massage with the Thai Bolus wraps. My therapist was wonderful. All too often they try and skimp and use elbows/arms rather than a more traditional acupressure/thumb work massage which was the star of the show here. I've never had a therapist drape my chest to include stomach and abdomen work which was performed effortlessly. I neither saw nor heard a rugrat on the premises. Hopefully MGM has resolved that major faux pas. My only gripe is that you have to put your robe back on in between the treatments to go back into the locker room to shower. It breaks up the zen flow in my opinion. I did see that they have Vichy rooms though so I plan on booking my next treatment that way. Oh and Whitney Houston was there if that's your thing. Definitely worth the hefty price tag and the top Detroit staycation. read more

I did not have a luxurious experience. The pool area & Jacuzzi area where filthy... food crumbs, trash... dirty towels. The towel area was pretty empty most of the time.... even though I could single handed count the ppl in the pool area. The drench pedicure I received was the most mediocre service I have ever purchased in my life.The massage chair didn't work... the mail tech dropped the items on the floor... picked them up and kept using them on my feet. Staying at the MGM Grand Hotel for my first wedding anniversary with my husband yesterday and saw one of the most disgusting things happen at the pool. My husband and I went for a quick swim in the beautiful salt-water pool and then decided to check out the rest of the area, primarily the separate hot tubs in each of the locker rooms. I got back to the pool a few minutes before my husband and, unfortunately, witnessed one of the most disgusting displays ever. Remember, this is an adults-only area... Two guys came into the pool area when we were already out and started yelling and talking loudly. They could be heard all over the spa area. This was a totally different vibe than when we first got to the pool area, even though it had been quite busy when we first settled in to take a swim. These guys didn't care that they were completely disrupting the ambiance. The place is supposed to be tranquil as it is a part of a spa, but none of the staff seem to give a crap if people adhere to these rules. This is a place for adults as there is an age restriction; people pay a decent amount of money to use the amenities. We chose this place close to home TO USE THE SALT WATER POOL. That's not the worst of it. I had no idea how to handle what happened next. I'm completely sickened that I was the one to witness this... One of the guys decided to spit right next to the pool and his friend saw this happen AND SAW THAT I SAW WHAT HAPPENED AND JUST SHRUGGED IT OFF! Wtf. This is NOT AN outdoor area, but that it is acceptable either way. He just spit right on the floor by the 'infinity' water edge. Again, they saw that I saw and since we were the only ones around this that time (they ran off the two other people that were lounging in a private party area after what I assumed were their spa treatments), I couldn't believe I wasn't vomiting and that they just didn't care others would be walking through and swimming in the spit. My husband made it back to the pool area and wanted to swim more, but I quietly told him what happened. He was disgusted and I was sad because this was our anniversary and we spent a lot of money to have a good time and pamper ourselves. My husband loves to swim and it's very therapeutic for him to do so to relieve stress. I'm heartbroken our time there was ruined. I went up to a member of the spa staff, but didn't know what to say as I was the only other one around and the guys were still yelling and splashing around loudly and nothing was being said. I ended up asking them a question I had about something else. Sigh. We paid hundreds of dollars for a nice room and wanted a nice experience close to home to be remembered forever. I sure will remember this forever and can't imagine ever returning to the spa that I was hoping to use in the future, as I have a lot of friends who love to go there for a quick retreat. read more

I had a facial at Immerse almost one week ago as part of a friends bachelorette party. I'm a facial regular at another spa, and get a facial about once a month, so I'm pretty familiar with my skin. For more than $200, I expect my esthetician to be educated on different skin types, and provide me a good value for the money spent. The value was subpar- at best, and the esthetician left my skin in much worse shape than what I arrived with. Instead of reaping the benefits of an entire 80 minute signature facial, I was taken back 5 minutes late, and my esthetician spent more time getting the product ready than actually performing services. She also left the room for more than 5 minutes to find a product, which would be fine if I had a mask or something similar on that required a wait time, but I didn't have any product on my face. Not only that, but the esthetician applied some sort of exfoliant to my face which immediately burned. I informed my esthetician that I have relatively dry sensitive skin, and that I generally use gentle products. I know some exfoliants come with a slight stinging sensation, but this was a burning sensation. My skin was immediately red, bumpy, and irritated when I looked in the mirror following my service. 6 days following my service, my skin is still red, irritated, and flaking off. Its not peeling in a way that would be indicative of just having a peel service, but instead is peeling in very small flakes. I didn't want a peel, and have had several events in the days since where it has been embarrassing to have my skin in its current appearance and condition. My friends on the bachelorette party who had massage services were all very happy with their services. If I ever return to Immerse, I will never get a facial again. read more

Thank you, boyfriend, for the greatest birthday weekend EVER!!!! So get this. The morning after we got bottle service at V Nightclub, my boyfriend turns to me and tells me to get my running shoes ready for my birthday celebration. Is he crazy!? What kind of terrible, sick joke is it to tell a girl to work out the day after she goes drinking?! Turns out he's not actually crazy. He got us a massage package at Immerse Spa and thought I might enjoy working out and using Immerse's facilities. :) I didn't quite making it to the fitness center, and the pool was closed (boo!!), but I did enjoy the opportunity to relax in the women's locker room and steam room. AND I fully enjoyed the rain showers!!! The showers also come equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair gel, a blow dryer, and a curling iron...and magazines, fruit, tea, and water. I had a calming massage, and boy was it calm! My masseuse (I think her name was Sarah) was great. Actually, every person I encountered there was great. All very friendly. I took off a star bc there was a group of seriously loud, obnoxious, and annoying grown women who kept opening and closing the steam room doors (w/o actually entering) and talking in loud voices. I'm trying to relax, and that's not exactly helping! I wish someone had asked them to quiet down, but whatevssss..we're in a public place. Other than that, I'm a fan of Immerse! read more
