I came across D Pasadita on Yelp while looking for some Hot New Spots to try... A combination of Peruvian and Mexican eats in a rough patch of town...errr called South Central... Good news; one can order from D Pasadita on Door Dash according to the owner or maybe manager? At least I think he was the owner. I'm not sure if he's on any other platforms. Nice guy, a bit rough around the edges. #PeruvianEats: ~ Bread w/ sauce - 4/5 I couldn't tell you what kind of sauce this was... it had a bit of a kick to it and was tasty. ~ Arroz Chaufa [CBS] - 4.5/5 A hearty Peruvian fried rice dish with veggies, sausage, scrambled eggs and an optional choice mix of Chicken, Beef & Shrimp. Hearty, tasty and a good value. Bacán! ~ Lomo Saltado [B] - 4/5 Another classic Peruvian dish with beef, stir-fried onions, tomatoes, and peppers served with fries and rice. Another solid, tasty dish that is yet again filling and tasty. Bueno! Hole in the wall vibes from the outside, but the inside is actually clean and inviting; Minimalist decor flanked with a bunch of artwork. Not the biggest of venues, but I get the feeling most of the orders are to go or for takeout at the moment. I believe D Pasadita is fairly new. Wait till word gets out... No problems coming back, even though it's a bit out of the way...

the food it so delicious it never disappoints always hot , ready & so tasty , the owner is very polite and friendly customer service 100%

The location is a bit hidden and the outside can be deceiving. There is a parking spot on the side. The staff were super friendly, service is excellent. I will update this when I am done with the tasting food. Update: The Peruvian meal I ordered.to go came out so good! Generous portion. I enjoyed it a lot.

I always see the Dpasadita sign in the corner but I didn't know it was a restaurant. I found this place on Yelp looking for Peruvian food. It only had two reviews but both good so I decided to give it a try. I'm so happy I did because this place is a hidden gem. Definitely a little hole in the wall place but my food was really good. I got the lomo saltado and it was very flavorful, perfectly seasoned, the fries were delicious and everything was cooked and tasted so good. I would definitely come back. Service was great but a little slow but I'm sure it's because they're making everything fresh from scratch and I think they're a bit new. But they definitely need more exposure as I can really see the potential in this place. Next time I want to try some other dishes.

What a lovely experience! I love Peruvian food and this place exceeded my expectations in taste, quality, service and ambiance. You can tell how much love and attention is put into this place. Highly recommend!

I saw this place on yelp, and it looked interesting. And since I was in South Central, I decided to try it out. This place is definitely a hole in the wall but let me tell you. The food is amazing. Everything I got was excellent. I even decided to get some food to go for my family. They loved it. Also, the portions are well served. The Service was excellent. Highly recommended. Cool vibe inside.

Let me tell you! This place is awesome. The food was spectacular! The tallarín verde with bistek was the best we've had in so long and that lomo saltado was pure bliss bro! My girl and I couldn't stop eating even after we had our fill. This place is small but full of soul. They have an amazing style and the food set up is great. They have the main specialty dishes and also a breakfast bar. Many options to choose from. The parking is in the lot right behind the restaurant in case you don't find street parking. The owner is an amazing guy his name is Jose and he brings amazing energy to this place and his sazon is to die for. This place 10/10 for sure.

I've had these photos sitting in my camera roll for quite some time, and I kept telling myself,…read more"I'll leave a review soon." When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

It's a small open air space, and it can get full right at dinner time, but if you go right as they open at 5pm, you'll be fine without reservations. The menu is limited, but it's all delicious! The Yuca Fries are a must! Fried and topped with chorizo. All of the sides sounded really good, but these are the best! The thigh meat chicken skewers are perfectly sauced, and can be ordered as an appetizer to be shared by two. All of the main dishes are meant to be shared. The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

They do not mess around with their portion sizes! I got the lomo saltado and that could literally be split between three people. The meat was juicy and tender and the fries and onions and tomatoes were cooked very well. The rice was also well prepared. Even though I don't really drink soda, I had to get the traditional Peruvian Inca soda which pairs so nicely with the food. They also start you off with the fresh yummy bread and butter. The staff is very sweet and the service is really good. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. They have a parking lot that is shared with the other business in the strip mall. The place is popular and will get busy on Fridays and weekends especially. But worth the wait.

We enjoyed the food and experience. We walked in early and were greeted and seated immediately. The…read moremusic was kind of loud. Dried bread and dipping sauces were brought while we perused the menu. Our food came quick. First was the chicken soup we ordered as an appetizer. It was delicious! Warning - the red salsa side dish is super hot. We tested it first, added a small splash, and loved it. Next was a sliced beef and marinated onion sandwich. It was well filled and really tasty, our favorite of the night. The green salsa that comes with it is a perfect compliment - savory and spicy like a molé, but not too hot. We will order this again. Then came the beef heart, not a dish for everyone, but a personal favorite. Seasoned with a great dry rub and cooked on wood skewers, it was on par with the best yakitori I have ever had. What made it even better, however, were the sides. The hominy was perfectly chewy and seasoned. Mixed with the green salad, the potato chunks, and some of the green and white dipping sauces, well, it was an excellent compliment to the dense beefiness of the roasted heart chunks. OTOH, the salsa that comes with the beef heart, while full of chopped scallions and such, was far too sour for my taste. It was like pure lime juice. I tasted it and set it aside, only adding a few bits into my mix of sides. The final nice touch was the price. Total for three dishes was $40 before tax and tip. We will be back. The closest public parking lot is a couple blocks to the north, but we found a metered spot right out front. I didn't like that the meter needed a credit card or app, but that's the way things are going.

The ceviche had the freshest seafood but was also very sour. My eyes got a workout from involuntarily squinting from the sourness. Service was impeccable and I've never felt so well tended to, in such a warm, hospitable way too. Definitely a gem in Highland Park and I'd love to come back to try their rotisserie chicken.
