As much as it was packed from 2:30 til 3:30 we were still were able to order a drink at bar. Martin was so nice and took our order and brought it to us being we went back to waiting line. The place is small with a hard time to walk around when it's full. It's a nice bar restaurant and didn't realized until we were leaving that there's a back area. The bartenders could be a little more social and happy bc that seem a bit dull and unhappy working there. Unlike Martin he was happy. Mildred was our server and she did phenomenal. (inquire about the 4% service charge added) No rice or beans with any of my parties' dishes, not sure if that is an option. Time to be seated was less than five minutes for a party of four around 2:20 PM on a Sunday; busier times or days enforce their 90 minute time limit policy per table. The food was well seasoned, wish I tasted it a little more on the meat itself, yet all the vegetables tasted crisp and fresh. If you are looking to have intimate conversations be prepared to speak a lot louder, the DJ booth by the front keeps it pretty lively, but difficult to hold conversations across the table. Open authentic Mexican soda is always refreshing, and if you're looking for a place that has soft serve margaritas this is one of them. If you notice and unusual wait time or slow service please make your choice accordingly as I started to notice it was a case by case basis like some of the previous reviews had mentioned.

Unfortunately today, the service was really bad. Liz, was our waitress and consistently showed me attitude, just saying no to things, etc. Just not a good experience at all. I am fine with hearing no, but there's a way to talk when you're hospitality well. On to the food. Red sauce cheese enchilada - good Green sauce cheese echilada - others loved it, but it's too tangy for me Guacamole - fine and better with fresh jalepenos added Veggie Tacos - meh.. probably the worst item of the day Veggie Quesadilla - it was fine to good Based on this trip, I think I would still come back and just hope to not have the same waitress. Btw, the rest of the staff, walking around were very nice and thoughtful, but how much do you really interact with them. So anyway, we'll see how it goes.

They'll give you a massive "bible" and it's basically a dictionary of all the liquors they have. Every one of them comes from Mexico. We sat at the bar and our bartender was really friendly. To drink, we chose two off the featured cocktail menu. They were doing a tomatillo theme. We ordered the Roasted Tomatillo Jam Sour and Tomatillo-Serrano Herbal Margarita. My favorite was the margarita because it was a little savory. I also got the milk punch which was so good! Probably one of the best I've had. To eat, we ordered the fire fried chicken, late night smash burger, and side of yucca fries. Everything was delicious. The burger is definitely a hidden gem! It was amazing. And the chicken was fried perfectly crispy. For dessert, we got both options: the chocolate strawberry sundae and the coconut tres leches. Both were great and I had difficultly choosing my favorite!

I must admit that I had low expectations because quite frankly, I have not enjoyed Mexican food outside of Mexico or California. However, we were hungry, and it was near where we were staying, so I decided we should check it out, and I am so glad we did! The food was great. Both adults and the VERY picky children in our group all enjoyed our meals. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and the other adult ordered a chile relleno combo, which I also got to try. Everything was delicious and devoured by all! We were so full but the owner talked us into the chocoflan, and we did not regret trying it. It was soooo good! Speaking of the owner, the service was great. We really enjoyed how he and the rest of the staff were very courteous. It is a small establishment, and it gets a good amount of people, so I assume that there are waits during peak hours. I highly recommend Sabroso! And we plan to return the next time we are in the area.

The food was so flavorful, the group favorites were the guacamole and enchiladas potosinas. The squash blossoms with the pistachio macha was another one of my favorites. We got the pork mole dish with their hand pressure tortillas, the tortillas were excellent. The dish was also really good, and this is coming from someone who isn't a huge mole fan. Their guacamole is pretty good and can come loaded with a lot of toppings. I recommend getting them on the side so it's not overwhelming the flavor of the guac itself. The churro sundae was the best part of the meal. We also tried the plantains for dessert (simple but pretty good). I did the pineapple spicy marg which was their seasonal one and it was also pretty good. Friends got their steak which looked good. And their pozole looked the best. That's what I would try if I came back. Their service was aggressive... clearing plates as people hurriedly grabbed the last bite off of them, interrupting conversations. But they did check back on us frequently. It's a little small and the footprint is a little awkward.
