Classic American Village Breakfast Burrito

A small fantastic place for authentic Mexican food The chef and staff alway so kind and accommodating. My kids who are very picky eaters love this place since they know he will go above and beyond to prepare their meals just the way the like it.

Monster horchata and juevos con chorizo

A little FYI....Southern boy raised in Texas on the best Mexican food in the world!! Cute place, I love that there is not an English word anywhere but the menu. The warm salsa is delicious, roasted peppers really set off the flavor. Unlike much of the salsa in the South there wasn't much cilantro, a little disappointing but not too much. The tortilla chips were fresh and not too greasy, absolutely perfect. The large horchata, at $4 was a little pricey (only because I know what the ingredients actually are), but it was thick, fresh, and most of all delicious. Today's breakfast is juevos con chorizo with rice and beans. We'll start with the mediocre; the Spanish rice is the same from a bag fare you can find in any craptastic Mexican joint, the refrejoles tasted homemade and were very heavy on lard and lacking much flavor, a little cumin goes a long way, any cumin even further. Now to the main course of eggs and chorizo, absolutely wonderful. The eggs are flat (no water or milk) and cooked hard scrambled. The chorizo is excellent and evenly blended throughout. All in all I will stick by my 5 Star review as I am most pleased to find very good quality Mexican food this far north!

We walked in around 9 on a Saturday morning and were sat pretty quickly. Love the old skool diner vibes inside. We sat at the counter and met Cortland, this man seems like a legend. He is so helpful, friendly, and real. My husband ordered the dove's deluxe and Cortland recommended the multigrain toast over Texas toast since I already ordered the Texas toast. What an excellent rec, that multigrain is very very good, I'll most likely be getting that every time. He also explained all the sauces in the little sauce basket to us and I'm so glad he did bc every single sauce is inventive and delicious. I got the brisket hash, those crispy potatoes are somethin special. I also had the horchata cold brew, he had regular coffee, they serve awesome coffee. I will most def be back, i understand why this restaurant has been around as long as it has! If you're gonna drive, parking can be a big hairy at this 6 corners, there's random pay to park nearby. They also have reservations for weekdays on opentable if you want to play it safe!

I've been to Barcocina many times. It's a cute place with an amazing patio…read more The Saturday night we came, there happened to be an engagement party on the patio, and a dating event in the bar. Which left some tables open for dining. If we would have realized this before getting seated, I probably would've left. I wish the restaurant would have closed for the events or made us aware. It was very loud! We could not talk or hear each other at all. The food is good! We love the pineapple pork tacos & the bang bang shrimp tacos. I do wish the shrimp tacos had more of a slaw or something on them. The guacamole is really good & the chips are the perfect thickness & saltiness. I've had the elotes dip twice. Both times, not a lot of flavor. No drinks because we wanted to get out asap so we could enjoy our company & conversation. The bathroom situation is fantastic. Several private bathrooms down the hallway. Clean & spacious. Service was just ok, mostly because it was so loud & busy that our server couldn't communicate with us. Next time, I'll make sure it's not booked with a party.

We sat at the bar and enjoyed happy hour. Our drinks were delicious. I got the spicy Margarita and it was delicious. For appetizers we tried the HH Guacamole and the Brussels Sprouts. We enjoyed the Brussels Sprout but were not a fan of the Guacamole. I think in Mexico they would call this Gringo Guacamole. My husband compared the guacamole to massed produced stuff at Costco. This place is so nice and I will be coming back to enjoy that patio during the summer. This establishment is in the heart of West Town with plenty of parking nearby. Suggest checking their social media page because my understanding is that they have dancing on Taco Tuesday.

Hello Yelpers, today the Mrs. & I checked this place out. We had been driving past this place seems…read morelike forever so we decided to try it. The place is nice. Kind of tight inside. It does have some tables by the windows that we were lucky to get. We went on a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty full in there. They do offer carry out if you don't want to dine in. They serve a modern twist on Mexican food. We ordered the enchiladas verde, Buffalo chicken club sandwich, chicken quesadillas & an aqua Fresca (cucumber & lime). We started with the chicken quesadillas they were very flavorful!!! A nice size quesadilla a modest amount of chicken. 7.9/10 My wife had the chicken enchiladas verdes which I tried and they also were very flavorful! They had a nice spice level to them. It came with rice. Not the traditional red rice but the rice was also very flavorful! 8.5/10 I had the buffalo chicken club. This was also a very flavorful sandwich. You could taste the buffalo sauce on the chicken and it wasn't overbearing or spicy. It had avocado on it that added that creaminess that Mayo would add. The only drawback for me was it didn't have any bacon on it. But I'm sure you can add bacon. They give you a choice of sides I got the fries. They were nice thin & crispy with the right amount of salt on them. I'll give the sandwich a 8.5 as well. And I got a cucumber & lime aqua Fresca that was so refreshing. The drink was made to order it tasted soooo fresh! The cucumber tasted like it was just picked from the garden. 9.5/10 Our server name was Y'vette she was so sweet and nice. She made sure we had everything we needed. Our service was a solid 10/10!! I'm definitely returning to try some of the other dishes & some other aqua Fresca's and the service! All in all I'll give them a 9/10. They definitely know flavor in this place. Everything had lots of flavor and cooked perfectly!! They have 3 different locations. We went to the Pilsen location. Check them out if you're in the area. Remember Yelpers all reviews are subjective......

As I ordered my cappuccino and had a conversation with her I tried her Chipotle pasta. The pasta needed more chicken. For the price of this pasta they should add more chicken. My nephew had the pancakes which he ate right away so they were good. Upon my sisters arrival she notice she was able to sit anywhere but there wasn't any utensils nor napkins They served her and my nephew 2 free complimentary donuts which she said were ok. My cappuccino arrived and it was not as hot as it should be. My sister said the same thing about her cappuccino too. They serve it kinda warm cold. The service was so so - Not sure I'd come back.
