Hello Yelpers, today the Mrs. & I checked this place out. We had been driving past this place seems like forever so we decided to try it. The place is nice. Kind of tight inside. It does have some tables by the windows that we were lucky to get. We went on a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty full in there. They do offer carry out if you don't want to dine in. They serve a modern twist on Mexican food. We ordered the enchiladas verde, Buffalo chicken club sandwich, chicken quesadillas & an aqua Fresca (cucumber & lime). We started with the chicken quesadillas they were very flavorful!!! A nice size quesadilla a modest amount of chicken. 7.9/10 My wife had the chicken enchiladas verdes which I tried and they also were very flavorful! They had a nice spice level to them. It came with rice. Not the traditional red rice but the rice was also very flavorful! 8.5/10 I had the buffalo chicken club. This was also a very flavorful sandwich. You could taste the buffalo sauce on the chicken and it wasn't overbearing or spicy. It had avocado on it that added that creaminess that Mayo would add. The only drawback for me was it didn't have any bacon on it. But I'm sure you can add bacon. They give you a choice of sides I got the fries. They were nice thin & crispy with the right amount of salt on them. I'll give the sandwich a 8.5 as well. And I got a cucumber & lime aqua Fresca that was so refreshing. The drink was made to order it tasted soooo fresh! The cucumber tasted like it was just picked from the garden. 9.5/10 Our server name was Y'vette she was so sweet and nice. She made sure we had everything we needed. Our service was a solid 10/10!! I'm definitely returning to try some of the other dishes & some other aqua Fresca's and the service! All in all I'll give them a 9/10. They definitely know flavor in this place. Everything had lots of flavor and cooked perfectly!! They have 3 different locations. We went to the Pilsen location. My sister and her son went and I joined a little afterwards to have a cappuccino. I was excited to try this place out and give my review but I was on a hurry so I asked her how her experience was. As I ordered my cappuccino and had a conversation with her I tried her Chipotle pasta. The pasta needed more chicken. For the price of this pasta they should add more chicken. My nephew had the pancakes which he ate right away so they were good. Upon my sisters arrival she notice she was able to sit anywhere but there wasn't any utensils nor napkins They served her and my nephew 2 free complimentary donuts which she said were ok. My cappuccino arrived and it was not as hot as it should be. My sister said the same thing about her cappuccino too. They serve it kinda warm cold. I drive pass this place plenty of times and finally went in for breakfast. I'm so glad that I did. Sandy was our hostess with the mostest and she made great recommendations. This place won me over with the complimentary donuts that just melt in your mouth. My friend ordered the steak and potatoes and I had the chicken chipotle sandwich. This place is good. We came in and our server jokingly said "we closed the restaurant for you" because the restaurant was empty. We ordered a birria taco dinner and a tilapia taco dinner. To drink we got freshly made watermelon water, which was delicious. After we ordered, a table of four came in. They brought us a donut as an appetizer on the house. It was so good! Our food took quite a bit to come out. It even came out after the table of four. Despite the food taking a while to come out, the food was amazing. I had brunch here yesterday morning with my mother, and since it came highly recommended, we decided to give it a try. We loved it! The atmosphere was cozy, and our waitress was very kind and attentive. I ordered the California omelette with hash browns, which was absolutely delicious. The hash browns were a bit different from the traditional kind--they included corn, beans, and quinoa--but they were amazing. My mother ordered the Mexican omelette with French fries, and she really enjoyed it. She especially liked the texture of the fries and the flavor of the omelette. If I could give this place a 0 I would. My sister had plastics pieces in her food and when I brought it to the waitress attention and ask for the manager they would not bring them out . They only offered a 50% off the burger or a new one. Mind you she already ate plastics pieces and realized too late. I would give this restaurant a 0 if I could. I had a very bad recent experience. I ordered the panini sandwich and it was horrible. The bread was not cooked properly and they gave me scraps and crumbs of fries. I asked for the manager and the server said they weren't there and they did not help me with my undercooked and disorderly meal or offer any sort of compensation. It's truly upsetting and unacceptable to charge such a high price for awful food and service. I used to love this restaurant and their food USED to be amazing and worth the price but this experience has truly ruined this restaurant for me. read more

We were really happy with the food and service. We were at The National Museum of Mexican Art this was a quick walk to grab food. We thought the portions were good and our food was too. I got the American Omelette with fruit. I was full. Husband got a burger and waffle fries. He was happy and full. Only complaint would be the Jamaica ( hibiscus tea ). The prices are way too expensive for food not worth it. I get that the pandemic and inflation has caused prices to spike up but nearly $18 bucks for a sandwich is wild to me. Service was sorta dismissive and the steep prices for basic style entrees like $26 for a plate where I cannot omit the starch and substitute for just salad greens is not my vibe but I'm sure someone else's. I love that the waiter immediately cut me off and pointed to a no substitutions sign and announced it in an almost singsongy way- found it sort of amusing. So it just killed my desire to try their $26 Cucharachas (translation for roaches) which looked like 3 or 4 grilled butterflied shrimp. Screw the rice and fries, how about some extra lettuce- nope, lol. $16 is okay for a salad with 3oz of chicken cut like taco meat was the way to go. So I got a spinach summer salad with chicken that looked pretty and only 1/5th of the greens were rotted. The apples and cheese in the mix were fine, loved that it had some avocado and I found some strawberries cut into confetti and understood this was probably a grand feat accomplished from a Mexican-ish restaurant in Pilsen. Ok so offering a salad is a step up. $32 for a steak in a place like this is a bit tone deaf for the area but I get it, inflation. Maybe it's halal or Argentinian beef they use, doubt it lol. The fresh parts of my salad were tasty, biting into rotted spinach sucks though so I guess I'll focus on the positive. This place has salads. If you're try to do low carb please be advised you cannot modify anything so you'll have to deal with 75% of your plate being fries and rice. But hey, there's salad. Food is less than mediocre. Service? There is none. Servers seem miserable there. You end up paying 15 dollars there for chilaquiles that taste like they were made with herdez salsa and week old tortillas. Even the Cafe de Olla tastes burned and not fresh. I ordered an ubereats pickup for my friend (who's Black) and she went in to pick it up. The really smart hostesses told her "pick up means a driver comes and picks it up." They also said that she called about the order. We did not call. They got their orders confused and gave a delivery driver the wrong order. Instead of just making it again they sent her away. I went in and asked to speak to the manager, who in this case was the owner. He took a really long time to come out even walked by to go to his "truck" before speaking to us. He came out and immediately started speaking to me in Spanish. It is rude to assume someone speaks Spanish and it is rude to speak Spanish in front of non-Spanish speakers. I said "your employees gave away my order why can't you just make a new one." He said to me "You think it's so easy for me to re-make my product?" I had ordered chilaquiles. So I said "Sir, how hard is it to make tortillas, eggs and cheese?" He would not re-make the order. I honestly think if I had gone in there instead of my black friend they would have re-made the tortillas, eggs and cheese. The hostesses there need an attitude check. They were defending the owner that most likely doesn't pay them enough and doesn't have a tortilla to spare. Not young Latinas having fake brows AND leaning into their whiteness! I said "I live the down the street and I'm never coming here again." The hostess said "then don't order." Why defend your place of business with such passion? Do you have a personal connection with the establishment? The owner perhaps? Disrespecting customers is a great way to stay in business post-pandemic, in 2021. I have eaten multiple times at the Brighton Park location. Everytime it is top notch. Even when I reheat the quesadilla, it tastes right out of the kitchen. The fish tacos are big and worth the price. the flavors of this place are beyond. The burgers are huge and cooked to your temperature preferance. The guy server or whatever he is, had a sour face. He has a face with subtitles and id like to think he wasn't deliberately ignoring us calling for his help but it was on multiple occasions.
